....I agree, and I love her calm way of talking ...there are certain foods I miss I wish she would show us how to make, like these hard crunchy cookie type cookie but it is not sweet but has black pepper in them, also the bread individual servi g sizes with boiled egg, fried pork salt bacon in side I think it's made around Christmas time also the type of ricotta cheese cake with bits of candied fruit so good it has lemon zest in it I think ....my exMother inlaw Maria Tutina Scudieri from Naples rip was so Wonderful to cook for us and teach me ....I miss her and rely loved her when I watch Lidia it brings so much joy reminding me of other wonderful woman as well 🙏🏽🏞️🌾💨☀️🌹💎

I made this tonight following the instructions closely, minus the wine because I forgot. Three pounds of littlenecks, half pound of linguine. It really came out great. Lidia’s correct, it took a while to shuck the clams. Excellent recipe.

Hi Lidia, I just made this pasta and it is so good!! Thanks for the recipe - easy to follow and it turned out quite well. The clams we get in Singapore is not as big but still we can get quite fresh ones. I Enjoy all your family stories as well ❤️
ONLY way TO go is extra broth. Highly recommend using bottled clam broth/juice, readily available most groceries!! I do that and a nice white wine!! And a ton of garlic!!🧄 FRESH clams are the best but I've also used canned clams before with acceptable results!👌👍😁 And a dab of butter!!!🙌 Yes, ridiculously "American" but everyone DOESN'T always have access to fresh clams!!😢 Sad but true!!👎 Don't complain just keep it moving instead!!🙌😁👌
I've seen this dish cooked on YT many times. Never have I seen the cook plucking the meat out of the shells. Great effort and great idea! Much better eating experience. 👍

.....she just got made at you lol no shimp in this, ....haha Italians have a cook book it's the Bible on their cooking ...if a recipe does not call for cheese they don't put cheese type of thing they stick to tradition ....I'm in the states I love many of the Cooking shows Bobby Flay is my favorite cooking show and Rachel Ray my relative would see a cookie ng show where they are adding something in a italian dish and he would walk by and say in english call it it something else with his hand in the air it was as do funny, this dish looks so good when a child I wanted to put cheese and they would say no get the cheese a break lol
I add cooked shrimp toward the end just to warm them up and I’ve added raw tuna toward the end (for more protein) so it cooks. Lidia does have a pasta recipe using canned tuna, but I prefer using raw-just feels fresher.

So far this is the best version of this recipe on youtube, at least by my own reckoning, thank you for this gem.
If you add a couple of tablespoons of butter at the end and shake the pan to emulsify the butter into the sauce then you have and incredible dish.
