I swear, you are in my attic. I got my PS3, and was looking to mod it? BOOM: 4.91 Jailbreak. And now I got my old Xbox and was looking to mod it as well, and you drop multiple videos about modding the Xbox. Whatever console I find next, I swear, you are going to make a video on how to mod it.
It’s really easy to add USB port to the original Xbox. You can take a USB extension cable and cut the tip off exposed the four wires and solder them to the four traces that are visible on the top of the controller. or you can do it inside the controller or you can open up the box and on the inside attached the USB extension to the wires that lead to the game port. the game ports on Xbox are USB. They just have a different shape to them, but the four wires that lead to the Xbox port are the same four wires that run to a USB port.
I was on vacation when xcat was released. When i got back home i ran it on 14 of my 16 xboxes. I uploaded a lot of stuff. Hopefully, some of it is useful. I got a couple more. i have to swap psus on before i can run xcat on them. Xcat got me really thinking about the og xbox and some of the gens on It i never played. Hopefully, a few will end up on my end of the year games i finished list.
Got inspired by this and started it on one of my consoles that I bought used a few years ago, but have not touched the content on. It is uploading something at least. Is is a hard modded system so it was easy to start the application.
@@MrMario2011 you did not joke when you said it will take a long time 😂 Ended up removing ALOT of movies and TV-shows that where on the HDD, probably over 50 movies. I guess the last owner watched alot of movies on the Xbox. And I guess the XCAT team is not interested in an old DVD-rip of "The Devil Wears Prada" or "Shrek 2" 😆 After that it sped up quite a bit.
I usually do the same on most of my systems, modded or similar, I backup original os, nand, CPU key, drive key etc.. I create a folder inside the console if the folder is not too big otherwise I copy on usb stick or storage HDD.
i should try this, i think i made disk images of my 2 xboxes before softmodding them a couple years ago and one already had unarchived DLC i helped to preserve
My 1.0 Xbox is Evo X but has an error when trying to get Insignia running. Especially on static. When on DHPC it gets 3 green dots but not the last one. Is it because it has the Xbox live blocker?
It's probably an app or your homebrew dash overwriting the DNS servers on your Xbox. Check Insignia's discord support forum. There's a pinned post with lots of information that can help.
I love the fact that here, decades later, the OG Xbox scene is still alive and kicking.

if they don't work you can take out the hard drives put them onto a adapter and plug it into your pc

@@petersoderlund9572 XCAT most likely wont even try to scan for your movies. The folders it scans are listed on the ConsoleMods page for it.

EvoX BIOS doesn't block Live.
