People in the comments need to realize that this is based on national numbers and doesn't represent what many people eat everyday. So, of course it will represent some people and not others.
@@pacmon5285 I feel like it could be a good representation of an unhealthy Americans’ weekend diet. Most of us are not eating out for 3 meals a day, but if you did have to eat out all day, for a lot of people, unfortunately this is what it looks like.
@ no kidding. You don’t know how to make pancakes and grilled cheese? Have to be two of the easiest things on the planet to cook. Pizza is extremely easy to cook as well, but you could also get a Hot n Ready pizza from Little Caesar’s and be under $5 for the day.
AVERAGE. Doesn't mean EVERYONE. Yes, these foods are very common among American families. Do they eat it everyday, no! But these are infact some of the most common foods that Americans consume.
@@MistilynnRichardson Oh yes, you're right, because most Americans have eaten pizza or brownies or McDonalds on occasion, that means it's totally legit to eat nothing but pizza and brownies and McDonalds for a week and consider that "the American diet." Tell you what? I'm going to try to the British diet! I'm going to eat nothing but curry and chips, sausage rolls, Jaffa cakes, and prawn cocktail crisps for a week! What? Those are all common foods that British people consume!
Most Americans do not actually eat like this on a daily basis. We cook our own food at home that is healthier than what you guys are eating over the course of this day. We do consume a lot of processed foods, yes, but more often than not, we are at home cooking our own food and eating there. Meals at home can consist of cereal and milk or toast and coffee for breakfast, and simple sandwich for lunch, and meat, potatoes, and veggies for dinner. We couldn't afford to hit a restaurant for every meal.
I have a challenge for you two. Live with a middle class American for a few months without going out to eat. Just live in a simple budget and have them teach you how to cook our meals during hard times. See how differently you'll feel when you're not given the red carpet treatment. Not everyone eats this way. What you just ate are special occasion meals to half of America.
I eat all those foods, but not all in one day. I almost never eat more than one meal out per day, and that includes takeout or delivery. And we do eat vegetables. Really. We do. Honest!
@@robinbliss6513 lol I think this is the only honest comment on this video. There’s no way everybody in the comments never eats out. Our obesity rates don’t lie.
This daily diet is a stereotype. Common breakfast on my house is usually cereal, eggs, toast, or oatmeal. Lunch is usually a sandwich or soup or salad, and dinner is usually some sort of protein with veggies and a carb. Nothing too crazy.
The only statistics are what restaurants report. This doesn't include what millions of us cook and eat at home. Personally my family and I rarely eat fast food or at restaurants.
💀💀my British (Mersey side) grandmother insists on having vanilla ice cream in the house at all times!!! She’s 92 and she still gets up in the middle of the night for a quick bite😂 she’s been in America nearly 70 years ❤. We love your videos! Cheers yall
Most of us either skip breakfast or eat cereal. Everyone cannot eat takeout food all the time. We actually do make our own food at home. And make our lunches to take to work.
We don't eat this all the time or every day guys. Also, you eat grilled cheese with tomato soup, not fries. I'll allow the Big Mac though. Domino's is eaten about once a month. We mostly get our pizza from local Italian restaurants that serve pizza. The ranch is better there.
Anybody who eats out that much will consume excessive calories. We cook at home, and it's actually more healthful than what's represented here. Can't even remember the last time I had McDonalds or even pancakes.
Just because it’s available in the US doesn’t mean it’s the American diet. I eat salad for lunch every day- so do many. I haven’t had fast food in years
AND NOBODY EATS THREE HEAVY MEALS LIKE THIS IN A DAY!!!! Regardless of what your Internet generated statistics say ... They're wrong! If I had any one of these meals on a given day, I probably wouldn't eat anything else that day!
Did you feel we would generally relate to this video? Is this the American diet or a bunch of random fast or cheap food you’ve heard about in America? It's like you havent even visited America yet. 😢
When I was in the Army I was eating around 12,000 k calories a day with all the work and workout I was doing. Out of the Army for 20+ years now, I eat around 4,000 a day due to work. I don't workout anymore.
Start your day with a glass of juice, then have a big Red Bull, lunch is a sandwich (peanut butter and jelly) or salad, and dinner is whatever you can slap together after a long day at work. For those of us who used to work night shift, wake up to caffeine and lots of it, make a sandwich or put something together you can eat in under ten minutes, get to work and have more caffeine and lots of it, in between seeing patients you'll be snacking on celery and carrots or cheese cubes and nuts, when you get your meal break you'll have to eat quickly because you'll be called back to the floor within 10-15 minutes, caffeine and lots of it, water water water, snack on something healthy, and when you're done with your shift you head home to bed.
I'm an average American and what you are showing does NOT represent what I, or anyone I know, eats on a daily basis. You got this one wrong and are misrepresenting us.
@@beckyrinaldi6622 good for you but your life is not indicative of the average American. Each generation knows less and less about cooking. It’s not a skill that is being passed down unfortunately. A lot of people are eating even worse when they eat at home b/c they’re eating frozen meals & snack foods. Look at all the crap being sold in our grocery stores. You may not be buying it but A LOT of people are. & it’s cheap, & it’s covered by EBT.
@colleenmonfross4283 the sad fact is they are 100% correct you can actually research the facts yourself. Based. On a nationwide average this is the correct calorie intake per day for america as a whole.
Another fun fact about ice cream, during WW2 America had a whole ship that made ice cream and delivered it to troops to help raise morale in the Pacific
What I ate today as an American : Breakfast - toast with banana and blueberries Lunch - spanakopita, veggie grape leaves, cucumber & hummus Dinner - lemon butter salmon w fresh dill & parsley, rice pilaf, carrots & peas 😊 ❤ I do LOVE pancakes w eggs & bacon but that’s a special occasion breakfast… maybe Christmas morning ! Or after a night out drinking 😂 (don’t drink anymore but if I did!) I’m not really a fan of grilled cheese unless it’s made with really good cheese (Gruyère, Gouda, and or aged cheddar) & must have tomato soup with it, that’s a MUST! You have to dip the grilled cheese in the soup 😉 PIZZA - my fave. If I was trapped on an island and could only eat one thing forever , can’t go wrong with PIZZA 🍕 I know it’s technically Italian but we do it different in America 🇺🇸 ❤ My favorite pizza : bacon, pineapple and jalapeño 🤩 I noticed a lot of Americans in the comments whinging about misrepresentation 😂 I think it would be more fun and interesting if we all posted what we ate today!! And keep it real 😉 Oh and dessert! I didn’t eat dessert today 😢 but yesterday I had a leftover piece of ice cream cake from my husbands birthday celebration - cookies & cream ice cream cake from Dairy Queen… exquisite 😂❤ And as an America I do LOVE bacon 🥓💕🥓💕🥓 I highly recommend you boys go out for some 5* BBQ if you haven’t yet . You will fall in love 😍
Would be interesting to know where they got their "average calorie" consumption info from. According to an Oxford study last year, Brits consume 3423 calories on average not the 2100 they claim. Yes Americans consume more on average at 3868, not much of a difference.
Were those restaurant stats? That was definitely not the AVERAGE American everyday diet. You may have missed the mark on this one, guys. Love your content, though. I suggest reading the comments and making another go at it. In my house Breakfast is milk for the Little, coffee for the adults. Eggs, bacon, and toast made at home. Lunch usually is ham or turkey sandwiches, chips, and a fruit, like oranges. Sometimes ramen and a fruit. Usually, adults have a soda, and the little gets juice. A budget dinner is something like spaghetti and a salad, or grilled chicken or pork chops with green beans and mashed potatoes. We dont eat dessert every day at my house, but ice cream is a choice for sure, and so is Jello or just some cookies. Snacks are usually fruit and water at my house. My son and I have lactose problems as well, so I use almond milk, and we take lactaid when having ice cream.
This amount of food is not the norm for Americans. For instance this morning for breakfast I ate a banana and drank some herbal tea with honey. Sometimes I add on a yogurt. A full breakfast with pancakes, eggs, and bacon is rare. For lunch I usually eat leftovers from last night's dinner which is usually homemade. Americans do love their pizza, other fast food and going to restaurants, but we also know it's not good for us and do try to eat healthy when possible.
As an American, this video fails to resonate with me. I don’t know anyone who eats these things everyday. Try making videos that better represent Americans. You’ll get more viewers.
I don't care for pancakes & you need tomatoes & bacon on that grill cheese. Wendy's burgers are better than Micky D's. I eat pizza once a month - maybe.
I don’t eat the breakfast and lunch options too much. I make Chaffles if I want a pancake fix. Lunch is usually chicken, veg and brown rice…..snacks are berries, cottage cheese, yogurt and nuts. On the weekends I’ll make pizza or burgers or chili dogs. On a whole I cook everything and we try to eat healthy (cause we are old people😆) Enjoy your stay in America. We love when you visit🙂
I think a video of what you both eat in a day (typically) in the UK would be neat! But while we enjoy all of these foods, we don't eat like this daily. Yesterday (as an Appalachian) Breakfast: livermush, 1 egg, swiss cheese, whole wheat toast (as a sandwich with a little scrape of maya and hot sauce) Lunch: i skipped a proper meal 😅 but my husband ate a pbj at work Dinner: we DID have pizza. But we made it from scratch to help make it healthier and served it with salad so we would eat less of the pizza. Both most days, i eat B: pb toast with a banana Snack: pb crackers L: dinner leftovers, like soup with a bit of sourdough to dip. Snack: low fat cottage cheese with fruit D: air-fried chicken or steak tips, roasted veggies & diced roasted potato
I haven't had pancakes for breakfast and probably six months. So no, that's not a normal breakfast. It's not grease on a grilled cheese sandwich. It's butter. just saying
This is not an average American diet. A simple sandwich or salad is more typical for lunch. Many of us are not ever eating at McDonald’s and I’ve never had a Big Mac! Pancakes might be a special treat. Maybe ask people what they really eat for meals rather than just assuming we all eat junk, high calorie, processed foods. Many of us cook homemade meals for our families rather than eating out for each meal.
Im not even American and know this is not what people eat daily. I think ypu guys should maybe talk to some Americans, normal average every day American meals, and see.
Vanilla Ice Cream, With crushed saltines crackers and hershey syrup: It was a main night desert when I was a child and now I introduced my husband to it and he loves it as well as our kids!
These guys aren't interested in experiencing America. They're interested in misrepresenting us with stereotypes that intellectually lazy foreigners can laugh at while doing the exact same stuff.
A lot of Americans are fat, yes but honestly, I can’t relate to this video at all lol 😂 That Philly pizza looks delicious though, not gonna lie. I am WRECKED if I eat most of that food though - I can’t do it. You lot should do a tour of the Diners Drive-ins and Dives (found on Food Network).. that would be awesome❣ There is a national day of something/anything in the US lol
Ya'll need to spend the day with an average American and eat with them to get a good idea of what the real average American eats in a day. Sure, these are national numbers, but I have never met a single person who has ever had this kind of food all in one day. And I have lived in 5 US regions.
What’s extremely sad is that they have. They have turned into the typical Brit that capitalizes on fake American stereotypes. They don’t give a shit about America or its people only mocking us like we are some kind of joke.

wow, based on this I am not even close to eating the average amerian diet. I realize that this was meant to show what people eat based on consumer data but it paints such an unrealistic account of how we really eat on a daily basis. I don't know anyone who eats like this regularly. The only thing that applies to me is ice cream. I eat an average of one pint a week. :)
Most Americans i know skip breakfast or have just coffee in the morning until lunch time. Im lucky if i even eat 2100 calories a day. As an American..... im too busy and forget to eat very often.
Many people aren’t taking into consideration that they may not be in a home with a kitchen and able to cook these same meals so they had to eat out for their average day experiment.
@@MasterDanielson there’s a McDonald’s on every corner. As much as we don’t want to admit it a lot of Americans eat McDonald’s at least once a week. They’re not selling the burgers to nobody.
Used to work at Domino's, that Philly Cheesesteak was my favorite. The sauce is White American Cheese. Not only is there an National Ice Cream Day, the third Sunday in July, but there is also a National Ice Cream Month - July, a National Ice Cream Cone Day - September 22, and a National Ice Cream Sandwich Day - August 2!
Yup i agree with a few of the comments. Big breakfasts, such as pancakes with bacon or things like biscuits and gravy, are usually reserved for the weekends. Weekdays usually consist of cereal, yogurt with fruit or smoothies. I personally enjoy egg cups premade for the week. Fast and easy is usually a good pt when looking at eating like an American. Hence the fast food craze. Pizza is great for those nights coming home late from post school kids sports, music or dance lessons. Crockpot is also a huge tool in US.
Two slices of bacon, cup of coffee with cream, an apple, spinach salad with goat cheese/strawberries/walnuts with raspberry balsamic dressing, dinner was ham and cheese toastie on homemade sourdough with carrot sticks. That was yesterday, I had pancakes 3 months ago and never had a big mac. Snacks we like are pan popped popcorn, pistachios, pecans, berries, and cheese sticks. We eat pizza once a month-
I'd say you're close but it's more a combination of what you ate than either of your individual choices. Bacon and eggs more than pancakes. Grilled cheese or a simple sandwich (possibly with a small bag of potato crisps/chips or a similar snack) for lunch. Not as often pizza but likely the Mickey D's meal (Big Mac and fries) for supper. As for snacks, it would be more rare (special occasions) to have the brownie and ice cream together, it would be more likely to choose one or the other. If you do another such day, I'd suggest a Mickey D's Egg McMuffin for breakfast, a simple cold cut sandwich or sub for lunch and a solid meal such as steak and potatoes or chicken and potatoes or such for supper. As for the snack, potato chips/crisps or a similar style snack or a couple of Oreos with a glass of milk or such is more average for us. Even some toast or a toasted English Muffin (which is similar to a crumpet but not quite the same) is more average.
American TV show like The Simple Life. Every 2-3 weeks, you live with a Different family in a different part of the USA. Live with the family, do chores, get a job, spend time with the family, go to church, etc
You missed the perfect opportunity! Guys, Sausage Gravy and Biscuits for breakfast!! Then, yes, ok a burger or Pizza for lunch. My husband had Grilled cheese tonight for dinner, I had a bowl of cereal. And yes, we have not only a National Ice Cream MONTH (July) but National Ice Cream Day is the 3rd Sunday in July. Though I'm not sure how well it's known, because I had to ask Alexa!!
Everybody on here saying they don't eat all this in one day. I do. I'm a white 38 yr old 125 lb woman. I literally eat like this almost everyday. Breakfast: sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Lunch: cheeseburger or chik-fil-a Dinner: Pizza or BBQ or something like that. Oh, and a latte at some point in between.
@@rbfoster They are and I've made thousands of them the several times that I worked as a breakfast cook, but I prefer French Toast and German pancakes 👍
Wow! I don't eat those on a daily basis! All of those are once-in-a-while/special occasion foods (although sometimes I get an ice cream craving & it's for chocolate peanut butter 😋😋😋). I mostly eat what I make at home. Now that winter's coming, I'll make a big crock pot of hearty soup & eat it throughout the week.😃
You guys are dreaming. That is not even close to MY (average American) diet. I usually have either a bowl of oatmeal or 2 scrambled eggs with veggies and a slice of bacon for breakfast. A homemade sandwich and/or leftovers for lunch, and a meat and vegetable for supper. Today it was scrambled eggs with asparagus for breakfast, a piece of oven baked chicken and about a half-cup of leftover homemade German potato salad for lunch, and for supper, I have had homemade Italian minestrone soup going in the slow cooker all day. As a woman, I try not to, and rarely go over 12-1400 calories/day. I may eat fast food or pizza once/month if that.
My meals as an American Breakfast: cereal with milk, sometimes a full breakfast with pancakes eggs and bacon Lunch: quesadilla with cheese, hot sauce, and tortilla chips or meat if I happen to have either of those Or a sandwich with cheese, turkey or ham, mustard, and pickles Dinner: family recipes most including potatoes and meat in a sauce, with rice and beans, or really simple meals with chicken, potatoes or pasta, and a green vegetable That's what I eat usually, and sometimes (probably too often but definitely not every day) I get fast food or go to a restaurant. I can make a meal for a whole family plus leftovers for less than $10 or I could get mediocre fast food that's bad for us for $40
At least 6 days a week, I have plain yogurt with honey with either walnuts or pumpkin seeds. For lunch, it’s either a salad or whatever’s left over in the house but it’s reasonable along with a lean dinner which is usually a cup to a cup and a half of vegetables with a lean protein. This is not a true Americans diet maybe some Americans. I can’t remember the last time I ate bacon. You might be right on the numbers, but you can understand how many people are in America. I can honestly tell you I have Never had a Big Mac! The last hamburger I had, half of it with my husband ate the other half and we had a large salad. That was over two months ago. The last pizza we had was over three months ago and I had one slice and my husband ate two slices for dinner. This is not a typical American meal. You should do some additional research because a lot of people eat at home. Thank you

A lot of our calories are consumed through drinks like flavored coffee creamers, alcohol and sodas. Also, a lot of our food and drinks have heavy amounts of corn syrup. We produce so much corn it's cheaper to use corn syrup than sugar in many things.
So I just wanna point out. The reason pepperoni is the most popular pizza is because we have a lot of pizza places that are kid based or family based so that the kids will eat like Cicis pizza someplace still have a Pizza Hut buffet Chuck E. Cheese monkey Joe’s lots of places that are kid based And a lot of kids will only eat pepperoni pizza. Also the other reason a lot of pizzas get sold every year is because it’s the easiest food to get delivery for a party so birthday parties, anniversary parties, work parties, graduation parties even just random teens movie nights with all their friends over and sleepovers. They all order pizza and the safest route to go so that there’s no allergy issues is pepperoni or cheese, but Americans like to party and celebrate all kinds of different things and pizza is the go to item that everybody loves except for Tuesdays Tuesdays is usually taco Tuesday
You got the Big Mac? I guess that's safe. I think the quarter pounder burger is the only one that got removed from the menu right now due to the e coli outbreak from it.
My average diet consists of an iced coffee with a protein bar for breakfast. Lunch: a microwaveable meal or salad. Dinner varies, but usually some protein, veggies, and a carb.
American here. Breakfast: usually skipped. Lunch: baked chicken and steamed veggies. Dinner: either baked chicken again or ill make a chickpea pasta. Recently went gluten and dairy free, because the overly processed foods in this country are killing me and make my pre-existing health issues worse.

I do not consume any of those foods, but I know a lot of people who do. I’m lactose intolerant, allergic to preservatives, and greasy food messes with my acid reflux. I can basically eat fruits, vegetables, bread, some meat, and a little sweets.
Most working Americans don't have time to eat 3 large meals a day, especially large heavy foods like yall were eating. I eat one meal a day and will grab a snack cake or crackers to hold me over when I get hungry. On the weekends, we might splurge on 2 meals a day, but not always. I love you guys, be safe out there, have fun, and remember God loves you.❤
breakfast - large black coffee and one small breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and meat Lunch- one bottle of water and a medium chicken salad Dinner- two bottles of water and a veggie with a meat of my choice to go with it and a small coffee if I want energy
Also people that say they don't eat out much (which is true), also have to realize that they can and do make the foods that they ate at least occasionally at home. I make pancakes every now and then. I make grilled/toasted cheese occasionally. I don't usually make the fries, but we will have roasted potato wedges or fried potatoes in butter so except for the breading, it can still add up in calories. And we do order in pizza from time to time, but I know others that make their own. You are still looking at quite a few calories in our diets because of all the starches we eat and the sugar we drink. But just like any statistics out there, there are some that fall into it and others that don't. It's okay for them to make this video. I think a lot of you would be surprised at the number of people that can't cook and will eat out for every meal. But there are also many of us that can cook and do cook on a regular to fairly regular basis. Guys, don't let the comments get you down and keep doing what your doing. It's even eye opening to some American's. Oh there are national days and some international days for all sorts of strange and random things. Go take a look at National Day Calendar. National ice cream days can usually get you a free small ice-cream cone from some participating locations.
I think something that makes me really sad about assumptions regarding us, is that we are undisciplined food hogs that have no idea how to eat properly. Where I am from we don't eat this way and are quite mindful about what we are eating. Plus try to eat healthy but yummy. When I grew up in poverty I didn't get to eat properly but now I have that privilege. Healthy food is a privilege and having time to cook well is a privilege.
Philly Cheese Steak is my favorite Pizza. The "cause" on the bottom are just mozzarella cheese slices that melt and are gooey. Loved all the food facts
Breakfast is usually toast or, yogurt and a coffee, sometimes a sandwich for lunch and a yogurt or sometimes no lunch. For dinner we have a delicious homemade soup, tacos or, chicken and some veggies, my family loves lots of veggies. Sometimes some fish when it’s on sale. Best pizza is the homemade kind and I don’t know anyone that dips their pizza in sauces. Pancakes and sausage gravy and biscuits and big breakfasts like that are for holidays or birthdays. We really try to stay away from processed foods as much as possible. I can’t even remember the last time I cooked bacon for breakfast 🤔. It’s just been too expensive lately I don’t even look in that direction. My family and I haven’t even been to a McDonald’s in over a decade, Juicy’s is the best burgers in east Texas if you’re gonna eat out. I can’t even remember the last time I even had a grilled cheese sandwich, love those with some tomato soup though.
My typical diet Weekday breakfast - Glass of water. Or water and a handful of nuts if my stomach is feeling squirrelly. Weekend breakfast - 2 eggs over easy, couple strips of bacon, and a glass of "Simply Cranberry Juice." Weekday lunch - Glass of water. If I feel I need fuel, then I'll hit Maverick for a Bahama Mama. Weekend lunch - coldcuts sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion along with a glass of water. Made at home Weekday dinner - This is where my calories come from. It's the meal where the whole family is together finally during the day and always cooked at home. We eat a large variety of casseroles, pasta, burgers, tacos, stroganoff, slow cooker stews, and soups... lots of quickly cooked foods that have been pre-prepped the weekend before. And always a vegetable side unless it's soup/stew and has the vegetables in it already. Weekend dinner - Roast and potatoes, steak, chicken and rice, roast turkey or chicken with stuffing, "asian night" (a mix of either eggrolls, wantons, fried rice, chowmein, orange chicken, sweat 'n sour chicken, cashew chicken, lettuce wraps, egg drop, teriyaki...), we also may just do a salad by itself with both lettuce and spinach, meat slices, bell peppers, onions, grated cheese, peas, baby corn, beets, bean sprouts, sesame seeds, dried cranberries or blueberries, avacado slices, and sometimes crispy tortilla strips. Ranch is a favorite with the kids, but my wife prefers catalina or french. And I like vinaigrette. As for desserts, we don't eat them often. Maybe once every couple months. My wife and kids can't eat chocolate as it triggers migraines for them and I think it tastes disgusting so that rules out a lot of traditional desserts. We will eat pie or cobbler occasionally, or bread pudding, sometimes ice-cream. But like i said, never very often.

Anybody who eats out that much will consume excessive calories. We cook at home, and it's actually more healthful than what's represented here. Can't even remember the last time I had McDonalds or even pancakes.
You’ve been in the USA enough times not to even spread misinformation like this
How is this inaccurate?!?!
Just because it’s available in the US doesn’t mean it’s the American diet. I eat salad for lunch every day- so do many. I haven’t had fast food in years
@@MistilynnRichardsonderrrrrr look it up princess
AND NOBODY EATS THREE HEAVY MEALS LIKE THIS IN A DAY!!!! Regardless of what your Internet generated statistics say ... They're wrong! If I had any one of these meals on a given day, I probably wouldn't eat anything else that day!
They ate so carb heavy I felt full!
Great video!!! I died at the “absolutely ✨DEVINE✨” bit with the grilled cheese Sammy 😂💀
That is NOT an average American diet. Way to stereotype. lol
This isn’t a good representation of an average diet. Breakfast is usually a smoothie, pancakes are only for special occasions.
Lmao not in the south it’s not. I don’t think they allow people that drink smoothies for breakfast in MS
I’ve never had a smoothie and I’m 30, eggs hash browns and bacon every single morning, but I make it a burrito.
We had pancakes and bacon this morning and we do so regularly 😂
Actually, a lot of Americans skip breakfast completely
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day.
This video is actually insulting, i can say very little of this is facts as far an average American diet.
That's true!!!
They’re calling you fat and stupid.
I'm an average American and what you are showing does NOT represent what I, or anyone I know, eats on a daily basis. You got this one wrong and are misrepresenting us.
Good for you but yeah, this actually is pretty accurate for a lot of people. Our obesity rates don’t lie.
No it's not the average diet. I haven't eaten fast food in 28 years and go out to eat about 4 times a year. I cook and it's not pancakes.
@@rbfoster Speak for yourself, not everyone else.
What I ate today as an American :
Breakfast - toast with banana and blueberries
Lunch - spanakopita, veggie grape leaves, cucumber & hummus
Dinner - lemon butter salmon w fresh dill & parsley, rice pilaf, carrots & peas 😊 ❤
I do LOVE pancakes w eggs & bacon but that’s a special occasion breakfast… maybe Christmas morning ! Or after a night out drinking 😂 (don’t drink anymore but if I did!)
I’m not really a fan of grilled cheese unless it’s made with really good cheese (Gruyère, Gouda, and or aged cheddar) & must have tomato soup with it, that’s a MUST! You have to dip the grilled cheese in the soup 😉
PIZZA - my fave. If I was trapped on an island and could only eat one thing forever , can’t go wrong with PIZZA 🍕 I know it’s technically Italian but we do it different in America 🇺🇸 ❤
My favorite pizza : bacon, pineapple and jalapeño 🤩
I noticed a lot of Americans in the comments whinging about misrepresentation 😂 I think it would be more fun and interesting if we all posted what we ate today!! And keep it real 😉
Oh and dessert! I didn’t eat dessert today 😢 but yesterday I had a leftover piece of ice cream cake from my husbands birthday celebration - cookies & cream ice cream cake from Dairy Queen… exquisite 😂❤
And as an America I do LOVE bacon 🥓💕🥓💕🥓
I highly recommend you boys go out for some 5* BBQ if you haven’t yet . You will fall in love 😍
My diet is nothing to be proud of, but these ridiculous statistics make me look like Jack Lalanne. 🥦🏃♂️🥕🏋️♀️🍅🤸♂️🥬
In my house
Breakfast is milk for the Little, coffee for the adults.
Most Americans don’t eat like that for three meals out of the day!
Most Americans don't eat like that for 3 meals out of a week!
On a whole I cook everything and we try to eat healthy (cause we are old people😆)
Enjoy your stay in America. We love when you visit🙂
Unfortunate you chose the worst pizza - Dominos! I’m enjoying watching your exploits in real time in America this time around!
I think a video of what you both eat in a day (typically) in the UK would be neat!
But while we enjoy all of these foods, we don't eat like this daily. Yesterday (as an Appalachian)
Breakfast: livermush, 1 egg, swiss cheese, whole wheat toast (as a sandwich with a little scrape of maya and hot sauce)
Lunch: i skipped a proper meal 😅 but my husband ate a pbj at work
Dinner: we DID have pizza. But we made it from scratch to help make it healthier and served it with salad so we would eat less of the pizza.
Both most days, i eat
B: pb toast with a banana
Snack: pb crackers
L: dinner leftovers, like soup with a bit of sourdough to dip.
Snack: low fat cottage cheese with fruit
D: air-fried chicken or steak tips, roasted veggies & diced roasted potato
Diet varies state to state. I certainly have never eaten that much junk, but those are certainly options that many people probably choose to eat.
This is not an average diet. Yes, we'll eat some of what you're showing, but not in the quantities suggested. I don't know anyone who says that way.
Come to Delaware or Pennsylvania get y'all some scrapple and a Philly cheese steak.
I haven't had pancakes for breakfast and probably six months. So no, that's not a normal breakfast.
It's not grease on a grilled cheese sandwich. It's butter. just saying
Not including biscuits and gravy is saddening
(Just kidding I love you guys)
As an American, I approve 👍🏻 thankfully a lot of us don’t eat these things every day though, but it is often
Highly recommend trying steamed blue crabs with old bay seasoning. Or a crab cake. 🦀 it's basically Maryland's state food.
These guys aren't interested in experiencing America. They're interested in misrepresenting us with stereotypes that intellectually lazy foreigners can laugh at while doing the exact same stuff.
A lot of Americans are fat, yes but honestly, I can’t relate to this video at all lol 😂
That Philly pizza looks delicious though, not gonna lie. I am WRECKED if I eat most of that food though - I can’t do it.
You lot should do a tour of the Diners Drive-ins and Dives (found on Food Network).. that would be awesome❣
There is a national day of something/anything in the US lol
And a lot of Brits are also fat. But they like to pretend they aren't. I can't relate either
Ya'll need to spend the day with an average American and eat with them to get a good idea of what the real average American eats in a day. Sure, these are national numbers, but I have never met a single person who has ever had this kind of food all in one day. And I have lived in 5 US regions.
Ive ate this food in a day. Didn't want to eat anything the next day
What’s extremely sad is that they have.

Somehow I knew Mc Donald’s was going to be in this video. No offense, but did you guys get your facts from a Reddit post or something? 😂

Lunch: cheeseburger or chik-fil-a
Dinner: Pizza or BBQ or something like that.
Oh, and a latte at some point in between.
I never eat breakfast and it's been years since I ate a pancake, the last one I had was a German pancake.

Bro y’all can do an entire tour of just breakfast food joints on its own. Theres places I only dream of trying
My meals as an American
Breakfast: cereal with milk, sometimes a full breakfast with pancakes eggs and bacon
Lunch: quesadilla with cheese, hot sauce, and tortilla chips or meat if I happen to have either of those
Or a sandwich with cheese, turkey or ham, mustard, and pickles
Dinner: family recipes most including potatoes and meat in a sauce, with rice and beans, or really simple meals with chicken, potatoes or pasta, and a green vegetable
That's what I eat usually, and sometimes (probably too often but definitely not every day) I get fast food or go to a restaurant.
Thank you

Porkroll egg and cheese! Porkroll is only in few area in northeast area. Its amazing!!
A lot of our calories are consumed through drinks like flavored coffee creamers, alcohol and sodas. Also, a lot of our food and drinks have heavy amounts of corn syrup. We produce so much corn it's cheaper to use corn syrup than sugar in many things.
I guessed pepperoni 😂
I literally ordered Domino’s pizza last night too 😂
So I just wanna point out.

McDonald’s with a Diet Coke has got to be the weirdest thing ever
I cook pancakes on the weekends and sometimes do breakfast for dinner on a busy weeknight. Pizza at least 3 times a month minimum, my favorite is Hawaiian pizza or chicken bacon ranch. And definitely ice cream weekly! 🍦
The average American is not eating fast food everyday or going out to eat. We do make meals and eat at home.
Was that soda for breakfast?? I never eat breakfast at breakfast time and I never eat that many carbs at each meal.
You need to warm the brownie up first to the point the ice cream starts to melt when you put it on top! The taste is very different and delicious!
My typical diet
Weekday breakfast - Glass of water. Or water and a handful of nuts if my stomach is feeling squirrelly.
Weekend breakfast - 2 eggs over easy, couple strips of bacon, and a glass of "Simply Cranberry Juice."
Weekday lunch - Glass of water. If I feel I need fuel, then I'll hit Maverick for a Bahama Mama.
Weekend lunch - coldcuts sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion along with a glass of water. Made at home
Weekday dinner - This is where my calories come from.
