This song is such an amazing understanding of how we think, how we believe what we want, and then we disagree with ourselves. Forever is possible, but it isn't. Forever is only 1 more than never, but it's still unattainable. Amazing lyrics.

I know I say this a lot but your vocals are absolutely haunting. The stark simplicity of the music is such a perfect backdrop to the words. I have chills. Creatively; I picture a broken figure stumbling into an abandoned church to confront the one that has broken them. This is just absolute perfection.

With songs like this, we really try to focus everything on the lyrics and melody, then add music like seasoning. Gordan Ramsey says fresh, high-quality ingredients make the dish, adding too much is distracting. We take his advice because we're not donkeys.
