Dear Mr. J: Could you explain the reason or reasons for finding the greatest common factor and the least common multiples of two numbers? I have read that the GCF is good for simplifying fractions and the LCM is good for enabling the addition and subtraction of two fractions. Is this the only reason? Thank you.

OMGGGGG!! this helped me so much and makes LCM and GCF so much clear and more easy than I expected because in school my math teacher make it so unclear and made it seem like it was harder than 7th grade math but this is easy thank you so much i actually might pass my test for the first time cause I always dreamt to get more than 70 cause I would always get 50-60 thank you!
