You either agree to work for dirt cheap or they get people who will.

Because there's no way a businessman participating in a large-scale conspiracy to defraud the us govt would just admit to a felony like that while being recorded...

I wonder if the acid reflux is a case of not enough stomach acid, rather than too much. That lower esophageal opening needs good stomach acid to signal when to close. If it's weak (which is the usual reason), it won't close properly and that is why you get acid reflux.
If you take antacids, it makes the already weak acid worse, which exacerbates the problem, which also leads to worse digestion.
If you think that may be an issue, look into hydrochloric acid supplements, which is basically stomach acid in pill form. That will strengthen your acid, triggering the esophagus to close properly. Dosing depends on how bad things are, but can be fairly high.

Holy hell do I hate the auromated phone systems. 9 times out of 10 when I encounter them, if they have voice commands I'll just repeat "human, human, human, human" for about a minute and it'll redirect me to a person.
When it doesn't have voice commands I've had luck just mashing numbers into the keypad to auto send me to a person. I hope that might work for you, Fox Woman.
Hope you continue your journey of recovery expediently.

After inserting all my security passwords and codes the nice robo-lady asked for , I was put on hold for 6+ minutes - I eventually gave up and hung up (it was on the 26th of December so probably nobody even was on "phone-duty"). Man , I love burocracy.

A lot of phone tree systems with voice commands are actually set up to send you to a live person if you swear enough at it. They know people can get frustrated navigating them and start getting irate with the robot, which is why they were initially setup like that. Not sure if they have been fine tuned better, but it use to be you could just start cussing it out right from the start to shortcut the process to get a human.

My first guess was that she's drinking too much water and/or alkaline minerals after eating, so that the stomach acid gets diluted, and the food is being digested at a slower rate. Or the acid production is being impaired. Not sure. Specific bacterial infection might be a cause for that. Idk if it's okay to wait it out, or go have the stomach contents analyzed and possibly be put on antibiotics.

To be fair about the Ukraine thing, sending weapons is what's keeping us from being forced to send soldiers down the road.
At the moment the military would rather sacrifice surplus weapons than soldiers.
Edit: also, isn't it a bit hypocritical to say that women shouldn't be leaders while also believing in equal opportunity? If a woman wins an election over a man fair and square, why shouldn't she be a leader? Just because you don't feel you could handle politics as a career, doesn't mean that no woman can.

I'm going to still hard disagree on your protectionism. While the loss of particular american jobs is unfortunate, comparative advantage shows that its always better to do the things you do better and let other people do the things they do better. The only two situations where comparative advantage is 1) when there are legal or trade barriers which reduce the benefits (in which case, much like the smoot hawley tariff act, adding more barriers just makes things worse for everyone including the person who added the additional barriers), or 2) where one party can do everything more efficiently by the exact same percentage.
The market is a tool for finding equilibrium. Protectionism, no matter how well intentioned, always harms that equilibrium and thus harms everyone involved. Every job saved from protectionism is liable to cost between 2 and 8 times as much (2-3 being the average, 8 being something like the USSR or EU). And I'm using cost not as a synonym for price, but in reference to total economic opportunity; saving one job from protectionist policies is almost certain to result in two (or more) jobs being lost or multiple other jobs being reduced by the same total output.

Barriers only enable the government to project authority over others. If companies can't create affordable and plentiful products, then either they should get replaced by competition(domestic/foreign) or the government is oppressive to businesses.

Only if your toy model assumes that capitol investment and labor are perfectly fungible, and ignores all the other fun things like say transport cost. I expect most people have chosen to believe their lying eyes on this one.

    • @KahavaveCAPIPI
      @KahavaveCAPIPI 10 днів тому

@@user-uv1tr9tj5w If things like transport cost increase the end user price to an extent that it wipes out any benefit from selling internationally, then there would be no impetuous for protectionist policies; the necessary high cost of foreign goods would drive people away from them. This is not what we see; areas which are more friendly to their natural market price produce goods the most efficiently at a given quality. Transport cost is, effectively, a barrier to trade; the ability to transport large quantities of goods cheaply has always resulted in superior trade.
Comparative advantage does not assume that capital and labor are fungible. In point of fact, the entire reason it works is because those are not fungible between countries; if they were, then comparative advantage would simply not be a thing. If capital and labor were perfectly fungible, then the country which had the most of those would never need to import because it could produce everything internally, and thus save on transport costs and the hassle of dealing with foreign trade. Every country which has tried autarky has seen prices rise and wages, quality of goods, and the standard of living all drop.
