Great review as always, I’m curious for your review on the FiiO FT1 Pro set. It’s a planar magnetic set that has been getting a lot of good buzz lately. It retails for $200.
Fiio has been crushing it in the headphone segment. I have the jt1, ft1 and ft3 350ohm. JT1 is pretty fun for $70, but once the ft1 came out it got shelved.
I still use my Yamaha HP-2s the original "planar magnetic" headphone, a technology that used to be called orthodynamic. I still consider them among the lowest coloration phones I've heard. While the best of today's planar magnetic and electrostatic phones are more transparent overall the HP-2s are clear and detailed by dynamic phone standards and their midrange neutrality is still unsurpassed.

I'm a low budget "audiophile". I already have the FiiO FT1 and it's awesome. My next buy is the FT1 Pro, which will be my 1st planar headphone.
