For those chinese saying its similar to chinese traditional dress, yes its similar as the Mongols conquered China and left some of their culture to you and a bunch of descendants.
Well China also conquered Mongolia and influenced them heavily. Mongolian are nomads, they're used to dress like barbarian, they traded leather for silk in the past, and started wearing like East Asian. The redesigned dress is definitely more "Chinese" feel and nothing alike what Mongolian wear. And maybe you should specify what Mongolian culture left in China.

@@QWERTY-gp8fd Not really. Since the ancient times, the Han Dynasty and the nomadic people that lived in Mongolia had been fighting for centuries. I am so embarrassed by the design. Since nomadic cultures resemble one another, not entire nomadic outfits are for Mongolians. The issue with the Mongolian uniform is that it seems more inspired by Manchu outfits than actual traditional Mongolian clothing. The Manchus conquered Mongolia over 200 years ago and established the Qing Dynasty in China. Their uniforms share similarities with the current design. Yes, I know, for foreigners it may look fantastic. And I can't deny that! However, for the Olympics, it's important for Mongolian athletes to represent their unique cultural heritage. If I went into the details of the clothing's discrepancies, it would take a long time. I strongly believe there was a missed opportunity to showcase authentic Mongolian designs on a global stage. It feels like a missed chance to celebrate Mongolian culture.
This is a complete reach. Just because you feel like that does not mean the rest of us feel like that. Also sounds like you need to research the history of deel. The Manchus have always been heavily linked to us through culture, history and even clothing. The Manchus adopted their traditional clothing from us since they were also nomadic people.
