- Hello and welcome back to Transport Fever 2!
It's no secret that our mainline between Hull and Broomfleet has been getting busier and busier with new freight, passenger and express passenger services. This is leading to an increasing amount of delays and backlogs which is really impacting our profits.
So what's the solution? Well surely we can't cut the amount of services we're offering down this section of track, because let's face it the passenger services are all packed! So the obvious answer is more track. The complicated junctions we already have in place however, may prove this solution a lot more difficult than is sounds!

You may want to consider making trains longer rather than having more frequency to improve efficiency, although this may require extending signal blocks and platforms.
Also note the seat density. From my calculations, the Bombardier Voyagers have one of the highest capacity densities (calculated from length divided by seats) from the available UK train mods for TpF2, although I cannot remember what trumps them. I do believe the shorter sets have better density than the longer sets, likely because first class has less dense seating.
While outright extending a train may add capacity, density will really improve your network by reducing the length platforms need to be extended, if at all. Also note that if you have trains like the voyagers on a regional service, their superior acceleration due to increased maximum speed will still benefit the service as they can reach similar speeds in shorter timeframes before the acceleration tapers off.
Absolutely a good idea to increase the amount of track available, you may want to invest in completely segregating routes of a similar nature onto their own tracks, minimising the amount of switches the network has being used and not cramming everything down a section of track which will cause huge knock-on delays. You may also want to try and add more powerful and more locomotives to freight to improve their acceleration and capabilities on gradients so they can get out of the way of passenger services.

I’d love to see you use some trains like 185s and 67s. I don’t know if you do but you should have a sort of express service that runs around all the terminus stations using something like a voyager or that could be what you use for the 185. But I don’t know if you have that already.
Multiple Trains are in bad condition! Get...rid...of...the...390s...
For my bypasses i like to have a station with 4 tracks but only the outer 2 tracks have the platforms so you can still have 2 tracks but allow traffic to keep moving! I think you needed more tracks though for your traffic volume.
Rather than a bidirectional bypass just delete the platform and add another track, if you dont use the track you should just not build another one until you need it in my opinion.
Hi Joe omg I have a headache now after watching this mabe it might be worth looking at what you can allocate to certain platforms. You have far too much traffic going through one place so it might be worth cutting back a bit. Having said that I am still enjoying this series

Nothing better than watching a busy station, as long as there is no traffic jam of course. I guess you've made a good decision to quattrack it.
It'll hopefully let us kick a problem down the road for a few more episodes haha :D

NO JOE, no bi-directional fast lines, this is turning into the failed Joe Dobson Modernisation plan, Brunel did a better job than this! although better than before in some places. I have a genius plan though... You four track the Express line from York to Hull and put something like class 319's on the slows and freight to take more stress off the line you've just been complaining about.
Where do you get all your assets for transport fever 2 from? I've just got the game and I'd like to have some British vehicles, if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Could make 2 through lines and 2 platforms for stopping non stopping can go straight through
if you get or have the fences asset mod from the steam workshop you can place the fences on the station at the start of the vid, just change the offset a bit as it snaps to the track. it works really well. i havent played in months so not sure on the actual mod name
