Sorry about your loss, the boxes are just a choice if you really wanna keep track on the blood line, but like you see on his video I left the rest of my birds loose in the loft because I like them all I know they are all good birds so it wont matter if I just put nest bowls anywhere in the loft. when they pair up on their I just write who is with who to know where they come from. ooh one more thing I don't inbreed.
hey Ethans loft i just want to say since your pairing up your birds with the food in there dont they eat the food on the ground with the poop. you should try the cup hanging outside the front just so that they get a better food feeding system... so that they wont get Coccidiosis and Respiratory... i paired up my birds like that once and my best hen got sick and i had to treat it for 7 days just to save it... well hey btw really nice on the loft looking good and nice birds

You are right but, in this case, I got birds loose in the same loft and they try to eat from the boxes. They make a mess so, for me, it is better that way and I clean it in the mornings, check it at lunch and clean it in the evenings again. To me, it looks like the first time breeders make a mess, more than the older birds. I have not had problems keeping the water and food clean. Thanks for your comment.
Etan I lost my coop due to hurricane sandy. Just gotta saw for thr holiday and ready to buikd again . Are breeding boxes necessary or just nestn boxes
