Kudos to all of the gents who submitted their photos. It takes a certain level of comfortability and self-confidence to subject yourself to a publicly viewed analysis.
LEGEND. I grew up near and visit the beach often, but the backgrounds in these photos were AI. The shirt in the first photo was mint green linen, not white. The second photo’s shoes were AE chili penny loafers with an oxblood Anson belt. In the last photo (again an AI background) it is the same blue shirt you posted about and have. Thanks for including me in your video! ~Jeff #Legend
Thanks John for including me in your video. A little story about the white sneakers. I had always wanted a pair but wasn't prepared to pay the hefty price tag . So with patience and perseverance I finally found a practically new pair of white leather sneakers at Goodwill for $6:99 . My kind of price.✌
Legend! The photos that were not AI, just really high quality photos. You can't lean like he did in AI. I really liked pics of the older gentlemen as I have issues with trying to figure out clothing. Just wish I could wear a sports jacket in the summer without getting heat exhaustion. First critique video I've seen of yours John. It's really good stuff. 👍👍👍
You changed my world last year when I found your channel. This was a great vid. I would like to submit in the future. I was a t-shirt and jeans type of guy. Now … for the FIRST time in my 60+ years, I am noticing people turning and looking my way. Not bragging. It’s just a new thing for me. Before I ever film for my online vids, I make sure that I am at the top of my game. Thanks to your channel. BTW we look like we could be brothers. Ha
Greg rocking that orange. I just purchased my first ever orange sports jacket. Still trying to get comfortable in it. Jeff out of the ballpark , those shoes and hat killer. These critiques are superb.
I feel i have seen some of these photos before. Especially from the regular gents. I guess a good fis is a good fit enough to pos it twice. Good job with your look guys!! 👏
That’s (weight) the last thing this woman notices about men. Are they clean, intelligent, and wearing modern clothing? In fact those things would be more important than thinking a certain weight is superior. Ugh.
Great video. I have been running into issues with finding polos that fit me right. I have a few that fit great up top, but they are very long in the torso, so I may have to start tucking them in. Otherwise, I'm starting to get ready for an event this winter and I may have to send in some photos of what I choose to wear.
John, agreed, these guys look great, but the sleeves are too big, better to be shorter and more hugging the upper arms on any shirt. And I'm wearing black t-shirts like you are .. always a great look and slims me down.
Polo shirts tucked into jeans/shirts with no belt? That looks off to me. Genuine question, I don't know, and kudos to the guys for submitting their photos, it's very helpful.
3:34 I agree with the shirt sleeves being wide, but unless the shirt cut itself is giving an optical illusion, I think he may have a pear-shaped/ skinny fat body- with a wider midsection with skinny arms. Which if that is the case, what shirt cut and style would you recommend?
It’s tough, because everybody makes different cuts, but I would still suggest something in a slim fit. It just takes a little bit of time trying different brands and different cuts to find one that works for your body.
I'm a skinny guy overall. What I realized over the years is that if your body shape screams "S", don't fool yourself by wearing slightly larger sized clothes. The perfect size is the most important aspect above anything.
Corey: 1st not a fan of the outfit. Sorry, bud. 2nd totally agree with John. Alex: All about equally well done. Gene: Agree with John. Greg:🤜🤛 Jeff: Don't personally like boat shoes, and the last one wasn't my favorite as it could fit better, but overall not bad. Jonas: not a fan of the socks, but thats just a personal thing. Kevin: decent first, second is better. Larry: only thing I don't like is the little white logo on the shirt. Second is the better outfit. Third is my least favorite. Don't like the color combo. Still pretty decent overall. Oz: great other than the belt, 2nd pants too long otherwise great. Tony: 🤜🤛 Just my opinions, guys. Nothing was obnoxious or bad. Some was just personal preference or nitpicking.
I disagree. You can wear a shirt that has the right fit and breathable for summer and look fantastic. Having a shirt too big makes you look sloppy especially if shoulder seam overhangs natural shoulder. The first picture and the person @06:20. Fit is key!

Absolutely! These are great guys!
I follow you on IG but I didn't get the notification for the style review. I will be ready for the fall review. LOL

Well done! Appreciate you!
Great video. It was nice to see a few heavier set guys rocking it. Thanks for the inspiration everybody.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is refreshing. I thought at 62 I was the oldest in this brotherhood.

Uh oh, Larry is giving our beloved John some competition in the style department. 😆😆 hehehe.
Right?! :)
I appreciate the showcasing of the bigger guys! Most other videos show guys who are super thin. I am 240 lbs, so it was great to see this. Ty!
Of course! Thanks for watching!
Congrats gentlemen, do not have the courage to post pics of myself...looking good.

we need more videos like this 👌
Thanks for the style suggestions as always, John. #Legend - Corey
Thank you for participating!!
Look at all these legends! Well done men! See you in the fall video #legends
Jeff looks fantastic, quite handsome too.

Feel?
First time I’ve seen any of them. Some of the guys have been featured before though.
Great video John, maybe I’ll work up the courage to send a few pictures next time.
Do it!
Thanks for including me👍🏻
My pleasure! Thank you very much!
You look incredible.
Great fits all around. I would participate but I’m too shy for this 👉👈
looking dialed fellas
Great advice man!
My favourite thing to wear with a summer outfit is a smile.
Keep up the fantastic work.
Thank you!
Aww thanks for the compliment. Your suggestion have helped tremendously
Absolutely! Appreciate you!
Love seeing these looks
Looks like the Tudor GMT , I have one goes well with most stuff I wear
Good vid
Yes, Thank you!
Best fashion advice ever given to me was keep your weight below 175 LBS.
Does not matter what you wear, first thing people notice if are overweight !
This is so true! You can have on the most expensive/fashionable clothes but the look is severely diminished when you’re out of shape.
That’s (weight) the last thing this woman notices about men. Are they clean, intelligent, and wearing modern clothing? In fact those things would be more important than thinking a certain weight is superior. Ugh.

@@lynnebattaglia-triggs1042 Above 175 lb I presume?
Great video John , I.M.H.O Corey would look great in a slim fit polo untucked from his chinos, same with the shirt and shorts combo.
Thanks for including me in the video!!
Of course! Thank you!
Great analysis as always. I learned a lot from this video - thank you.

Yes, you can absolutely tuck in polos.
I enjoy the content

mmmmm...the white sneaker trend, not for me...the gentleman in brown and black sneaker looks sharp 👌

11:11 would go better on darker skin, I think. At least, contrast missing between t-shirt snd face IMO.
Besides fit, when I wear shorts I go with no show socks.
You and me both!

@@40OverFashionMy experience exactly. Shop at a specialty shop that knows your style and finds good fits for you.
The gym.
Damm, I missed your post on this and did not summit my picks.
Next time!
11:34 Kevin, get rid of that mirror! It looks like a coffin!
All the gentlemen look great….just Kevin’s mirror looked a bit spooky ⚰️
How often do you do these photo critiques? I’d like to participate sometime.
I generally do them every season. Keep an eye out on my Instagram stories. That’s where I make the announcements.
I have skinny arms, so I tend to wear long-sleeved shirts rolled up.

I don't agree with the "shirt too big" comments. Loose clothes breathe better in summer.

It’s too big.
This is a style channel not a comfort and sloppy fit channel
Perfect size is everything. You have to master it first to get to the next level :)
The only thing people care about is how u dress?
