Including "Equipment" in the "Types" options would significantly enhance cost item details. It would create distinct categories for Labor, Equipment, Material, and Subcontract cost allocation, making it more relevant for larger contractors who prefer a more flexible format over traditional ERP systems.

You could definitely add Equipment within the custom fields then you can sort and filter as needed.

I have a few questions-
1. Does employee time tracking sync into Quickbooks Desktop? If so, does it sync into that employee's timecard?
2. In the Daily Log, are you able to set up alerts/notifications if a particular field (such as jobsite incidents) is completed?
3. Is the initial dashboard view customizable? We are a land services business that mostly services DOT contracts (with minimal subcontractors), but never residential, so the customer facing modules are not something we would ever utilize. Can we eliminate the unused categories from the initial dashboard view?

To answer your questions:
1. Yes, employee hours will push from JobTread to the time activities in QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Yes, you can use Custom Notifications to trigger a notification to certain people when a specific field is updated on a daily log.
3. Your home screen will only show information that applies to you and your business, therefore, any sections that are not relevant to your business will not appear on your home screen.

Can you run more than one business with this software, or would it be a different purchase under different info?

It depends on whether you use QuickBooks and if you have 2 separate QuickBooks accounts for your businesses. This will determine whether you are able to manage both businesses within a single JobTread account or not.
