My uncle owned a tire shop in Guadalajara and every once in awhile the cartel would come and tell him that he had to close for the day. Other than that they did not involve themselves in the business of civilians as long as the civilians did not involve themselves in cartel business. A big mistake that a lot of people make is that they try to be overly friendly with a certain cartel, possibly to feel safe but not realizing that they lifespan of a cartel member is not very long, and every war has civilian casualties
I highly doubt that considering they operate similarly to Italian American mafia with extortion and will often slyly threaten local businesses into paying them protection money.

I live in the Rio Grande Valley, born and raised. This type of stuff is literally a daily thing but never see it on the news. Living in a border city for example, Mcallen Tx, Brownsville Tx, everywhere in the southern tip of Texas, is the norm for us. All of this shit happens in our backyards you just never hear about it.
God bless you, your family, and Mexico. It’s not just a Mexican problem, it’s a North American one and it’s important that us up north try to learn and understand what’s going on.
People are stupid if they think cartels don't do hits on people in the US. Huntsville Alabama a grandmother and her granddaughter were killed by cartel hit. Those guys sawed off the young girls head . You can Google it and see for yourself.
I go to Tijuana fairly often for tattoos, medicine, and to visit family, and the only people I’ve known that have been killed were involved in some kind of illegal activities and or in super sketchy areas, I.e, rural/deserted places. Police harassment for bribes are much more of a problem imo
I counted 4x in that one litte bit of this clip where he mentions giant mule deer in mexico (all mentions in a row), each time like its totally new information.
They weren't down there for cosmetic surgery. They all had been arrested several times for drug distribution. She went down there looking for a connect and shit went sideways.
I live in San Diego, and went down to Mexico with a buddy who was getting quality yet cheap dental work done. While he was in the dentist, I was walking around, right as it was getting dark. I walked around the corner and there was a human head on The top of the stop sign, eyes open, with blood still leaking from where it was cut off… I had never seen anything so gruesome in my life. Apparently it happened over cartel territory.
PSA: Matamoros and The USA had travel restrictions to Matamoros in Tamaulipas because of the violence and conflicts going on there. On top of that, if you were in the town that day, they had warnings and restrictions to stay inside because of the conflicts. Also, Tamaulipas and the CDG (Cartel Del Golfo) is having conflicts with Haitian Immigrants right now who are settling there because they can’t make it into the states. Those Haitian Immigrants are creating criminal groups to stand up against CDG and only a couple days before the incident, the Haitian immigrants killed a few CDG members so the CDG was out for blood with anyone who resembled the Haitian Immigrants. The Anericans who drove there happened to look Haitian on a day and at a time they knew they weren’t supposed to be out in the city. They also got scared and tried to drive away during a conflict when that is not what you are supposed to do so that’s why they got shot at and kidnapped for questioning. None of this makes it ok for what the CDG did but at the same time, I don’t believe those Americans came from North Carolina for some medical work even though many do go to Mexico for Dental Work and Plastic Surgery and Medicine. I believe it was 3 men and 1 women and the reports say they were traveling for the female to get some medical procedure but if you look at the pictures and video, I highly doubt she was there for that. Don’t go to Mexico, ignore the travel restrictions and think you can just do what you want or go for other reasons and not run into some issues.
I think what's even more wild, is the fact that the cartel only apologized so our military wouldn't get on their head and that a written apology is ALL THAT IT TOOK to keep us at bay and to not do anything.., it's disgusting. "Yeah you killed two of our civilians and kidnapped two more, but you said sorry so it's all good guys!!!" Fuckin crazy, disgusting world we live in

That's not the reason the US military didn't go into Mexico. The Mexican government will never let the US military into their territory and the US can't just go on their own. Mexico is a sovereign nation, the US military can't intervene without permission from the Mexican president and he has been very clear recently that he will never let the US military inside Mexican territory.

Mexicans are killing Mexicans all the time. It is not that often than American citizens are killed in Mexico which is why it gets more attention especially by American media.
In reference to the kidnapped Americans, Mexican media released more details about them: The group traveled from North Carolina to California, then on to East Texas and finally across the border. All of the kidnapping Victims have arrest records, which consist of drug possession & drug sales. They were not strangers to the area because they had visited the area before. This may not have been mentioned in the U.S. media since "race" is a sensitive politically correct factor of everyday life. I do not condone what happened and pray for the two who were killed and their families.
Yeah , its a pretty Hard theme , i saw some videos of the kidnapeds with Guns and bags of Coke in randy streets at pretty late hours, in México the racial factor isnt such a thing we are mostly brown all of us haha
That's nuts, didn't know that. Media always makes it out for these victims to be innocent angels. Not saying they deserved what happened to them but low-key it's probably karma
You have to keep in mind, that the reason the Cartel leaders don't want to scare off tourists, is that they own a lot of the resorts in Mexico right now.
Exactly any 1 who believes that those 4 Americans who went to get plastic surgery is a fool the simple fact that she went with 3 other guys and a big ass van is to bring back stuff 😂

@P A Ever been to Cozumel? Same 💩 happened to me over there, they see Americans and automaticly think we all do drugs. And they got pissed when I said no.
Just came back from tulum a few weeks ago. One of the main source of income for the cartels is tourism. They turned those members in because they aren’t trying to mess that revenue up by scaring Americans from visiting. As long as you’re nice and mind your business you should be pretty safe.
Those people were probably down there buying drugs and were expected. I’m not buying the alibi at all. They lit up that cat in the middle of the street with American plates on it. They knew
I was just in Tulum and Rivera Maya a few weeks ago also and no resorts there are owned by cartels lol I guess the hard rock I stayed at was "cartel" owned. Pendejo wei
My grandpa owned a small mom and pop grocery store when I was growing up in the 80's. His parents were straight from Mexico, immigrants to the US, and therefore he spoke fluent Spanish and his grocery primarily served the Hispanic community. I'll never forget that he had for sale these periodicals (as well as the La Opinion newspaper) that showed the most brutally graphic photos of dead people, like shit you would see on shock sites today. Maybe some of you from Mexico would know what these periodicals or pamphlets were named, but I cannot remember. I did quick research on this while I was writing this comment, and it appears the magazine was probably "¡Alarma!".
We used to sell those too. I used to read them like nothing. Now as a grown up i cant believe they had them. I also read that they would give a story to a random picture of mugshots of detainees. 😂

The whole venture is to make money and avoid the justice system/police getting into their business. When someone does something to screw that up it makes sense they would do something about it to correct it. They have police and government officials on payroll and they don’t want the heat of federal officials coming down on them in their local dealings.

*Cartels are not to be messed with. Some years ago, if my memory serves me right, I remember some guy or guys who stole from the cartel. Not sure if it was money or drugs or both. Well these geniuses thought that by coming to the U.S. and hiding out here that they could get away. Not so. The cartel somehow found them in Atlanta and they whacked them and everyone else in that apartment. I think it was a total of four people but only two were found to have links to them. I tried finding the story but could not. Probably archived somewhere.*
There was this one reporter who flew in from Spain to interview Sinaloa Cartel members and do a documentary about it. Once he was at the hotel, a car pulled up and they called him telling him to come downstairs with no cameras or microphones. They told him they have people all over the world. If he uses any of the footage for another reason other than interviews and a documentary, they would have him murdered. He came back to the hotel room visibly scared. He did the documentary and later he went to an African country where rebels killed him for who knows what reason. That guy had balls to go and interview the hardest criminals..

When I lived in Texas going to Matamoros for spring break used to be the place to go in the late 80s early 90s. Stopped in going in 89 when a UT student was abducted tortured and sodomized and then murdered in a human sacrifice ritual.
@Goofy Foot this sounds incredibly stupid now, but in 93 I went back with my girlfriend and we ended up staying in one of the back alley motels. I should have gotten the hint from the "concierge" that we were in the wrong place and should get back across the border before dark
This is a very famous case. The American Huy was named Mark Kilroy, and he hot killed by a band known as NarcoSatanicos. Eventually the whole band got gunned down in a shootout in México City.
I was born here in the US but go to Mexico 2-3 times a year since my whole family are from there. I have 0 problems because I mind my own business. And whoever stole from the American Tourists was never seen again. Without American money cartels would have no business. A cartel is an organized business, money matters , not hurting Americans.

It's so bad that they kidnap their own people. My husband's family paid thousands of dollars for the return of his uncle only for the cartel to take everything he had. Car, farm equipment, livestock, land all gone. Then threatened and forced to leave his hometown.
Most likely a family member or family friends that do that. They know your info n kidnapp to get money. Cartels make way way more money with legitimate business where they wash drug money. Make no sense to kidnapp regular folk. Just saying. Most cases I seen turns out it was a family member that did it.
My family is from northern Mexico, and for as long as they can remember, they’ve been lucky enough to not come into contact with cartel violence. Only in the past 4-5 years has the bloodshed and crime reached their neck of the woods. It’s getting really bad..
I’ll always remember this one story, I was younger and remember seeing it on the news and then talking about it in school. There was a this family in Mexico, I don’t remember what part, but they were driving and pulled over and both parents got out and while they were doing whatever the car was stolen with there son still in the back seat. Well later on the car was found, I don’t remember if it actually got across the border or got stopped at the border, but the boy was still in the back seat siting up with seat belt on. But he wasn’t responding and when they got into the car they found the kid was gutted and had drugs stuffed inside of him. I’ll see if I can find the news article and paste it as a response.

True fact about the gun part and going to Mexico with it. I live roughly an hour away from the border and whenever I cross the border by walking, I would casually walk through to Mexico and they NEVER check you unless you're carrying a backpack or purse. Literally, I crossed over a dozen times and I NEVER talked to anyone when I get through to Mexico. I could literally have 4 pistols, a shotgun in my pants and they wouldn't even know. Thats how easy it is to carry weapons over the Mexico. Same thing with crossing to the U.S. They don't check you either, you could literally conceal carry and they wouldn't know. Edit: Don't carry guns though, if they catch you with it, you will be in prison for 6+ months easy. I don't.
Not true everyone coming back to freedom is checked thoroughly an would not recommend getting caught down there esp not knowing anyone or have an attorney ✌️

I'm a dual citizen, born and raised in southern Sonora, right next to Chihuahua and Sinaloa. I love living in Mexico. It's no doubt third world, but life can be more enjoyable there for sure. If you know the right people and conduct yourself correctly, it's very enjoyable and pretty safe. We have tons of Americans and plenty of Europeans that absolutely love living in my colonial hometown of Álamos.
As an American it's sad to see things like this happen but at the same time they killed and dumped those people in the street with an apology. It just goes to show that while they may be ravenous and extreme there is discipline and respect up the chain of command.(wether it's to guarantee good relationships or not). It's not really much different than when we have bad cops here kill innocent people. They basically just said hey we know this was wrong but they were acting out of line and they know better so we're showing that we don't operate that way by getting rid of the problem. Like Joe said as weird as it sounds we don't need anymore fights and I think it should be squashed where it sits.

I had beachfront property down there, 2000 meters of private beach. A captain of the Federales bought the property next to me. It was fine for the first couple years until his sons started getting involved with the cartels. I had seen their whole transition and they were very open about it to me. But...they knew too much about me and I knew sooner or later I would either be asked to do a favor for one of them or I would be scoped out by one of the many new "friends" showing up in new Ford 4x4s and looking like their new clothes were purchased that day. I saw an incident where one of the sons and a couple of his friends took off on the Jeep trail that went out into no mans land , one way in, one way out. 6 guys went on the adventure and only 4 guys returned. I had a nosy girlfriend at the time who asked the mama where they were going, new trucks, no girlfriends and no camping gear. Mama got real quiet and looked at me with a pleading look. I changed the subject quickly. We actually cut the trip short and packed to go home THAT NIGHT. I never went back, ok left a lot of cool stuff on the property when I sold it the next year. I'm glad I knew enough about that biz to understand what was happening, but sad that I knew enough and had enough to be helpful to that biz. I often wonder how nice that property could have been but not for long. I'm still alive and had great times when the country was safe, cheap and a real paradise...now I go elsewhere and cry about the good ole days.
Mexico is our 2nd or 3rd largest trade partner. They have a higher skilled labor force than China and much of that manufacturing has moved to Mexico, severely hurting China.

The cartels would still exist if drugs were legal. Cartels have operations going to Europe as well. Human trafficking is another lucrative money maker for them. Additionally, they would still produce and sell drugs if they were legalized.
Being Mexican and growing up in a bordertown they were not there for cosmetic procedure first of all if you are going for a procedure as a women you aren’t going to take 3 men to help you during recovery. Second the cartel don’t do stuff like that to innocent people. The letter is basically saying these guys(the cartel members) acted out of rules.. my best conclusion is one of them had an altercation or some sort of disagreement w the Americans at a restaurant or maybe even on the street one if the Americans pissed them off for whatever reason and tried to take matters into their own hands and acted without permission from higher ups. Hence why the higher ups got mad/upset and turned them in.

That women was also arrested because her daughter was found with meth and fentanyl in her system. The guys all have drug charges as well.

Not a JRE clip without joe talking about hunting 😂
He’s trying to assimilate with him or get him to lead the conversation instead of having him say “it’s crazy man”
Hunting/elk, psychedelics, or "RAAAAAWRR" at least once an EP lol.
My dude said, wow, that's crazy for 8 minutes
Luke Combs is just listening to his drunk uncle at the camp fire
Hahahhahahhahajajajahhahahaha I do this all time time with my uncle
Sad part is that the cartel didn’t send the actual people who did the kidnapping the cartel took civilians and just said hey you should believe us we wouldn’t lie smh 🤦🏽♂️
Exactly. Since when does the cartel turn in their own. When they could easily just kill them. Very strange events.
It's easier to fool a person than to convince them that they have been fooled
met an enforcer one of the nicest people but that teardrop shows all i need to know
True fact about the gun part and going to Mexico with it.
I don't.
Shotgun🤣
So I can walk back with 4000$ worth of oxycodone and Xanax and they’ll just let me go right thru
Not true everyone coming back to freedom is checked thoroughly an would not recommend getting caught down there esp not knowing anyone or have an attorney ✌️
Yeah you are just blatantly full of crap. They check tf out of people coming back to the US 😂 stop lying
Arresting El Chapo has caused a power struggle between all the cartels creating way more violence that there was. There used to order to the chaos.
I hear the Colombians hate them and hate having to push it through there because before 9/11 they would mainly ship it by planes and ships but after they had to use lesser methods through Mexico and we see how there all fighting over the same coke and they are losing a lot more
@@harrymothowl8923100%
El Chapo was never the main leader. I thought so too, but if you do some more research the cartel gave him up.
There has been a power struggle for decades. People need quit getting all their information from Ed Calderon.

Why isn’t this on Spotify!?
I'm a dual citizen, born and raised in southern Sonora, right next to Chihuahua and Sinaloa. I love living in Mexico. It's no doubt third world, but life can be more enjoyable there for sure. If you know the right people and conduct yourself correctly, it's very enjoyable and pretty safe. We have tons of Americans and plenty of Europeans that absolutely love living in my colonial hometown of Álamos.
I bet you're a cartel member trying to lure Americans to Mexico so you can kidnap them for ransom money.
You're a dual citizen yet use the insulting word "third world" invented by colonists and bigots🤡
Álamos is a very good place for what i read, the other cities not so much
Great guest 👍
Red had added nothing
You wouldn’t had added shit either so stfu

As an American it's sad to see things like this happen but at the same time they killed and dumped those people in the street with an apology. It just goes to show that while they may be ravenous and extreme there is discipline and respect up the chain of command.(wether it's to guarantee good relationships or not). It's not really much different than when we have bad cops here kill innocent people. They basically just said hey we know this was wrong but they were acting out of line and they know better so we're showing that we don't operate that way by getting rid of the problem. Like Joe said as weird as it sounds we don't need anymore fights and I think it should be squashed where it sits.
Don’t be naive, they only care about revenue. They want Americans to continue going to Mexico for drugs and prostitution.
They're only as dangerous as you let them be
They weren't there for surgery they were ducking over for a fix. Why else would they leave their friend saying they'll be back in 15min. What surgery can you get in 15 minutes.😂
Why would the cartel kill somebody trying to buy drugs? That doesn’t make any fucking sense
Maybe they stopped to buy food or something from a store real quick
@@bane8305 Didn't realise Mexico was that good with their food, must be worth crossing a border for.
Going to Mexico for medical procedures is crazy. Especially for unnecessary medical procedures..
You're not supposed to drink the water but hey, the medial care is probably okay............
You exactly believe they went there for a medical procedure. You sheep believe everything the media tells you dont you. They were there for drugs, did something stupid, and got killed. Just look at their records. They were felons.
Facts
Mexico has great doctors actually.... I go down there for dental work and they fixed something that an american dentist fucked up..... and that water comment.... really? you cant even drink the water in flint in the worlds richest nation how is that not worse? haha.
Damn, joe. That's crazy.
@@hotbreaded the medical treatment definitely is not better than the US but about prices and prescription drug laws i agree with you.
Mama got real quiet
and looked at me with a pleading look.
Smart that you left immediately
That’s crazy stuff man
I still find it so crazy that the cartels killed the men who carried out the kidnapping and killing and also released an apology letter. That's wild
Nothing a few nukes could solve.
Start wr the most courption is USA 🇺🇸
Mexico is our 2nd or 3rd largest trade partner. They have a higher skilled labor force than China and much of that manufacturing has moved to Mexico, severely hurting China.
Couldn't
oh god we got another outside the box thinker
You need to stop that mentality China and russia have just as much fire power as the U.S you are only told that the US has the best Weaponry to keep you From not Panicking, You think as soon as the US Does that No other country Would intervene? Smh to The Red Neck Mentality 😂
Bring back Ed. He has very interesting stories and experiences to share.
0:19 Riding a Grizzly Bear’s back 🤦🏻♂️😂😂😂 highly doubt that 💀🤣🤣
The cartels would still exist if drugs were legal. Cartels have operations going to Europe as well. Human trafficking is another lucrative money maker for them. Additionally, they would still produce and sell drugs if they were legalized.
Joe "from ridin' a grizzly bear's back to packin' out cocaine with mules" Rogan
*a woman
A cartel killed a whole family of mormans. Shot up the van. Cartels go to families houses and forcefully hire the sons to do the jobs and if they don’t. They die.
@@marcelinoaccountant158 as a mexican 2 of the things that we find more disgusting its when someting happen to a girl and when they basically kidnap Kids to make them hitmans saying thats the only way ur mamá and hermana keep their lifes... like cmon they are Just kids
Has anyone looked at the criminal records of those 4 people kidnapped? Perhaps it was not just a tummy tuck going on
Still don’t make it right !!
All criminals that went down to Mexico for drugs. Deal went south and people got smoked. That's the whole story
@MR HIPHOP VEGAN yea it does
And the American media and government is playing dumb. I’m not buying that alibi either. 5 people from a southern hood driving 30+ hours one way and then turning around and driving 30 hours back after a serious surgery? Who does that? Did anyone confirm the appointment and doctor she was supposed to go to?
@strafer man your right.
