Shawn is in my opinion one of the best Koi dealers in the states! Honest, positive and he is a real Koi lover! See you this Autumn again in Niigata! Take care boys, best Wishes from Holland!
Thank you Eric and Shawn. I've been trying to soak up the knowledge from your videos for about a year now. I always learn something new. Appreciate you guys!
Hi there i am trying to decide which size of basin i need for the stream. Length=25' Width=3' Depth=1.5 inch I found online this formula L×w×(0.25×d)×7.48=gallons in stream. I put the numbers above and got 210 gallons. Then I multiply it by 2.5, getting 525 gallons of water the basin has to contain. Isnt it too much? It is just a 25 feet long stream. If it is so I need to dig a huge hole in the ground.
Ah he pick 2 as well. Lol Well, I did learn that for sanke (text book) look for the tri colors on the shoulders. And marutin and maki (um probably misspelled). 😀 Thanks guys!
I just picked one of those from there last week...i wish i had your bussnes location i just had my costomer spend nearly 50 grand there with bill..a 25,000 gal pond with the profi drum bead filter skimmers 3 bottom drains koi window...and i hate to say but mistic koi treated me like shit maybe cause they didnt do that build ...itsca 35x15 8 ft deep 6 in ground 2 above with a 6x2 ft infinity window ...took 2 months due to rain ..and constantly adding stuff
Hey sorry to hear you had a bad time at my store, we try to make sure everyone has a good experience at Mystic Koi. We don't build ponds, so have no reason to not be harbor any ill will. Also these koi are from about a year ago, but many koi look similar to most I guess. Next time you stop in say hi as I would love to know what my staff could have done better. Cheers!

Glad you are back bro, these sankes are very precious!
Could you do a discussion on chagoi or soragoi and the history of how they were created?
Yay!!! Love the lightening bolt for now. But I am always looking for what the koi will do as they grow larger. Lesson learned as I have collected koi.
Keep these videos coming!!!! Please!!!
