- Hello and welcome back to Transport Fever 2!
Well after the last episode where we freed up so much more capacity for our mainline trains, the naturally sensible thing to do would be to leave it right? Wrong! Let's add more trains until we're right back where we started!
The oil wells on the East Coast of the map appear to be only producing 50% of what they can actually make. After following it through the chain this is because the current oil refineries are full to capacity. So let's set up new oil routes to new oil refineries to really maximise that production!

One tips for you Joe, when trying to balance everything out, there's a line information button on the bottom right you can look at, see the rate of any particular line and try to have same rate between the connecting lines and the production rate of the industry. Rate is the amount of product delivered at a particular time. This way you can know whether you have enough capacity or not.

Electrify? Maybe having high acceleration will help, raising the speed limit on the goods line might help too.
I reckon you're having the oil issues because your storage building capacity is not high enough for the size of the train you're running. The bigger the storage module, the more cargo it can store at the station. Also remember that each terminal has a set cargo storage, and all overflow of all terminals combined will go into the buildings. Have a look at the description of those cargo train station modules and see what they can store, perhaps it's worth upgrading some of them to bigger ones.
I don't know if you've seen, but there's a companion mod to the 185 that says it improves some of the looks and the sound. Never gotten far enough to try it for myself though, so can't vouch either way.
Are you planning on doing diff passenger trains? some high speed ones or some electric?
Have you ever tried the build with collisions mod, Joe? It saves your frustrations with building junctions.
I haven't, I really do need to download this mod :D
You should use the industrial revolution mod on your next series.
Great video there mate. Not sure if you heard the news bus DB Cargo are retiring their Class 60's this year. I will be going to do more Transport Fever 2 videos later this year on my new laptop. I love this game.
I don’t know what line you’d use it on but I’d love to see you use a 68 please. I don’t think you’ve got DRS on your map and you tried earlier on in the series but it gave you GBRF instead so now would be a good time.

The congestion issue is making me think that more junctions need to be grade separated and moving more stations on to sidings and re-routing the bypasses to the outside of stations. Such as around the Broomfield station where half the line is shared with a station and when a train is in the station, the bypass is blocked
Oh and speeding up a lot of the old rail that is there
I have a feeling you might need to 4 track the Broomfield flyover to cope with the increased traffic.
You should install the tpe class 68 nova 3 mod and replace the 158 express services with them
If you have any underground stations mods you could build a metro line for hull or another big city.
Making the area where the tramline , goole line and the new road be elvated with the smoothing tool
Please either 80X or 68 for express? Seems more modern than a 158
