The easiest way to S-Rank this mission is to give D-Walker the highest armor and have Snake wear the Battle Dress and Shield. You can have D-Walker just boost through the entire thing and beat it in under 2 minutes.
+PowerPyx my initial attempt at trying to get s rank, i hugged the left side of the map all the way through...but never worked out..i also did it it in day light...gna try your path next.
There's actually an even EASIER way to do this mission in under 3min. Just select to start the mission by night, choose whatever partner you want, select a Jeep than stop it just a few meters before the main gate with all the guards, just the enough to not get seeing, than throw a smoke grenade in the back of the Jeep an pass by everyone until you get to the end of the path, smoothly go to the stairs while every enemy still talking about the smoke, and then you finished it. Did this, didn't draw any weapon and got luck cause there was a sandstorm in the beginning of the mission, so I didn't even got a single exclamation mark on the enemy. Ended up with 182.900 points, give it a try, even without the sandstorm works.
If the Walker at the end in front of the blast doors has decided to permanently look your way, then simply go right and through the stairs, you don't need to crouch in those as the steps are small and Snake can crawl them and avoid any detection, this way you will reach the third flight of stairs inside the elevator shaft. Also, if you do this mission and destroy all their generators (3) and independent light stations that would be on your way, complete it and then start it again, they will all remain broken, so your only light source will be the moon. Also, by destroying the generators all cameras will respawn in your next try, but with no power they will be all off.
+Nhilzer definitely an ugly way to play Metal gear however its usually the first play though that u experiance the game on yr own...walkthroughs like this second hand make yr strategy look weak...looks easy but let me tell u...try n youll see u may not hve the same result...this was perfect timing...n having knowledge of the field of vision..

+JSPUFC if you play a mission once, you will know where the target are and when replay, you can go straight to it. In every infiltration mission like this one, there're only two way is either left or right.
Its all replay....n more than likely theres another vid out there from the DEV that uploaded it.. thats y its best to play the game without watching these videos...play the missions as u see fit the first time maybe even the second time...once u feel that u cant get s rank..thats whn u watch how others did it..the beauty of it is that theres multiple ways to get s rank...cuzz let me tell u the way he did it wont b the same result for u...i got s rank going to the left
I got tagged by the spotlight guy at about 7:50 but restarted the checkpoint and still got No Traces! I thought it would’ve counted that like it does cumulative mission time but thankfully not. Also the walker at 8:15 was facing the way in, so I crawled behind him on the left and then hid behind the left wall of the entrance by the elevator shaft.
So what the hell, I skipped all the cutscenes, went through the entire mission without getting into reflex mode once, no kills, and did it all in a smooth run without checkpoint restarts, and here I am finding out why I got an A.
Nope I didn't, I have platinum'd the game now though. I figured that I must've been near the time limit for an S rank, so the 1-2 min long walk could've really affected it. I knew you could skip the jeep ride, but I thought that since you had to actually walk right after the helipad scene, it didn't count as a cutscene and didn't even bother trying to skip.
The guy in the video got "No Traces" which is really hard to get because the slightest error can disqualify you from obtaining that bonus, so that might have been it
i neat little trick i found saved my ass more than once, is to command d-dog to start barking if i get too many soft spots at once here. all the nearby guards immediately focus on him and i can sneak away
I got super lucky. Sandstorm kicked in after I passed the first gate. Ran straight through the last two gates. Ran in front of two guards (talking distance) and didn't see me. Lol
I found the 3rd section hard so just called for a tank and drove it straight to the stairway to skull face lol made it just in time before tank exploded :D
4:09 can't walk / crawl / sneak through the main door. There is a sniper who sees me as soon as I come around the corner. **EDIT** Finally got it. Fuck man, this is a stressful mission lol. Random luck if a sniper will be looking right at you as you come in to one of the three kill boxes (huge doors).
Did it in 13 min and got S rank with FOXHOUND codename on first attempt and to make it easier on the last part instead of getting behind the walker you can just take the stairs to the right and climb the rocks to get inside the stairs room.
Wow, I just went through this, not spotted, noticed, didn't tranq anyone, I threw ONE magazine because the robot at the walker at the very end kept looking inside the place, and I guess that made me not get "no trace"
I was able to get to the final gate without anyone seeing me, I had set up two decoys and the guards were going to investigate. I jumped down from the wall I was hiding behind and *the fucking helicopter saw me!!!* That bumped my rank down to a *D*!
I used a zhuk rs-zo and just drove in there lol…my first time i used the parasite suit with 6 cartridges! …the tank took 2 minutes…the parasite suit took 8..S rank with either..tank is the easiest tho
I came across the same problem what I did was crawl close to its side, then threw a magazine on the other side so the D walker turned around and I snuck through quick. hope I helped
So if u do mission this way u will get a s rank soldier automatic .. Can the mission be redone after and collect all the goodies u past up some side ops I see can't be redone

+kinezu hmm... when he's about to spot you and the white marker shows up just stay still for a while. He will look somewhere else then. Also be sure to do this at night and equip the sneaking suit that I have equipped in the video. The sneaking suit is perfect for night infiltrations.
I completed it by using the ladders to bypass the first and second gate. if you get on the turret of the first gat (using the ladder), there will be a path down to the right. while equipped with desert fox, you can hop down it and roll across the road with only one guard calling a suspicious sight. on the other side, there'll be a path of open archways wich block the snipers view. go through there and you'll be to the right of the sniper. crawl along the edge of the right perimeter wall untill you reach the second gate. when the walker gear goes away, go up past the guard near the sandbags and line up parallel to the building behind him. roll across the street and put the building between the sandbag guard and you. follow the second gate wall and you'll find a ladder. first gate area cleared. you can bypass all of OKB zero if you stick to the left the majority of the time. thats how i did it.
Wow, I actually managed to do this in 8:00.140 and I'm not that good at this game. This method is phenomenal. Thank you! This was one of my least favorite missions on my first playthrough.
You cannot have any checkpoints in this playthrough. Normally you can get away with one or a couple. The only thing that really pisses me off is when Snake decides to stand up without you telling him to and you get caught. Also, the game seems to wanna change things up on ya from time to time.
Did it rather similarly on my 2nd try on this mission (my 1st run was a complete warzone..), hadnt watched this video yet and i went from the left side, climbed the walls n stuff. So, i was past the 2 gates and a sandstorm hit in, i took advantage and got to the last section easily, and i had not fired a single shot until then, mind you... and i saw the storm was about to clear and that 1 last guard i stupidly shot with a tranq, whereas i later realized i couldve simply waltzed right past him..... and thanks to my stupidity ruining no traces bonus, i ended the mission with 121,000 score and an A rank... That was god damn annoying lmao.. I suppose 3'rd time's the charm..

If you watch the cutscenes it might void the S-Rank :( It's an absurd system, cutscenes add to your time and massively reduce your overall score. And since this is an S-Rank walkthrough... well you get the idea :p It's either getting the S-rank or enjoying the story with cutscenes, you can't have both. I would have included them otherwise.

Hey guys if you do have trouble with this one you can also do it by driving through with a stout ifv-fs and turning reflex mode off

using d Walker and boosting away helps, but be careful at the end cause there's an elevator hole that you can fall into
D-Walker can power you through this in 2:40 minutes- so long as you bail before the elevator :P

Yess when i did this mission there was a sandstorm made things way easier,didnt want to do the d walker tactic,i wanted to be stealthy
A alternative easy way to get a S Rank is, bring with you a jeep and trow on it a smoke grenade and just drive like a crazy to your objective.

Cheat for this: throw a smoke granade in your car, make sure the smoke is following u and drive through to the end. 4min and mission complete
The best way is to just drive a fast tank in there. Done in 2 minutes lol

The guards really are blind in this game. They must have nerfed them to make stealth play possible.
