I explained this concept to my protestant mother by using an analogy of a swimming pool in which a person is drowning , the life guard will throw the float/ring for the person to grab onto. Now after the event the swimmer who was in trouble can say that the ring saved his life even though the ultimate source of salvation was the lifeguard as it was him who threw the ring. The ring can do nothing by its own power but it needs to be thrown/sent by the lifeguard. Obviously the swimmer is representative of the sinner , the ring is a preacher/saint sent by the lifeguard who is Christ in this analogy.
Yeah, just like if I was sick, you happened to be where I was, and I needed to go see a doctor, and you brought me to the doctor, I was saved. The doctor saved me by doing medical procedure, you saved me by bringing me to the doctor. Jesus saved us by Him being on the cross, Mother Mary saved us by the act of obedient which brought forth our LORD and Savior, the saints saved us by keeping, maintaining and preaching the gospel to us. I just don't understand why Protestants could not understand this simple concept. Somehow, to Protestants, after the life of serving the LORD and serving people of the saints, when they pass away, they become demons, and our act of asking them to pray for us is that we "worshipping the demons". Their logic is really weird.
I really enjoy listening to you Sam and love learning. I am 42:00 open to learning but the only thing i dont understand is all of the scripture you are using is when they were alive and in active ministry here on earth, i dont see any example of anyone after going to be with the lord saving anyone, they were there actually physically ministering to people but now they are not? And why would we need to pray to anyone else when we go go straight to the father through the son or Holy spirit is making intercession for us 🙏

The Catholics and others want to control the true church of God by claiming they specifically are the church of God. And only through them can you receive the truth. Sam I'm a devout Catholic who prays the Rosary almost every day. I normally ask the Virgin Mary to pray for us not save us. Could you please comment on the difference between this.

Else Read Psalm 44 (probably is 45 for you)...she is at Jesus's right hand. After read Isaiah 66. Now read Luke chapter 11 then read Luke chapter 1. You will see how she plays a key role for us to not only model after but for bringing us to her Son. Praying her spouse, the Holy Spirit, softens and opens your heart! Love you!
