As an apple developer I must say this isn't open for common developers so far. It must be some collaboration between HID and Apple. I mean, you can find some workaround but it won't be that secure. Car keys API is already available though
So if someone walks off with your phone, they can get into anything they want, take your car, haha. You would think that they could lock it down such that unlocking your phone was required?
You could say the same about a traditional twist & turn key, key fob, car key or plastic key card, no? Also, a very strong argument could be made that having your key in Apple Wallet is far more secure than using any other key form (like the ones I listed above) because it can be deactivated/revoked remotely in real-time, from anywhere in the world AND users have the option to require Face ID verification for all locks or specific locks (i.e. file closet with sensitive materials).
Amazing
Looks great!
Amazing especially at BMW car
