Stephen has got this interview perfect; he's listening and not interrupting. It's so pleasing when a host shuts up and let's the guest speak. 👍👍👍
That's why I love Stephen. He's usually really good about not constantly preventing the guest from stealing his own spotlight. Most hosts are pretty much "it's cool that you're here and all but at the end of the day, this show is still all about me". Seth Meyers is also really good at this, as well. Colbert is a naturally curious person which makes him a great interviewer. He respects the guests as much as they respect him and it shows in the way most guests interact with him. He's just an all round good dude.

Also helps not to infuriate embarrass humiliate a female guest by placing food in her mouth while her hands are full - yes Jimmy Kimmel really did that.

I don’t really follow her music, but I have a new respect for her now. Never really paid attention to her before. But I really liked what I just saw. I saw honesty. I saw a real down to earth human. Big ups to Lady Gaga.

Adil A Its not that big. It actually fits her face well. Funny enough, that was referenced in the movie a few times and was a real insecurity for her character because she was always rejected for her looks.

All I can say is wow! What an incredible interview, it is definitely one of my favorites from the Late Show. Stephen's questions showed how much the movie affected him and Gaga was real, poignant and touching. In the movie Bradley was the incredible actor he's always been and together with Gaga it was a undeniable and powerful force for what it means to be human... Just amazing!

In my mind words have a dictionary definition and the meaning that you give it: in my mind when i use the word beautiful, it has no physical component; rather i mean a kind, empathic amazing human being. It transcends all boundaries ... no matter how pretty one is ... being beautiful is something else that i value so much more. Lady gaga is one hell of a beautiful young woman and so is Stephen Colbert. I appreciate and love them for their real and heartfelt kindness. Thats why i loved this interview

Wow! Me, too! I was blown away by her talent, as was Tony (You could just see, in the PBS "Tony Bennett and Friends" duets series, how much he was loving singing with her and how much he respected her talent. She and k.d. Lang sang the best duos with Tony.) That's when I started to view her in an entirely new way. Told people that, and most never even knew she sang with Tony Bennett at all (they also did a concert together years before that).
