“It’s a privilege in life to be completely obliterated, in terrible pain, and to force yourself to get up, and get back in the fight. That’s how you grow man.” -Chadd Wright I will not forget that.
Seeing someone run 250 miles through that terrain on little to no sleep will make your problems not seem so bad. Very inspirational and so well put together. 10/10
I understand what you’re trying to say, but to be able to run such a race, or any race is quite a privilege. That guy is awesome and he’s extremely lucky to be able to train and race on events like this one. Of course you will encounter highs and lows on a 250mile race but, people’s « valid » problems (like financial problems, illness or any stuff like that) can be much worse than signing up to a race and decide to suffer because trail races are hard, and after some distance, the suffering starts inevitably. Running is a privilege.
Chad, I live in Marietta. I started watching your UA-cam channel in Jan.-2024. I just watched ONE MILE OUT. I have forwarded ONE MILE OUT to several friends and told them they must watch the entire video. I can't say enough as to how your crew and you have become a HUGE motivational force for me. I have fairly serious orthopedic issues with my Lumbar section of my lower spine. Three surgeons have told me surgery will not be of any benefit. I couldn't walk 100-feet without pain engulfing my low spine. ONE MILE OUT! I've taken the motivation I get from you to now go from a limit of 100-feet to walking 1/3 of a mile. Sounds like little consequence. I still have the same pain as before but now I tell myself to grab the bull by the snout. I have had Ranger's tell me pain let's you know you are alive. You said this in ONE MILE OUT. I plan to contact you when I do 1-mile! Pray for our Republic! God Bless you!
People always mention guys like David Goggins, Jocko, etc. But there’s so many tough people out here like Chad who just aren’t as popular who still have such a big impact on people to push to their limits. These are the people I look up to, humble, mentally/physically tough individuals. Stay hard brother. ❤
I retired three years ago at age 60 after a 42 year workaholic career and my mind and body went to shit. This is giving me something I can't put into words. It's time.
In trying to relate this race to our lives. I have concluded that you cannot finish alone. You have to have help from God and brothers and sisters who care. ❤ Thank you so much
Unbelievable......the mental strength of a Navy Seal. The physical discipline of his body is inspiring, I will never forget this video and I will watch it when I need inspiration. Thank you sir.
Chad I signed up for the race on Day 3 of Cocodona 2023 having followed your progress. Right about now I'm 12 days out from the start of the 2024 version, and looking forward to being in that one mile out mindset. You and your crew are an inspiration, brother. Steady.
Congratulations to the entire 3 of 7 team. Not only did the crew handle the logistics and management of Chadd, they ran portions of the race as pacers. Outstanding team!
Brother.. Tears down my face right now.. What you said about the last mile hit home. I come from homeless and addiction and everyday I fight. I'm going threw test pilot school now, I needed this video. I've been questioning my self if I could find ish this or even if I deserved too finish... Thank you yoh and everyone involved making this video. Simpler fi!
You got this God has you in the palm of his hand. Praise him in the small and large things each day and watch your life go from one miracle to another. You CANT LOSE
Congratulations to you both. Your race and fight are no less as remarkable as what Chadd accomplished! Keep fighting one more day and lean not on your own understanding. Lean on the Lord. If no one has ever shared the Gospel with you, I would like to take this opportunity to do that. The Apostle Paul's says in Roman's 3:23 all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. When we admit that it's step one Then when you hear the Gospel (1CORINTHIANS 15;1-4) the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and his shed blood, Paul tells us when we believe that in our heart, that the Holy Spirit seals us till the day of Redemption. Chadd, it's been a privilege to have been able to watch your journey man. To you and everyone involved, what an inspirational accomplishment! Bless you man. Thanks, helps a lot!
One of the most moving experiences for me just watching this. Motivates me to keep pushing through everything in life that tries to bring me down. Maybe more importantly helping others to get through their struggles and be there for them.
Chadd, this is super inspiring brother, thank you all so much for letting us see this amazing journey, I’m a 57 year old devil dog and watching your commitment and drive has pushed me to stay in the fight! You are helping a lot of people brother!!!
You have no idea how much I needed to see this. At 55 years old I just had a total heart block and had a pacemaker installed. I went from one minute being in Law Enforcement to wondering what my purpose is going to be now. This gives me inspiration to find what's next and to face it head on no matter what it is. To live life the best I can. I've taken too much for granted. Thanks Chad. I have a feeling that's why you did this. Not only to challenge yourself and find your purpose but to inspire those who have been knocked down a peg or two. Thank you and God bless you.
I'm 53, lost my purpose at 40. I'm still trying to find it again. Spent ten years in a forest trying to figure it out. There are no answers out there.....the only path is to keep going fwd. Be well brother.
Happened to me @42 (2012). After a stint as an Army Grunt during ODS/S. Earning my CIB was my proudest moment. Began working at a level 5 in 97. Got promoted to Sgt in 2010 (my second proudest). Had to have 2 back surgeries in 2011 that ended my career. As MEN, we struggle without a purpose. Still struggling with my purpose, but we homeschool my youngest and I focus on that and protecting my family. I said all that to tell you that I know your struggle. Things happen to us when it's time for the next phase of life. It'll reveal itself. Stay strong! JJ-South Alabama
I watched the premiere last night. Chadd makes me want to be better in every area of my life. I know I can always push harder and finish whatever task God puts before me.
I watched this episode from start to finish and let me tell u this guy is physical tuff and emotional tuff and if I had to choose one person I wish I was I definitely would pick this guy.thank u for our freedom.
I’ve been blessed in my life to have known a number of team guys and have found them to be among the most humble and solid and inspirational people I’ve come across. They truly are among the Best of Us. God Bless Them All. Both the Living and Those who’ve gone on to their Reward.
Unglaubliche Leistung, größter Respekt 🙏 Herzlichen Glückwunsch . Ein Mega Team , bin beeindruckt . Danke für dieses Tolle Video . Gruß Kurt aus Deutschland 🇩🇪
Awesome Job Chadd! I’m familiar with challenges as I’m 74, a ex Marine. I have ran a number of Marathons, 30 mile training runs, 1 day 200 bike rides, 1000 mile bike ride. I’m a archery Elk hunter but I’ve never done anything like that. That’s up there in the Ultra -Ultra Marathon stuff! I skip through a lot of much shorter video’s but you kept me interested though the whole thing! You have a level of toughness we mortals can only aspire to.
As a fellow combat vet who had been in a strange spot lately, I really needed to see this. Thank you for putting this together and thank you for showing your journey. You are truly inspirational. Thank you.
Incredible documentary! Such a great story line and very well structured. Hats off to Chadd for finishing the race, his team for helping make this happen and Macademic media for capturing it all!
I often push myself in ways others don't want to push themselves. I never understood where it came from but it's good to see guys and girls out there doing much more. Next time I find myself 10 miles into the mountains at sunset when it was supposed to be a chill afternoon at home, and question my decisions, I'll have your example to live up to and keep running. Loved the video, great work out there everybody. Hats off to Chadd.
Phenomenal video!!!! Experienced some very wired emotions. Thank you, Chad and team, for the sacrifice to teach about our one and only Jesus Christ!! God bless
Chadd is a great example of a role-model and leader to look up to. Excellent video, well executed both to the video-team, the service-team and Chadd himself of course. All of you are awesome.

Chadd, I just finished watching your 250 mile race in Arizona. I went to Bud/s myself in 1984. I was in class 135 and my brother went two years before me, he was class 126. His name is Todd Tinsley and I wonder if you ever ran into him. He retired after 37 years in the TEAMS. I don’t know how old you are, I just want to say that you are such an inspiration to an old man like me, I’m 60 years old now. The attitude I saw you having during the race after getting up after a 10 minute nap or a short break reminded me so much of Bud/s. I was in what they call a summer class, but it doesn’t matter because you get to experience every weather condition San Diego has to offer. You might start in the summer and finish in the winter or vice versa, but you get to experience all of the misery that Southern California has to offer. I just mainly want to say that I watch as many of your videos as I can and I really enjoy your content. Thank you very much, sir. Trent Tinsley
I really love how chadd makes u realize a man can be stronger with a “normal” body size and shape than what we’re expected to have.. like six pack men’s health cover of magazine body. Thor etc.
He talks about this in another video… He runs, does cardio all summer and then lifts and gets muscle all winter. Most long distance guys look like this.
Chad is harder than Christmas candy! Thank you 3 of 7 project. You guys are solely responsible for me entering the ultra marathon world, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! The quote at 32:48 is powerful.
Chadd and family, keep doing what you’re doing! You all have been called to inspire those willing to listen and learn in times like these. Thank you for putting God first in all you do.
Chadd is a true inspiration, keep the good content going and accomplishing your goals brother! Look at all the people who know about you stopping along the way to show you support. You're appreciated man, god bless.
Chadd you are a freaking beast brother. The support from your team is next to none. Your motivation is contagious and absolutely an inspiration to me and I am sure others as well. Great job to you and your team! God bless you all.
This was amazing to see his everyday friends tend and help up. Thats a beautiful thing to have right there. This was a great doc just started following after Patera rec him to watch.
This is one of the greatest inspirational documentaries. Congratulations Chad, team, and macademic media! It was great to watch a professional production of an outstanding achievement!
This is what life is all about. The push, the hurt, the pain, the love. This brother knows it. Great video buddy. Stick with that Chili character, he's a true one of a kind
Well done Chadd. You are awesome! I was in the Cocodona pack several hours behind you. I love watching your story and comparing it to where I was in the race. I hope to see you back in 2024, and I hope to share some miles with you.
Hats off to this incredible achievement. Congratulations. Also congratulations to the team. I was thrilled watching them. Very touching documentary. Made me think. Touched my heart and shed a tear. All down-to-earth, likeable and humorous people. This world needs people like that. Greetings from Switzerland from a Swiss Infantry Sergeant. Take care of yourselves. All the best.
Thank you Chadd for sharing. This is so very inspirational and what an accomplishment. Thank you for your service to our country and providing hope to others.
I have rarely commented. Thumbs up is usually the best anyone gets, but this one deserves a comment. One of your best videos for sure Hiller. Of course, that's my humble opinion......
Well done sir and thank you for sharing your amazing journey. You are a blessing to so many of us who hang on every one of your inspirational messages you share with us. I hope one day we will meet on the trail. God bless you and your ministry I hope we will one day meet on the trail. Much love from the other end of our beautiful state.

Well done Chadd. You are awesome! I was in the Cocodona pack several hours behind you. I love watching your story and comparing it to where I was in the race. I hope to see you back in 2024, and I hope to share some miles with you.
You are a king among men Chad .. a true warrior and a legend .. very inspiring to all of us .. thank you for your service 💯❤️

Epic achievement Chadd! And thank you to everyone who put this documentary together for the rest of us to share and understand what you went through.
