  • In this video I am showing how to use Thevenin's theorem to construct a equivalent voltage source in order to determine the voltage across a non-linear element (LED). Firstly, the parameters of the Thevenin equivalent voltage source are determined from the linear part of the circuit, solely consisting out of a voltage source and resistors. After substituting the equivalent voltage source into the original circuit, a load line is used to determine the operating point (voltage and current) of a yellow LED.
