Thank you so much Diane! I love your videos and have learned to make doll shoes by watching and listening to your instructions and tips. It is wonderful to learn that I am not alone in my love of dolls and thrift shops. Carole Valenzuela
I love the pumps! SOO cute! I love your tutorials I've learned so much and like the fact that you explain the mistakes you've encountered and what we should do instead ;) That saves me alot of time, as I probably would have made the same mistakes lol
Instead of that tubular vinyl gasket, you can use Tub and Wall siliconized Caulkstrip. Some strips are about 1" wide with a indention line right down the center. You can cut it down that line and use that around the soles.
Thanks. It's still for sale. I've pretty much given up for this year. The good news is now I can go to the Houston Quilt show again in Nov. Maybe we'll have better luck next year. We almost had a buyer but they couldn't qualify for a home loan.
I'm looking forward to this series. I just started sewing clothes fr my granddaughters American girl doll and she need new shes! Thanks so much for sharing your talents!
Thank you Diane..have resent email and went through this time. I had copied and pasted so not sure what happened first time. Looking forward to receiving your patterns. :-)
Hi Diane...are there more videos in this series? I can't find them for some reason!! Your work is simply amazing!! Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us a new art!! I am loving making doll clothes and I can't wait to start making shoes! I'm a little nervous but I am listening to all of your tips and writing everything down! Thank you again! Blessings, Jennifer :)
+Mike Jennifer There were 10 videos in the series but I violated some copyright because I mentioned brand names and trademarks. I stepped on somebodies toes and they complained. That's usually the only reason they remove videos. Unfortunately, I never backed them up or saved a copy. There was a lot of work and time involved in making those videos. I'll see if I can remake them this winter.
+Diane Morello oh how awful! I'm so sorry that happened! Your videos are awesome Diane and I appreciate sooo much what you're doing for us. I've looked and looked and there is not a lot out there on making doll shoes. People don't want to share their techniques for fear of someone "stealing" their ideas I guess! I plan on teaching my daughters and my little grand daughter how to make clothes and shoes once I get the shoe part down! If we never shared our gifts with others, then how can they possibly develop theirs? Thank you again Diane! Looking forward to more videos!! Blessings!! Jennifer :)
have you ever tried using empty shampoo or conditioner or laundry soap bottles for the shoes of the shoes ----I used some plastic shopping bags and fusing them together and made a sheet of plastic and made some purses out of it ---as long as it doesn't get to many layers it sews on the machine just fine ---Love your patterns and really want a copy of them ---Please --Thank you
put 2 sheets of plastic bags between 2 pieces of parchment paper and use your iron --the parchment protects the iron and iron board ---don't hold the iron to long as it will melt --just enough to fuse --my first attempt melted -LOL
Diane Morello Hi again ---bubble wrap can also be fused --and those white vinyl postal bags can also be fused ---the inside of those are black or gray and sometimes silver --have also used them too ---would you like to see the purses I made from fused plastic bags ??
Thanks for the nice comment. I don't sell them but if you look on Etsy and do a search on 18" doll shoes, you'll find a bunch of sellers. Last time I looked there were over 75 pages of shoes. Very nice ones too.
I know I am way behind on these videos but I am just starting out with doll clothes. Your videos are wonderful and sew is your doll clothes of course! Quick question, how long have you been making doll clothes and do you have a shop where you sell your wonderful creations?
Thanks for the nice comment. I've been making clothes about 6 years now. I don't make things to sell. I just do the videos for fun. Etsy has lots of doll clothes sellers that make beautiful things for sale. Even if you don't buy anything it's fun to see all the creations. Pinterest is another place to see so many dolls and dolls clothes.
Hi Diane! I have a ruffler attachment presser foot from singer, do you or anyone know if it will work on this sewing machine? need to use it for my tiny doll dresses.
Hello Diane. I tried to send you an email to ask for doll shoe patterns. It was undeliverable. Are you still making these patterns available. I would love some as i have been studying your turtorials and think they would help me immensely with my dolls.
Yes, I'm still sending them out. You might have just made a typo in the address line. It's doll shoe patterns. Some people type in doll shoe pattern without the "s". Try again to see if it goes through or you can send me a personal message on youtube with your email address and I'll send them to you. "dollshoepatterns@yahoo.com"
They are posted under "Diane Morello" on Pinterest or you can send me an email to dollshoepatterns@yahoo.com and I can send them to do. They're free. I don't anything.
Thank you! Just love it :) Would it be possible to make shoes for Crissy and Co? I am in Germany and if I buy them shoes on ebay I sometimes think I should first robb a bank to pay the shipping costs ^^
Debbie Segovia Joanns carries it. It's called marine vinyl and runs about $17.99 yd. but you can get as little as 1/8 of yard cuts. Most large fabric stores carry it. It can buy it online but a lot of places require a minimum cut of at least 1 to 2 yards. You will usually find vinyl on rolls in the back of the store or along the wall.
Thank you for such a nice comment. If you would like any of these patterns, just send me an email to dollshoepatterns@yahoo.com. I don't charge anyone for them. I send them out in a pdf. format that most people can just click on and they open up.

Where can I get the patterns for the vinyl shoes? I love your ideas and decided to join in.
Hi Diane! I have a ruffler attachment presser foot from singer, do you or anyone know if it will work on this sewing machine? need to use it for my tiny doll dresses.
+Ana I researched the singer rufflers online they look just like mine. The only ones I saw were low shank versions so it should work just fine.
Thank you again Diane for always having the time to write back and help! Happy Sunday :) , big hug!

Well you just answered my questions.
can you tell me where to buy the vinyl?
Debbie Segovia Joanns carries it. It's called marine vinyl and runs about $17.99 yd. but you can get as little as 1/8 of yard cuts. Most large fabric stores carry it. It can buy it online but a lot of places require a minimum cut of at least 1 to 2 yards. You will usually find vinyl on rolls in the back of the store or along the wall.
Do you sell the shoes you make or are they for your own use?
