Nice work bro looks great. Where'd you get the plant by the way, it adds a nice touch.
Have you thought about using govees neon rope strip? Or you could even use the gaming strip that lays down flatter they advertise for the front trim of a desk. Would save yourself the diffuser process I would imagine unless there is something to it. However, I will go the same route when I do this unless their coming soon matter releases are out in the near future. I love apples HomeKit ecosystem ever since I switched from Alexa and having a dashboard to control everything from an iPad I mounted on the wall
Ridiculously easy for people who have done this kind of thing before
Another really cool tutorial! 😎
It does come across in the video that the middle strip did look more pink/purple than the bottom strip when displaying white after you upgraded it.
Looks great!
Wow
Thank you so much
Aiyo so good. Classy as always
You don't miss!!
Very cool!! Great Vid Chris!!😉
Nice work 👏🏼 👌🏽
Nice tutorial!
Regarding the 45 cuts. I have the same Ryobi mitre saw. If you set it to 45, partly lock it, and give it a slight nudge then lock.
Ideally you should have 44.5 degrees. The (combined) 1 degree is covered by the joint. In worst case scenario, if you do get to much light bleed, you could always solder it from the inside. Just melt some tin and let it run into the opening.
qq... Would I need a specific blade type or would the one that comes with Ryobi be OK to cut the diffusers?
@rogerbenjamin3396 I use Ryobi blades, and it works fine.
You could get one with finer teeth, to prevent tear outs.... or you could use a wide maskingtape over the cut area.
Another fantastic video, Chris! You probably tired of me asking, but floating shelves project, please?
Thanks for the great video. I have displate metal posters and I'm trying to figure out how to add govee voice controlled light behind them. I don't know if this is a project you have undertaken, but if so I'd love to see it. Appreciate all the inspirational videos you've already made. Please keep up the great work.
Chris, can you please make a Govee M1 strip to WLED controller setup? Or suggest a light strip that has 24v and RGBW that's compatible with the WLED controller?
can you make a video about the govee rope light for desk and show a way how you can easilly make your own one.
Bro u just literally helped me with this. Lol I am working on my project and I was just getting ready to do the lights. Maybe u can help me with an idea of how to run them perfectly?
Great video and content as always. Can I ask where I can get the tv wallpaper?
Bro that room is dope
Very nice men 😎👌
Hello, I have a question, how do you connect the last piece of led strip to the plug? if that piece of led strip ends without connection, since it is cut
Whats the advantage using Govee vs doing a ESP8266 chip and getting lighting from BTF-Lighting. Is this your preferred setup? If so / if not, why. Cheaper? Easier? I need to add some more, currently all mine are ESP8266 and BTF lighting.
Cool picture on your UST projector screen! Where did you get it? What is the name of it?
Hi Chris. Loving the new look. How do you find the Govee controller and lights compared to all your other ESP32 / WS1812 installs.
Which one will give me a better effect for a room in doing them around the room top of the wall. Will the 1 meter or 2 meter version be better???
Well done. Great info as usual.
hey chris....do you have any recommendations other than muzata? i cant get them here in germany and everything else i found on amazon while searching on my own was just the standard flat or angled stuff with not much spacing inbetween...(hotspots bs)
Yeah same issue here In sweden. Good diffusers are really hard to find here. Really envious of those Muzata diffusers 😂
@@user-ot8xn9dh6m cant find those with rgb...guess its a different system
@@spacefootballer😂 same here in the uk
@Chris Maher Please can you answer me ,,, can i cut govee rope ? I don't need the rest of the cut's, just cutting
and does that effect the dream view sections ?
Muzata diffusers are always out of stock on Amazon, do you have any equally good alternatives to suggest?
Thanks!
Nice
Where can I get that long white coffee table from?
I'm a bit confused here. Let say when you buy the strip. You get one controller? How did you get extra controller? Can you share link you buy it.? You can just cut any led light strip then reattach to another Controller so then it work again?
Was this all running off a single power block or did you use two power blocks?
Can it be controller by a normal wall switch button ?
What’s the difference really between the 1 meter and 2 meter version I’m trying to debate on which one to get please help
what is difference between m1 with matter and without?
Hi chris, where do you download your backround music?
Where do you get all your awesome wallpaper?
Where do you get your channels from?
Easy LED Strip Install *proceeds to use a machine I've never seen in my life*
jokes aside it's a great video keep it up!
Thank you Chris.
what is my Best option to run 20m. My room is 20m all the way round and want to run LED all the way but M1 etc only comes in 5M lengths
Do you think this is a better option than wled?
Where do you get your screen savers?!?! Those are 🔥
I am here for this as well.
I don't even have to start watching the view for me to give it a like, because I know it's gonna be good and give me ideas for MY man cave hehehehe
Govee m1 rgbic 50 segmented zones, m1 rgbicw 20 segmented zones... which is better? Everyone says the rgbicw is best due to dedicated whites but is losing 50% of your segmented zones a smart idea? Doesn't that limit the colors in your scenes?
can you make or link a video on how you make perfect 90 angles?
and how you make perfect 90s on the wall too, in other videos
Can you solder the end to another m1 strip? I have some that are left over from a previous project.
@clayparker3695-did you figure out a way?
Hello, I have a question, how do you connect the last piece of led strip to the plug? if that piece of led strip ends without connection, since it is cut. please help me out
Did u figure out the solution?
What’s that projector ???
I had a big issue with Govee desktop app they can see what you do on your pc when installing I highly not recomend to use the desktop app found over 50 dll hacking tracing and scanning data
I need three Strips with three controlers, is very Expensive
How come you didn't have to solder anything in this video? Is every separate strip (all 3 of them) connected to a power outlet at the very right? It seems to go against your "Govee M1 cutting / reconnecting" video.
I noticed the color was different with the white towards the very end, why? You use Govee M1 for the entire thing, no? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Yup for this one I have 3 controllers all plugged in a power strip behind the media console. For sure could have cut and soldered but I realize only a small percentage of people would actually be willing to go through the extra work so wanted to make this setup as simple as possible. The middle m1 and the top m1 are still using the old whites. The bottom m1 strip I did update and had the updated version of the whites which is noticeably better. Thanks for watching!
@@ChrisMaherDIY Thanks for the quick response and taking the time to explain! 💙
Perhaps i didn’t watch the video closely but how exactly did you stick the profile lights on to the wall without drilling them in place?
With removeable tape
2:53 skipped some extra after the ad i see
3m adhesive tabs
i just baught a house and i cant wait to set up my den from watching your channel
You should really preface that you purchased 3 of these for 3 controllers to achieve this look. Most people would think you could do this with one controller
8:19 God bless you and your household, brother
Diffusors not in stock 😢😮
Did you say easy?
U got a laser tv? I'm jealous as f$#@
Govee M1 cost like 100€ per strip here. Ridiculous
Bro how the hell do you power them , no that you have cut them apart
Lazy man's way , with lots of money not cheap that for sure, in Canada anyways.
these lights are ridiculously over priced. ill stick to my 2812 leds and esp32 with wledsr. thanks for another upload.
