Asus did that because the GPU will heat up the m.2 in the second slot. As a way to fix that problem, ASUS put the heatsink on the second slot. I have switched the heat sink to the top slot and after testing, the second slot m.2 was hitting 45-55c. Hope that answers the question!
But that would be for an inverted build what abt a regular build.
It would have been helpful to add the fans you used to the description and mention the fact you need standard addressable fans to be able to plug them onto the case because I bought a Corsair kit with fans but the motherboard is not compatible with the RGB hub due to the lack of an LED header on this motherboard. So here I am 2 more days delayed on my build because I didn't know this information. Helpful video, don't get me wrong, but for first time builders it can be misleading. Good thing I can still return stuff I don't need to Amazon

You should make an old-school type build. (with Ketchup and mustard PSU cables)
Not going to lie I absolutely love the darker panels. I have the Meshify C Dark for Amanda's case and I really love that darker tempered glass look.

Awesome you get to review these cards for us. Sadly I’m stuck with a 960 for awhile till stocks are back to normal and medical is taken care of. But until then I’ll watch these videos and pretend it’s me holding that beauty.

Ed you should use this build for a setup makeover because this thing looks amazing. I'm just saying but I use a laptop to game on and that is it so my setup is bit crappy.
You can tell it’s an inverted case just by looks on the outside. The i/o panel is clearly on the right side when looking at the front glass panel of the case.

They added it to the middle of the card because that's where the PCB ends! The back half of the card is just a fan pulling air through the fins on the cooler.
