I have been riding bikes my whole life and a whole lot. Last week my old bike which I had over 60000 km with got stolen. I have been watching your channel a lot lately and thought, maybe it is time for my first fixed gear bike. And yeah, after two minutes I did my first skids (short ones, very short), and I felt like learning to ride my bike again. So good! I am looking forward to my fixed gear adventures!!

I've had a bug end up in my mouth LAST year. 😂It FELT huge, I remember the impact, buzzing around in my mouth, spitting it out! Then wondering what must've gone through its mind!😂
Whata going to do with the Boat Anchor this Winter? Let it sink in the Snow? Go back something good, like a Wabi. PLEASE!!!!
Their nor snappy unless you move to a high end wheelset and stiff cranks. not that the weight would ever get low and still be as effective as what you rode now. But do some better wheels and I promise it will move to top 5 or even 3 in your stable.
I envy the no hand thing while riding and talking to the camera.
To me it seems like any decent frame rides just fine and diff lies in geo, tire clearances, and details. One has to buy really crappy frame with heavy plain gauge tubing and soft fork ends to have issues with it, not enjoy riding it and wanting to replace with something better.

It all come down to weight . If a person is not racing or having to carry bike up and down stairs then weight don't matter . I enjoy bikes for what they are they are bikes

Get a singlespeed road bike rather than a fixie, at least you can coast. I ride a Genesis Flyer singlespeed and I'm old and fat too 😀
Old, follicly challenged and was fat. Get a single speed. Trust me lost 42 pounds. I may be a little bit overweight now, but I’m healthy and I feel a lot better. Don’t overthink it just get a bike that fits you and is comfortable. No one cares how much it weighs. You’re not gonna be doing the Tour de France just ride.
It's a young man's game. Fixed/ss is swimming against the current and only young people have the vitality to do it. Don't worry about it too much

I have a 3x7 geared Giant ATX outfitted as more of a hybrid instead of a mountain bike. I lost about 30 pounds 3 years ago, but it’s hard keeping it off.
The California foothills have different requirements than the Central Valley. I could not get around here on my old 6 speed, let alone a single.

I've got a steel frame diamond shaped tube set and it's so springy and fast. The one thing that never gets spoken about with steel is the tube shape and I wish there was more information for the people.

I have one of those, but I have to wear it beside my right (dominant) eye, or I get a headache. I guess that would work better in England, but I just tilt my head towards the shoulder a bit to check closer in behind me on the left.

Tyrant bikes is a new company right?
new but started by dudes in the bikes business for decades
Tyrant was started by the original, LEADER Bikes guy (back in the day Leaders, before he got f-d over from refusing to pay for/sell a batch of "irregular" / flawed bikes from their manufacturer). He's now partnered with some new die-hard fixed gear riders and started Tyrant. This steel Legacy is an homage to the popular Leader bike design. Check out their site and also, Brotures (selling them in Japan).
SN: When I spoke to Tyrant regarding fitment/size; They promised to exchange the frame they suggested if I was unhappy (even after I build it and checked it built. Sending me a shipping label etc.) It wasn't necessary because the 52cm for my 172cm ht. is perfect. I'm in the US btw.
