Yeah, Jonny - I located a lumberyard in Oregon that sells Port Orford Cedar, and after Biden is sworn in, I will get me some. That Port Orford Cedar flute must be your favorite!
@@JonnyLipford I get the distinct feeling, Jonny, that there are no ordinary flutes in your collection, that each one is extraordinary in one way or another.
Mr Lipford is their anything you cannot play ?I don't think so .You my man are a Great Musician. Just love the setting (I am a Florida boy) and you just killed it with that Marley tune. I have 4 of your CDs all great and I just ordered your flute book and sure hope you will be coming to Melbourne Florida in Nov.All the Best Jerry
Bob Marley is a true music legend! Love, love, love this!!!!! It's so happy and feel good....even for those that don't know who Bob Marley is(which is unacceptable in my book)!! You just have such a raw talent and I love everything you've done so far!
What a wonderful surprise...nice to see the naf being pushed to fun levels...keep surprising your audience, Jonny! Love the video as well....nothing like ocean and Marley!
I love it. The music and scenery combined is just awesome. Look forward to more. I don't play the flute but listening and seeing you makes me wish I had one. Thank you to you and the film crew.
I love the way you play this song buddy. I am crazy about this Legend Bob Marley and wud surely try to play this song soon. Thank you for sharing Jonny
Thanks for listening! A really fun song for sure. I have sheet music available for this. Give it a go! www.jonnylipfordmusic.com/products/three-little-birds-sheet-music-for-native-american-flute-pdf?_pos=1&_sid=70c1e3011&_ss=r
Love this and would like to play it - can it be done on a C flute and is there music available? The Native flute is beautiful but I don't have time to buy one a learn it right now. Thank you for making the recording
Yes! It can be played on a C minor flute or any other key. The original recording was done in F# minor. I do not have a backing track available for this but you can find them on karaoke websites and customize to the key you desire. Here is a link for the sheet music: www.jonnylipfordmusic.com/products/three-little-birds-sheet-music-for-native-american-flute-pdf?_pos=1&_sid=c88196884&_ss=r. Thank you for asking!
Is that your Port Orford Cedar F# flute, Johnny? I always marvel at its great tone. I believe that the original Bob Marley song uses a bluesy flatted seventh instead of the natural seventh that you played - at least that's how I would play it.
Until I do create something as you ask, here are a couple links that might do the job. Google is the parent company of UA-cam, so the best instruction right now is right here: support.google.com/youtubemusic/answer/9716522?hl=en, and support.google.com/youtube/answer/94316?hl=en
Sorry Mr.Jonny I mean would you please teaching how to play this song.I really like this song and very much like the way you playing this song. Thank you very much. Greeting from Thailand.
Hi Johnny ; am from iraq and am wanna to learn play n a flute like you am used play on Arabic ney but this instrument like to me when I can buy one . From amazon "?
Shia..This is not Jonny (but I have met him) and I am a flute player also. There are many good makers of this style of flute in the U.S. They are made in several keys. For a beginner I would recommend a flute in the key of Am, Gm or Cm. From Amazon the only flute I could maybe recommend are Jonah Thompson... www.amazon.com/Jonah-Thompson-Flutes/b/ref=bl_dp_s_web_7597121011?ie=UTF8&node=7597121011&field-lbr_brands_browse-bin=Jonah+Thompson+Flutes. Here are three more options for flutes directly from the crafters: www.butchhallflutes.com/index.php/flute-catalog.....highspirits.com/pages/great-flutes-for-first-time-players....www.woodsounds.com/class.php?t=c&id=9..... and there are many more good crafters out there. Too many to list here. Shipping International to Iraq might be an issue. I don't know. Best wishes to you.
I prefer 440hz as it's more in tune with other instruments in which I play with often. Playing a 432hz with modern instruments tuned to 440hz would result in my flute sounding flat and not in pitch with these other instruments.
@@JonnyLipford you have amazing talent and creativity!!! I play the native flute for a more meditative state (so I was joking about the sacrilege) I should have included a LOL. I love Bob Marley’s music. Speaks to the soul. Your interpretation is fantastic! Cheers

Yes, it sure is the Port Orford Cedar.
Mind blowing Jonny. I love the way you play the NAF. This flute is in the key of A right ?
Thank you! Actually, it is recorded in F# and high F#.

Muhteşem. uyanmaktan nefret ediyorum.:( Beni mahvetmeden uyandırabilecek bir alarm müziği ararken karşılaştım. Çok huzur verici. Bence yarın huzurla uyanacağım. umarım...
I'm sorry, I can't read your message. UA-cam does not have a translator.
Is this in A minor?
I recorded this with an F# minor flute.
U like 432 or 440

A bit sacrilegious… but you are forgiven
LOL! I would think that Bob would want his music to be for everyone. Thank you for watching!
