As a somewhat veteran lancelot player-these are the tips that has helped me through the years:
1. Be aware of marked and unmarked targets-which means having a maximum amount of battlefield awareness. You need to always keep tabs on which entities you haven't marked yet-including heroes, creeps, and minions within your immediate vicinity, which could all be used to dash for extra damage on his passive, or be used as a springboard towards or away from the enemy
2. Be aware that your damage window is very short in most situations, as is the same with most other assassins. That means that you should never overstay, especially if both your second skill and ult are on cooldown. While his basic attacks do hurt, in clashes, it's generally not worth it unless you managed to isolate your targets away from their tanks/supports. That means you better be sure whether you wanna commit to a kill, or flee away immediately instead.
3. Patience, have absolute patience-sometimes, the enemy lineup can easily counter dive heroes-or has heroes who can easily cc you to death-wait out their skills in teamfights(notable examples are Khufra's second, Eudora's second, Valir's second) before hopping in to secure their damage dealers. Noye that during your first skill-if you get cc'd during the dash it may not mark anyone and go on cooldown-regardless if you hit anyone or not. Keep this in mind

Maybe second step should've been
"Get trolls like Gusion and Floryn in opponent team" Honestly even fanny was bad without doing half of what Fanny players usually do. The beginning fanny kill was also due to the Fanny using all her energy on the small neutral creep instead of going for Lance or the red and then recalling in front of opponent, then walking walking then using 1st skill in the turret instead of using cable.
the opponent team is quite good compared to my teammates, my teammate always feed non stop like 1 out of 5 games i am winning, no matter how hard i carry my team i still lose even if i get manic or over 20 kills i still lose (based on true events) because sometimes their skill level is sooo low that in a11min game they can get 13 death like what the hell and it is not like 1 but 3 teammate having that i would say every single of my game would have at least someone with 10 death and the worst thing is that they keep stealing your jungle and dont protect the turrent, like the enemy reaching our inner turrent in less than 5 min of the game (this happen multiple times btw)
