    Th is actually a difficult sound for me to do properly so I just use f because it's easy. English is my 2nd language.

    I'm really not a linguist, but isn't 'f-ing' is more of a norther (maybe middle) regions tendency and not London's? Though, accents do gradually flow into each other, so we could say he lives in a boundary region or northen London outskirts ;D

      Th-fronting (pronounced dental fricatives "th" as labio-dental fricatives "f/v") is a notable working-class London accent features (Cockney, and hence Estuary and Multicultural London English). However, as you said, it is also present in a few Northern English accents such as Yorkshire.

      naurr😭 imagine pronouncing "that as "fat" LMAOO

    • @mayorjoshua
      @mayorjoshua 2 роки тому +5

      @@akari7039 Actually, the "th" in "that" is voiced, so the fronted equivalent is "vat" (not "fat"), as "v" is a voiced consonant like the "th" in "that". "Thank" begins with a voiceless "th", therefore it's fronted version is "fank" as shown above.

      @@mayorjoshua lol didn't expect to have english lessons here thanks. But i was referring to the comment specifically saying that the pronunciations for "th" is "f" so i made a "joke" on it.
