Amazing drivers, FWD, low weight, NA power, lowish power, says it all. Of course, some big bangers made up a slice of the field, but it goes to prove that small, light etc when well driven is a force to be reckoned with.
I think that's the reason I find hill climb series so attractive. They wouldn't be in the same group on track, but that's a different story in hill climb races. I love watching these screaming little machines.
Last Porsche "DP" - "Design Plastic" - a small Swedish factory that in the 1980s made the most powerful Porsche-based cars in the world. You could also order 935 body kits. I remember that the owners name was Josef Zirkelbach and the cars were extremly expensive, many were exported to the USA. Today the company is completely forgotten.
God bless these men and women. And I'm a militant atheist. They do the imaginary higher power's work and they do it so well. My life is so much better for them. Thank you. 😁😁
That's the meanest looking Ford Puma I've ever seen, holy hell. 720 HP out of that inline 4. And the aero makes it look flattened like a Gillet Vertigo.
that ford puma looks sweet, and that lancia is always a fav car of mine, and that porsche 935 is pretty unique looking in itself. only car i wish i'd see more of are some amg's i just love the sound of there v-8's
@@HillClimbMonsters yeah, but a freaking audi s1 ? A 458 challenge? Those are also groundup racecar with a lot more horsepower and downforce + rwd or awd. The driver in the laguna is amazing
@@thomaslegoff4069 Yes, André Wiebe is a fantastic driver (hopefully he comes back soon..) but the Laguna BTCC is also a tremendous machine and arguably the Fastest Touring Car of the 90´s insane BTCC era.
3:47 Wow that sound of V8 N/A! And its soo smooth. 5:01 Never seen this Ferrari Zytec very loong time! Still awesome! 5:32 Yeah old school BTCC Laguna, love it! And it surprise me soo mcuh how far on list it go with only 310Hp.
Maybe it's the understanding of aero and/or money available but these cars look like Micro Machines vs current hill climbers. Still beautiful cars and amazing drivers
Well, 8 years have passed and the "Power & Wings" war in HillClimb Racing rages on rampantly ;) Still pretty much all machines in this video would still be competitive today, and some of them still compete.
Das ist ja ein Witz wie langsam die da auf der gekehrten Straße rauffahren ihr müsst mal die Fahrt von Walter Röhrl zeigen den Pine speak hoch auf Sand so eine Fahrt wird es nie wieder geben

Muchas gracias 😅 ❤
The 935 all day.
Its hard to choose today, one of Ferraris or Laguna BTCC??
😅
The dude that did the quickest time didn't even seem to be pushing the limits. ..just smooth & restrained.... but deceptively fast🔥👍
Smooth is fast.. but yeah TwinTurbo Watercooled Porsches are the epytome of efortless speed..
@@HillClimbMonsters All that info about cars is epic. would be also cool to mention the transmission type if thats available. Is this porsche manual ?
I was wondering how the first BMW 's we saw got so light
@@johndoe-bu7vt in really no expert but with the speed of those shift im guessing either a sequantial or a PDK?
The 935 looked effortlessly quick 😑 some extremely good driving and a stunning car. All of them were incredible
Eight years ago HillClimb Racing was just as awesome ;)
But hell ugly to me.
Amazing drivers, FWD, low weight, NA power, lowish power, says it all. Of course, some big bangers made up a slice of the field, but it goes to prove that small, light etc when well driven is a force to be reckoned with.
The Berg-Cup recipe ;)

But boy were these 935 DP2 units proper weapons...
This was one of the best Top 15 compilations ever!! Crazy fast cars with fast drivers, all with very close times! 🙌
Up to us to beat it ;)
God bless these men and women. And I'm a militant atheist. They do the imaginary higher power's work and they do it so well. My life is so much better for them. Thank you. 😁😁
Rebel, non conformist atheist here 😂
Great isn’t it .
Wow!! Amazing video.
Lots of beautiful and fast machines.
Much appreciated!!
Trop beaux le laguna c est hyper rare dans voir en si bonnes prepa on adore ici ❤
You know this is gonna be good when the very 1st car is an Audi Quattro pikes peak!!
Always a good omen..hopefully the rest stood up to the expectation ;)
Oh boy, i have to watched this two times at a row😊 Cannot pick faforite, they all are
Ps, Big thanks for the video, superb❤
Gotta watch it a third time just to make sure 🤔😅
Absolutely awesome
Thanks!!
Wow there are some monsters here for sure. Based on sound...im REALLY lovin the Ferrari f355....fast and sounds like f1 cars of yesteryear!!!!
René Ruch´s machine will always be one of the best sounding HillClimb Monsters ever. One of the machines were sadder about being retired..
That's the meanest looking Ford Puma I've ever seen, holy hell. 720 HP out of that inline 4. And the aero makes it look flattened like a Gillet Vertigo.
So many Gems. Quattro S1, Corrado, Laguna BTCC and it has been so long since i've seen a Puma.
thats not a puma anymore but yeah, they are rare
@@Stance1988 Of course it isn't a Puma in the original sense. It just remembered i haven't see one on the road in many years
Keith Manning´s Puma was a proper weapon... maybe we have to dig up some old footage to make a single feature video...
That AUDI 80 B2 is sensational, reminds me of the SITUNE Escort RR 🎶
Certainly understeered like an Audi lol
And understeering a lot:)
Love the Laguna BTCC. You can tell that car has tons of pull on those front wheels. Honestly front wheel drive monsters are underrated.
The driver skills are most important, no matter what car he drives...
I like them all
Really good
Thanks!! ;)
My favourites the 935 and the Sport Quattro S1
that ford puma looks sweet, and that lancia is always a fav car of mine, and that porsche 935 is pretty unique looking in itself. only car i wish i'd see more of are some amg's i just love the sound of there v-8's
I think most of the amg's that have been in top10's have had the Judd V8 engine, which isnt an amg/mercedes engine.
@@datNERO17 true, now that i thiink about it, they have been pretty much all judds
Gotta check the last Short we posted then... ;)
Edit:That Aud S1on start with 850Hp beaten by hell understeering 1.4L Audi 80 is hilarious to me:):)
That 935 looks like a alien
The DP cars certainly were not easy to be mistaken for anything else...
So glad its coming back, can´t wait to travel 10 minutes and be there already! :D
To see a renault laguna faster than ferraris is a real pleasure
It´s a proper BTCC unit, as in William´s F1 tuned and all that... ;)

Little NA 1.4L quicker than S1 is crazy
Hans Peter Eller is a proper magician behind the wheel...
Maybe it's the understanding of aero and/or money available but these cars look like Micro Machines vs current hill climbers. Still beautiful cars and amazing drivers
Most likely aero. Throw on massive splitters, wings, canards, etc. Really it’s both lol
Well, 8 years have passed and the "Power & Wings" war in HillClimb Racing rages on rampantly ;) Still pretty much all machines in this video would still be competitive today, and some of them still compete.
Its about car setup and driver skill...
Ça change de la Laguna classique.
Celle là brûle la gomme.
Vroum!!
And then... the Zytec. 🥰
A Legend we miss dearly...
Buenas saludos desde Tenerife 🚥🏁🤜🤛bonitas máquinas 💯🚥🏁🚥🏁🚥🏁
The puma and the laguna were my favourites
Me gustan todos😅 pero el Audi Quatro S1 me encanta 🤤💪👍
Por supuesto ;)
The 996 GT3 is amazing just for being able to repair itself mid run... 😀
RENAULT LAGUNA BTCC !!!
I WANT THE SAME !!!
JC ANONYMOUS PATRIOTE FRANCE.
DE GAULLE ET FIER DE L'ÊTRE.
The 996 with the anti-egg paint on the headlights lmfao. Honestly the fried egg lights have aged well.
Porsche ❤️❤️❤️
What was with the paddle shift on the puma cosworth. Pretty sure they were on the wrong side
i was wondering also he upshifted on the left and downshifted on the right
That Renault is beautiful
I bet that lancia shaved 2 seconds off from that launch alone!
Is it posible to see Reto Meisel or Simone Faggioli in the European Hillclimb Championship soon? Thanks!!
Super
Thanks!
Why did the laguna have no rear bumper at 5.44 but did the rest of the race ?
Like under my supermarket 😂
Ai aquele 935!
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
355 Zytek for me
エンジン音がたまらんただこういうのお母さんに怒られるんだよね
а где ? peugeot 406 stw ???

Renault Laguna BTCC 310 hp pffff hold my beer).
BMW E36 790 kg?!
Wtf?
And built by a BMW M Test Driver ;)
I'm sorry, WHAT? A 4x4 Cosworth Puma?
Ok 🎉😂❤
