- in this gameplay I go against player of various skill levels, but the catch is, we will all be using the same aim setting and weapon. This way, we are all in equal footing. The only advantage one will have in this match is their experience and skills. So, does Auto Aim have a skill gap?

Definitely, I'm a middle aged guy that likes to play GTAO and RDO on occasion and even with lock on I'm often not quick enough versus younger experienced players. A little easier in RDO where you can use ability cards like slippery bastard and slow and steady against lightening fast paint it black players.

Auto aim definitely has a skill gap and takes skill. For players to think that auto aim doesn't take skill is because they believe it's a simple, "lock on" and that's it. Nice vid, Fonshway
Yes, but i prefer de free aim, in contrat to auto-aim specially when the opps lag (death animation & stand-up) for exemple

As an old freeaim player both takes skill most freeaim players think it dont take skill cause you can lock on but its more then dat freeaim your aim has to be on point and gotta have good footwork
I've always said both take skill. It's understandable why free aimers think it's just lock on and shoot. They forget the glitch roll, side step etc that counter lock on.
Also for an auto aimer to try out in free aim will be difficult at first as they're pretty dependent on that L2/Lt aim then just shoot.

People that argue that free aim takes more skill fail to recognize the fact that the person shooting at you also has auto aim. It’s all relative.

I don’t know how many times we will have to tell FA elitists that it’s A. Preference of gameplay and B. If it took no skill, people would be going even in Deathmatches WAY more-not just in RNG maps either. Adversary Mode, LTS-even the nearly dead Capture and Versus modes will have *normal match results like in any other game.*
If people average out in a AA DM or in any other map/mode, there’s a 90% chance they were either all fresh or everyone was good at the game, JUST like in FA.
Either way, we need to start asking these FA elitists to try the Doomsday Criminal Mastermind challenge COMPLETELY in FA if it’s that big of a deal. Would love to see their pain.

Yes that's right, and you should be using full aim assist

Wouldn't say "no skill". Remember everyone is on auto aim too, so it should be even. The timing it takes to make people miss with the rolls, counter rolls and side steps, requires a different set of skills.
