- Here are the best Halloween cereals you can buy RIGHT NOW, but you need to run because these are all limited edition cereals that won't be around for long. This is truly my first time trying Halloween cereals, which I think is pretty WILD. I've always fantasized about Count Chocula TBH, in the most snack-ably platonic way of course LOL and now I finally get to try it. I also threw in some pumpkin inspired delicious fall cereals (Special K with pumpkin and pumpkin Wheat Thins) just to pumpkin spice it up!
Stick around for my top ten...ooops...top eight favorite Halloween/Fall cereals.

My cereal PTSD was learning how to read a nutrition label at like the age of like 7, because over the years my mom gave me a very specific grams per serving of sugar that I had to stay under in order to buy the cereal of my "choice." Obviously, this led me to buy the most insane sugary cereal the second I graduated high school and moved out. I basically lived off of Count Chocula and Cookie Crisp in college. 😆

@@valerie1864 I wasn’t allowed to have Cookie Crisp as a child, so when I tried it as an adult I was so disappointed!! Although I still think kid-me would have loved it 😂
@@ElleAlexandria I do think SO many of my favorite childhood snacks just no longer scratch the snack itch for me. Which actually does make me sad (looking at you dunkaroos....)

Oh ya! Cap'n Crunch was the BEST! I have 50 year old scar tissue on the roof of my mouth from eating handfuls of Cap'n Crunch outta the box.😅

Count chocula and Boo Berry and Franken Berry And Captain Crunch are my favourite. And the other cereals that I also like to the kid were strawberry shortcake, cereal, and Winnie the Pooh cereal. I just don’t care for pumpkin spice 🤢I find its way overrated and there’s too much of it around fall time. I need to come up with a different fall favourite flavor.

I agree with Valerie. It's not as hyped up as she (Erin not Valerie) says it is. To me it's not very sugary and doesn't seem to have much fruity flavor, if any flavor at all really. Just plain boring cereal really

Chocolate Frosted Flakes are definitely available year round. I’ve seen them and bought them at Walmart before. Something I’ve recently started to see is Cinnamon Toast Crunch Frosted Flakes.

Pumpkin spice cheerios are my favorite pumpkin flavored food.
My husband and I watched this one together. He was allowed to eat sugar cereal as a child.. I also went to my friends house to have a sugar cereal fix. I loved Lucky Charms. LOL.

No sugar cereal growing up for me either. I also ALL the snacks at a friend’s house/ thank goodness my friend’s parents could spare all the hostess cakes I’d eat.
I was allowed to pick my sugar cereal during spring break vacation. It felt so good to get lucky charms off the shelf during those two weeks haha

I'm a mom that tries to only buy her kiddos Cinnamon Life or multigrain cheerios. Ill throw in an occasional cinnamon toast crunch or captin' crunch. I often get asked to buy lucky charms and i totally would if the cereal part of it didn't taste like bland cat kibble.
I kind of agree about Lucky Charms. It has always been my least favorite.
Orange is the favorite color of 7 of my kid's preschool classmates including his 😂

I love honey/sugar smacks but dry as a snack not as a cereal with milk. I love all things pumpkin spice and my brother made fun of me when I asked him to pick me up some pumpkin spice bagels at the store (I was sick) and when he called me to repeat back the small list I sent him with I asked if he got the pumpkin spice bagels he said "yeah I got your white girl bagels"... Thanks bro 😅

The original Monster cereals I like (Count Chocula, BooBerry, Frankenberry). I tried Fruit Brute for the first time this year and absolutely hate it. And the stores around here only sell it in the family size I'm hate-eating my way through it. My 6 year old doesnt even like it!

We had a variety of cereal but only cud open one at a time😵💫..thank goodness for cereal containers😁 my 2 favs as a kid was Smacks & honey nut Cheerios......now I like fruity pebbles, smacks, golden grahams, granola

You made me laugh. You said that the Hocus Pocus 2 cereal had a berry brew flavor & then you described it as tasting like grape and orange flavors (from Fruity Pebbles). I thought that it was kind of ironic (& funny!) that the 2 flavors that you named are not berries & you didn't even have that look that you give when you are just joking with us. I was watching for that look, since you said berry brew & then named fruits that weren't berries. Even if it wasn't intentional this time, you still made me laugh (thank you for that).

"Sugar Smacks" is called Sugar Crisp in Canada. That's all my parents would get and I wasn't allowed to eat it because it was sweet (and it was Dad's cereal). I was allowed Honey Nut Cheerios if I was lucky.
Fun thing though...on summer holidays I was allowed to have one sugar cereal and one snack food. We were usually walking a lot so it probably gave me more energy.
I love berry cereal but I'm totally hunting down the Count Chocula too.

I didn’t like sugary cereals as a kid. I remember buying Barbie cereal once for getting a good report card and taking one bite and throwing away the rest. I liked Cheerios and corn flakes a lot. To this day the sweetest I can go is Honey Nut Cheerios. My husband grew up eating knock off fruit loops (and other similar cereals). Now we don’t even buy cereal for our daughter. We eat oatmeal with natural peanut butter (unsalted ground up peanuts) and fruit. The reasoning is that there are lots of serious health issues in our family so we are trying to set her up with a good foundation so that she can hopefully avoid some of those issues later on in life.
Abby, you're a good mom!!! The health thing is for SURE something to consider as a parent with these cereals. My parents weren't giving me "healthy" cereal...but really bad "sweet" cereal so that's where my resentment came from LOL
As someone who's been buying the frosted Mini wheats for years it's actually just cinnamon and others spices, I don't think there's any pumpkin in it. Those and the Special K seasonal flavor are my to go to go choose for fall.
I knew there would be some fall cereal purists out there who would appreciate the "less" sugary cereals!
Count Chocula is one of my favorite cereals! The regular chocolate frosted flakes (available all year) without the marshmallows is my favorite cereal and I also crave apple jacks from time to time. My husband thinks I am weird because I eat cereal for dessert.
I can't believe I lived my whole life without count chocula!
