I feel like Im the only one who interprets this song not as a sad song but as a song of trust. Interesting how a common theme exists in all of these comments. I shared it too. 58 years of failed relationships. Broken hearts. Truly thought it was a myth. Until a girl who was put into my life for a season that caused me to realize that I was going about it all wrong. I tried to love my partner too much only, and not Jesus enough. She turned me around and I began loving Jesus with all my heart. Our true country roots are God and Country. But as a man I sure missed it. She left my life as fast as she was placed into it. But left a huge impact on me. I then began praying for God to place His choice into my life instead of my life choice.
