      Thank you for this. I noticed two things, I released a bit of air at one point and I started thinking yes, this is static breath hold, underwater we move. I know I can do myself but would you do a guided breath hold where we are moving walking? Thank you

    I got to the 40 seconds, it was so challenging that I decided to try again tomorrow to get to 50 and 60 seconds. Thanks! 40 seconds is longer than I’ve ever done before.

    Gert. Your much calmer, relaxed, and soothing style of commentary on this video is far better suited to the chilling-out required in freediving. Great video & the progressive style is suitable for everyone. Brilliant 👏

    @gertleroy, I have a question!
    first of all, i love the channel, started doing a lot of breathing exercises. doing better with breatholds. now i breathe slower than before in regular life as well, having much higher co2 threathold, more calm. i'm thrilled! thank you!!
    i was curious about the following: i'm reading now about diving on nitrox (a different discipline, i know!). but (!!!) they say that if you retain co2 more than regular folk, it can increase the potential for oxygen toxicity. i presume that more co2 in your bloodstream --> more o2 absorbed when you breathe a higher o2% mixture like nitrox. question: do freedivers have to behave super cautiously if they were ever to dive on nitrox and breathe more than they usually do to retain lower co2 levels?

    • @gertleroy
      @gertleroy  3 місяці тому +2

      @@jobinjose8156 it depends on how bad or good you're swimming. it's all about technique. if you're a bad swimmer maybe 30 seconds.. if you're a good swimmer maybe a minute.. it's about technique and hie relax you are ( most people are anxious)
