- Kintaro FOR ONCE behaving like a nice kitty kat! This is one of the toughest MK2 speedruns to do and I got insanely lucky to catch perfect Kintaro on this run to clutch out the sub 7:40.
I was suprised to get this run this quick, but I understand that I had incredible luck on Kintaro to make it happen. I expect it is still improvable but unlike Liu Kang I don't know if sub 7 is actually possible. Maybe a low 7:0x at best? .. I guess we'll just have to find out as we go.

Yeah man by far Kintaro in this run! No way to trap him at all, just have to hope the normal method works. I still hope we can find something, but every time I try to look for a new strat I come up empty. It just comes back to the "normal method" which is high RNG. Thank you for the GG's ! These never get old. This is how I tried to play this game back in the 1990s on sega genesis. I wasn’t aware on the cheese strats tho. Also I love how you spam the restart button in the beginning. Reptile is shitwater in this game.
Haha Reptile may be shitwater in PvP but against the AI he can be pretty good! It's a fun run!

Partially. It would still be slower as you don't have access to long range jump kick exploit. It is also a lot harder as the AI in 3.1 has more variable ranges for if it decides to respond with a projectile. Meaning your positioning when doing the force ball has to be far more accurate. It is possible though, I would expect it might be impossible to get sub 8 on 3.1 with those strats.
To clarify, I think the 3.1 route would be to be P1 side and use Jump back exploit to adjust your range and set up the force ball trade loop.

Yeah, the towers are not fully random. There is 5 towers that have a fixed "line up" - Scorpion start, Sub-Zero Start, Baraka Start, Jax start and Raiden Start. It is random which tower you get, but the order of the characters will be the same every time. I had the Sub-Zero start twice in a row before the WR run.
