Thanks mate! Yeah I think this might have been the first time in my professional animator carreer that I polished up some mocap for a "cinematic trailer shot". It was very fun, quite different compared to making gameplay animations and setups! I feel like I must emphasize that I only had a very small role in the making of the trailer, basically just polishing up the heavy character animations for these specific shots. Everything else in the trailer is made in-house by our incredible media team and other animators working on the project

You may or may not remember me but I was one of the cosplayers at twitchcon san diego (the one wearing the Descartes demon mask) I just wanted to say how amazing you and the rest of the animation team are doing. It still insane how a relatively smaller team is cable of creating such high quality work. Seriously this stuff gives modern cod a run for its money. Keep up the incredible work!
i don't believe you get enough respect for how stunning your work is oskar, for me at least-animating spinning is hard-but you execute it elegantly with this excellent feeling of both weight and fluidity your work is incredible, and i do sincerely hope you never plan to stop doing what you're doin'
Crazy to me how a single animator did a better job than sp many games who use an entire team for animations. Youre the reason what makes the weapons so fun to use. All the gund you worked on i love using

Oh, so you're the one responsible for all these amazing animations! I just have to say thank you so much for your work, it all looks so stunning and really contributes to The Finals' amazing sense of style :)
It varies a lot. Could be anything from 4-40 hours depending on the complexity and length of the animation. Generally I would say it's about 8 hours from start until final polish is done, but stuff like the dual deagles where there is two independent meshes with their slides and magazines you can probably double it.
This might be a bit random, but back when you released the season 1-2 animation video you showed an ammo audit inspect animation for the xp54. Maybe you’re not allowed to answer this but are there any plans to release that animation, or a new animation pack for the xp in season 5?
Hey Oskar! Amazing work as always! Quick question though: I noticed the charm holder thingy isn’t visible in the video, but in-game, it’s always present on weapons/gadgets without a charm equipped. I feel it can sometimes clash with certain skins (like the snub nose revolver, for example). Would it be possible to add an option to hide/disable the holder when no charm is equipped?
I dont really have the time to make sure, but is the fretting for the guitar correct? cause if so, that might be one of the most impressive animations for a weapon I've ever seen 🔥
I seriously seriously seriously want to be apart of the team at Embark. I have never animated before but this game has really wanted me to start and try. I really wanna animate for this game
The animations really add to the game. I even bought the ak ones as a f2p! I do have a question though: what is the difference between the default and primetime animations? Also, slight nitpick, the added animations can get annoying. The ak equip animation did get on my nerves a bit and the new deagle one seems repetitive with prolounged use. Obviusly I cant even compete with them, but still a perspective of mine

It is correct, but it's not standard tuning, I believe it's some "drop D" variation.

How long did it take to animate the guitar?
Maybe something like 4-5 hours. Biggest part of that was getting the hands/fingers looking decent.
