The most important question was not asked. How did they come to realize you were actually in danger of drowning? Then what was done to get you out alive?
Apparently she pointed at a camera and mouthed for them to press the button to release the water
she was in there for three minutes, so at that point everyone probably realized that she wasn't acting lol
I heard a stunt man thought it was going on for a little too long and saved her but I don’t know what exactly happened
Her banging her hands of the glass was their way of knowing she needs help
I think the stunt man realized she was in there for too long
Safe signal here was a key to saving her life and it’s unfortunate that there wasn’t one set in place.
The fact that the scene involved her character actually struggling is really unsettling and thankfully her life was saved.
It's not just unfortunate, it's criminally negligent.
I always think of Blu from Rio when I hear Jesse's voice, lol. But that's a huge accomplishment Isla Fisher made when she saved herself from such a scary situation!!

See this is why I would like have a actual key motion like ear to nose to knee to say: “ I’m not acting get me out!!!!” But if I forgot like they did, I would pretend to pass out so they would panic and actually drain the water.

You wouldn't. By the time you would realize that they don't understand you and you run out of options, you are fighting for your life to catch any oxygen, your body starts acting out, desperately trying to catch the breath and you have no control over it. And the more you run out of oxygen in your blood, the more panic and the more panic, the faster the oxygen is being used by your body. Once you realize you are in trouble, you get so nervous, that you are left with very low amount of oxygen, you get nervous and the oxygen are being used even way faster. Suffocation always comes with high anxiety, people who suffocated said it's a terrifying experience, because they know they are dying and can't do nothing. Also, your body starts producing substances that are making you feel anxious, terrified - so it's not only up to your way of thinking and possibility of making up fast decisions or handeling the stress. Litery Your body chemistry change and make your brain panic
Your wold also have to fight your body not to catch a breath underwater. Unfortunately, humans have to actively think not to take a breath underwater and fight the urge to do so. Only newborns and very little children have it as automatism/reflux that they stop breathing underwater (that's why some swimming lessons for little babies - you can throw little baby to the pool and not worry that it will breath the water in, even though the baby can't annalize the situation and decide to hol it's breath - it's organism is simply doing it for the baby). If you run out of oxygen, finally you would "break" and take the breath underwater

I know it's hard to think in these sorts of situations, but if for some reason you find yourself in this situation, maybe flipping off the camera would alert them to, "oh this isn't good!" this is such a scary scenario! I'm glad she's ok.

Whichever staff members set that up and didn’t provide her with a safe-signal need to lose their jobs. There is a responsibility to keep employees safe in these scenes, and they endangered an actresses life.
