2024 anyone? Use to listen to this when I got bullied but now stronger than ever!
This video should be mandatory in middle school!..everywhere!!
@@jacquelinehebert4871 You are so right granddaughter gets bullied daily school does nothing
Foi ouvindo essa musica que eu descobri como revidar o ataque de quem me fazia bullying.
Fiquei conhecido como o maluco da escola, mas valeu a pena.
So right I wish this was showed in schools. Such a powerful song :(
Yup.
Where the hell was this song when I was in middle school?!
I know. I would have sung it to them
when i was in eighth grade they actually had the teachers show this song to every class
True... No one cared if I wanted to kms
Hot Doggo I'm sure a lot of people would care.
I know right. I could used that, now i'm in college and the bullys are a distant memory
Not only does this song support literally everyone who’s experienced bullying but this is genuinely one of the catchiest songs I’ve ever heard at the same time.
Take my upvote legend, and good comment lol
Holy sh!t it's you. Never knew you listened to Shinedown. You're awesome, man.

2022 and listen to shinedown, five finger death punch, and seether almost every day! Avenged Sevenfold as well!
Only Shinedown could be this cool while covering a serious topic such as bullying.
The amount of truth this band pumps out is remarkable.
I was a victim of bullying, for some reason everyone at school absolutely hated me, call me names in the halls, throw food at me in the cafeteria, one kid even went as far as making death threats and said no one would miss me because I'm worthless. I've told teachers and even the principal but nothing was ever done, I told my mom but she couldn't do much. Eventually it got so bad my mom had to pull me out of school. I went to a much better one about a year or 2 after and hadn't had any problems, could finish school and graduate in peace. So many times I just wanted to give up and end it all but I didn't, now I'm alive and happy and enjoy my life
Good for you be strong. They are the worthless ones who are going nowhere and want to bring you down. Life sees to it that they get their comeuppance.
I am glad you got to see the peace of the world after going thru hell. You got this, one day at a time.
Girl u are special just know that u must be beautiful something most people hate on be u and don't never change
Prayers to you hope you are doing much better:)

@@chrispurse3931God bless you. I was bullied too
I feel your pain and I definitely understand where it comes from. I was the youngin that got bullied because I was different and had friends that didn’t” look like me “. I did my dances to work hard and not become the first school shooter in my area. Men go through a lot more physically, mentally and emotionally than they let on or show. As a fellow survivor, I’m glad you made it through and I’m proud of you.
Still brings chills down an old man’s spine when I listen. Love it
Hi Donald! If you like you could listen to PENUMBRA - Tormento (Video Lyrics) it's a similar style, maybe you like it too. I'd love to know your opinion about them. Cheers!
I heard this song a couple years ago on the radio and it introduced me to Shinedown
I'm 62 and a job of 27 yrs and was bullied by admin.-- was supported my dept. director and immediate supervisor.. I'm so out of here.. My response to getting a "level" 1st time ever -- I will not be BULLIED !!!
Yuy🎉
I was severely bullied in school cuz I was poor. Well now I can sit back and smile cuz all my bullies are dead. Drug overdose, drunk driving or just bad choices that took their life. Just a faded memory of a bully🤗
You can smile..... But bullies are people who were bullied at home... Likely by they're parent(s). Sad all around
As a former bullying victim, I gotta say this song speaks volumes to those going through bullying. It struck a nerve with me. I was actually bullied by my junior year English teacher who always roughed me up and said I would never amount to anything. I tried telling everyone i knew but no one believed me. Still I survived bullying from the most unlikely of individuals and I owe it all to this song. Now a message to anyone going through bullying right now: you may feel weak and powerless but deep down, you are strong and powerful. So stand up for yourself and prove those bullying you wrong.

I got you fam. I was bullied until 10th grade. Hard. 10th grade I became 6'2", about 180 lbs. N/A fat on the machine from my high school. I never got bullied after they recognized fear. 99% of bullies are just cowards who can't face their own life. I was bullied from a few people. Family, classmates, and my older sister who was a whore. I've moved out of Missouri and now living in Massachusetts as a researcher for different colon cancers. Screw those guys, they are just jealous of what you are actually worth.
Oh, 9th grade I was about 5'5" and 100 lbs

Listening to this is a release of feelings on how I feel inside towards my older brother who molested me from the time I was 12yrs old until I was 16. I felt like I couldn't tell anyone because everyone looked at us as such a "perfect family".

this song is so amazing for so many reasons.
I wish this song came out when I was at least 12 or 11 because shit that's when I needed it the most 😐
Luna Flores, me too.
Panhead Josh awe you're still a baby, listen to me okay do not let them rule you, you do you. there words don't mean shit. if anything you're gonna rise and they're just gonna fall.
+Luna Flores they are douche bags and they don't care about what they are doing i was bullied too. then it all stopped when i grew up and when i didn't listen to them they are just sinning and they are going to pay for it one day because they are going to mess with the wrong kid and that was my bullies mistake. violence is not a good solution but if you put up with it from 2nd grade to 10th grade then it gets fucking annoying and they are asking for trouble. i believe in you +Panhead Josh don't listen to them
Don't just let them do it for any reason, stand up for yourself and fight, surround yourself with friends, and beat them.
If they are bullying you, then they are the ones who are asking to get their asses kicked.
DON'T BE SCARED!
Screaming4Fame I never tolerated bullys, I always was fighting them.. Defending the Weaker kids, after being bullied myself one day I said No more.. and when that happened it changed my life for the better and helped others along the way.. Started in School through high school and adulthood. I made a stand.
man, I wish I knew this song last year. I've been listening to Shinedown my whole life. I didn't know this song existed. I went through terrible bullying last year and maybe attempted a few times. hearing this song was a life changer. not only did they cover a serious topic, but they also didn't make it disrespectful. last year, the bullying was so bad that I thought I was alone. I thought the world didn't need me. shinedown, seether, three days grace, and 10 years got me out of that mindset. kudos to them. and if you have that mindset, just know, that your not alone and people do love you.
This song will always have a special place in my heart as I was bullied a lot for just being different
Same here. Glad Shinedown has helped you in some way and it's just makes me smile to know that there bands like this who are willing to bring others up even if it's just through releasing music videos like this.

Life lesson everyone: DON'T BULLY ANYONE, YOU DUMBFUCKS(this goes out to all bullies out there)
Bullying can kill, and it needs to stop. School and state officials need to press charges and fight along side the parents of the poor child that is getting tormented
+Aatxe Owner[THEM] i for one prefer a good challenge i don't back down from a fight not unless i need to do so
+Nicole L Or grab a fire extinguisher and fight back.
+Destin Wilcoxson Nah I have my trusty chair
+Angie K Bullying is never going to stop. It's that simple. Instead schools need to quit telling us that we should "Walk away" or even dumber "Ignore it." We need to be told to fight back and make it clear to the bully that they are at the same level as everyone else. Unfortunately thanks to the school board were learning so much academic and so little life skills. The more a victim ignores it the more they silently suffer until they breakdown...school shootings, suicide etc.
+Aatxe Owner[THEM] apparently you're not a parent. Kinda hard for a child to fight back when they are the ones that get punished for it
when this song came out I had already suffered bullying since I was in first grade. I finally had an anthem that pumped me up for school and it all of a sudden became water on a ducks back and I didn't cower I fought back amd got in my bullies faces and they finally left me alone
nikki nolan I had to deal with bully's too. This song is awesome

-“bullies aren’t always flesh and blood”
I remember back when I was bullied hardcore. I had some friends who turned on me and started bullying me. And when I got a really good friend they moved. And when I saw one of my old friends being pushed down to the dirt and being punched I decided ''He may be an asshole but none else is getting bullied on my watch.'' And I sprinted and pushed the bully away and got ontop of him and shouted into his face ''Are you done!?'' right into his face. After that I kept fighting back against the bully and I still do. Heard that bully!? I'm waiting for you! To this day I still deal with mental problems but its worth it to see my bully defeated once again.

The first time I heard that line I just broke out in tears. It was weirdly surreal. I had this flash-back rolling through my mind like a television highlight blooper special. Not funny or comfortable but ackward and embarrassing. The pain, sadness, and insecurities given to me as a child and a teenage girl now felt so intense. I feel so incredibly sad for the innocent girl that I was but there is a new sense of pride. Proud because I'm still here and I have 2 fabulous self-confident, kind, loving, etc.. children I raised. Of course others helped in the raising of them but I'm their Mom. And now I'm a Gramma as well. I do have some mental health issues and the sadness is still there but it has to take turns with some happiness now. So... I win.
Thank you Eduardo for such kind words.
That line also hit home with me, because that's what basically happened. I was teased and such until I finally hit a point where I didn't care anymore. Sad point to hit really.
The comments made here by everyone have touched my heart. I really didn't think anyone would read my little blurb let alone take time to say something supportive. Very unexpected but very much appreciated.
(It's great that the problems caused by "Being Bullied" are starting to be acknowledged and taken seriously. And thank you Shinedown, you created a powerful song.)
Julie M well I have been bullied to the point where I want to kick ass

The line "no one's gonna die on the very day you die, you're a bully" is so damn cathartic it makes my chest swell up with such emotion. Wish I could've had the courage to use that line when I was young and weak. Bullying sucks and the wounds don't go away. That last bit with the kids voices coming in and banding together, that's what every bullied kid hopes for but so rarely gets (a strong support group).

I dedicate this song to my mom, who has not been there for me for 7+ years, who I recently took my time to see, and all she could do was laugh at me for being a disgrace. i am not the disgrace, i am an innocent 18 year old who doesnt have anything to do with drugs and alcohol, she should look at herself and think about her actions and her bad choices and how they affected her life as well as her 7 kids.
This song literally got me through and out of an almost 20 year abusive marriage. I would sing/scream this song at the top of my lungs. What an amazing song. Shinedown will never realize what this song did for so many people.

This song helps me deal with everything from being bullied everyday. I hate bullies, and sometimes I want to end it. But that's not the way to go, bullying needs to stop. So many deaths from bullying, all because people feel they need to be hateful. I know what it's like to be bullied, I have been for the past 6 years. Talking always helps, but this song is so meaningful
+x1Prodigyx for your information I've been physically abused by my mother and her boyfriend for the past 6 years. you don't know what I go through. please take your hate elsewhere.
Talking never helped for me. Sounds like I've been through the same shit. My recommendation: shut it down. Go numb. I can't really explain it, but you can use it to make your mind sharp, and none of it bothers me any more.
And learn how to fight, it'll serve you well for the rest of your life.
im bullied by stupid people because they hate me becuase they are not popular like me. and im not tyring to be selfish but really i agree that bulling should stop becuase i hate it so much i just that i cry every night. when i become a police i am going to make sure everyone is nice to everyone.
My parents can be bully's telling me how I am too sensitive when they say something too shit or that I am stupid for how I feel or think what's more fucked up they are nice most of the time but when they be this way to me I this want to hit them I live in dysfunctional family
Also kid I understand how you feel I was bullied in school from grade school to high school I want you know you will learn from all the bullshit they did to you remember you perfect this way you are anyone who tells you you are stupid and or fat or loser or whatever they this mad because they are not you remember God made you image of him he loves you and cares for you believe me bully's have special place in hell All bully's are demons trying take away what god give you they are piece of shit nobody's they have no life no love for anyone except themselves this song reminds me how far I have come those bully's who bullied me they will pay for what they did to me remember prove them wrong they tell you you can't do something prove them all wrong do whole 180 on them then when you make to your dreams they will pretend give a shit this get taste of your success but dot let them have any
I just love Shinedown they empower me. My bully was in my home growing up....
I was the guy in school that got along with the jocks, the nerds, and the geeks. I was the one made sure people didn't get picked on. It was a small school, but everyone knew that they would have to deal with me and my buddies if they did so.
We need more people like you. This world is cruel and we need better.

Seek I encourage self-defense. if the bully in any way tries to hurt me, I kick his butt. People say I'm not doing the right thing and I'm all like, so I was supposed to get my butt kicked. kids of this generation, if someone hits you or tries to physically hurt you, fight back. don't let yourself be the wimp
Excactly
fuck ya brother that is what my dad says and im 14 so i know what your talking about bro if someone hits me get ready to get your ass beat unless it is someone 2 times as stronger then me
true, i "fought" two kids in 3rd grade that tried to "jump" me
the "fight" lasted for like, 2 to 6 seconds i think xD
My parents used to always tell me that. If someone hurts me first, then I should hurt them back. I couldn't make myself do such a thing. Myself now, I still don't think I can. I just.. I dunno. I'd rather take a dozen hits then hurt someones feelings.
Ciel Phantomhive i dont hurt their feelings. i couldn't give a crap about their "feelings". i hurt them physically. there is nothing emotional about it
My biggest regret isn't what other people did to me, it was the fact that I let them. You can't change anyone else but I should have changed myself.
+NobodyNaboru That's exactly how I feel, if only we could go back in time...
Exactly, not to please others but as a person you should strive to be the best version of yourself I think.

+Daniel Drumond I see it as don't change yourself to make others happy, but change yourself so that you can deal with it
+NobodyNaboru Yeah, same here.
my fav part 3:21 with all the people singing too
Don't be a Victim to anyone, bullies are weak, once you stand up for yourself once and pray for gods protection and guidance.
we don't have to take this shit from bullies lets take a stand
never understood why when you're the one getting bullied in school, noone would lift a muscle ...but damn, when u've had enough and decide to fight back.....all hell break loose and then you're the bad guy lol
Bourne Toulouss It always has to be like that, as long as you throw the first punch then it's your fault...They dont care if you were bullied at all
Bourne Toulouss , that's because most bullies are the Football payers who are treated like Gods in school. Or the popular kids who teachers and administration think can do no wrong. Or the kids with wealthy parents who have influence in the school. They can basically do whatever they want. But you can't do anything to them. It's the old double standard play. ALL schools do it.
theclassicgamer I'm a football player and we don't get treated like gods sorry to disappoint
theclassicgamer yeah football players get scrutinized with everything we do. We get graded harder, watched with every step we take, word we say, and breath we take. Everyone believes that we get it easier but we do not. If anything we have it harder. We are held to higher expectations are scrutinized daily for it
Bourne Toulouss I have an expression for that, the one that hits gets the shits, happened to me every time I tried to fight back I was the one who received punishment.
No parent or guardian should be blind to the enemies and/or anyone who is negatively affecting their child or children or ward. Amen.
When I was at my other school, I was bullied day in and out. It was even worse at home because my parents would constantly torment me. It all eventually lead to me trying to take my own life. I feel very happy that I survived and now I live with other family and things are far better up here
that's one of the best screams i've heard.
Haha
I see you're a fan of TDG?
ALTADILL YUSTE June A HUMAN OF TASTE
@ALTADILL YUSTE June me three!
In the back you can hear that all the voices at the end are all children. Shows that even though they may grow old but the tormented child they once where will always be there
bella millican I never thought of it that way.
I noticed that
wrong i was bullied as a kid and the best thing that came from this hell i went through is it made me TOUGH!
PEOPLE STARTED FIGHTS WITH ME AS I GREW INTO A TEENAGER AND I FINISHED THEM ALL EVERYTIME PERIOD!
DONT MESS WITH A BULLIED KID
END OF STORY😊
My brother was one of the kids at the end of the track singing with the band. He said recording it was absolutely powerful and amazing ♥️
ME BEING ADULT ,I GET BULLY, MADE FUN OF BECAUSE I CANT SAY WORDS RIGHT, I GET LAUGH AT, MADE FUN OF IN FRONT OF OTHER'S. MY JOB THE PEOPLE WHO I WORK WITH BULLY ME EVERY NIGHT THEIR TIME I DONT EVEN WANT TO GO TO WORK. BEING ADULT IT IS HARD BE BULLY, BUT BRING A CHILD BE BULLY REALLY GETS TO ME.PEOPLE NEED TO STOP IT TO MANY KIDS DIE DO TO BEING BULLY AM SO GLAD YOU CAME OUT WITH IT.
I gotta be honest Pam. Reading this comment, I can understand why people bully you for the way you talk… the fuck language are you speaking?
I was bullied from sixth grade til my junior year of high school, it only ended when I decided that I was going to put a stop to it. the "normal" routine was after school I would get beat down until they had their fill(it was like this for 5 years) so I got tired of it and my junior year I decided enough was enough and I lost it. I wish I could have seen the look on their faces when I straight up beat the main antagonizer into the ground. I beat on him for a good ten minutes, it wasn't until the school cop pulled me off of him that I realized how much damage I did(he lost three teeth and had to have his jaw wired together), after that I never had a problem with them.
I hate to say it but sometimes fighting back works, I'm not saying it works 100% of the time but sometimes it does. just remember being bullied is a temporary problem. suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, it's not worth the hurt that you'll cause your loved ones.
I've done that before they still bully me
Seth Brand i'm not saying what i did will work for everyone, i'm just saying what worked for me.
violence should be your last option, i was almost expelled from school because of what i did. if it hadn't been for the whole thing being recorded on the school security cameras, i could have faced criminal charges.
i know it may seem like it won't end, but remember it does get better.
I like violence i
+Seth Brand
It might not work all the time, but if anything is gonna work it's fighting back. It's the only way. You did the right thing.
+Draconian Hunter Lmao, that guy totally deserved it
Feel like this would be more effective to show in schools rather than those dumb short films about bullying
As a former bully who was bullying people because i was bullied myself, i love this song and want to say "sorry for what i did to you' every time i here this song.
I was violent because i was violented, that sux. Sorry to everyone i've hurt in my life.
Great song, remind me of my young year. I was 22 years old at when the some was aired, the time when the neo-metal wave (even if it was soft metal for me) told me that you don't need to hurt anyone even if someone hurt you. That's logical since i'm an adult but when i was 15 years old that was difficult to manage. Keeping what this anger that other people gave me was so hard. Now when someone try to hurt me for free, i am sad for them because i know something goes wrong for them.
And i use thai boxing i've learned after college if they are too dangerous. I'm not jesus, slap me and i'll fuck you up.
Owning up to our mistakes makes us stronger. Good job for recognizing yours. You seem like you’ve become a decent man.
It's been 2 years but I hope you're doing OK. It's great to see something from the other side and seeing someone improve and coming back from their mistakes. Don't let these mistakes get you down though, you aren't the only one who's made this mistake. There are so many people out there just like there who are strong enough to break those vices. I might not be someone you've hurt, but I forgive you.
Have a good rest of your day and year.
My heroes forever ❤️🖤
I’m seeing shinedown tomorrow and I’m so pumped, I got pit tickets!!!!!!!!!
Im thinking of a bully in my life and im way past school years. Im 42 w a baby. This song is powerful. Whenever this harrasser bothers me i listen to this and imagine our lives free fr him.
This is the number one anti-bully song I have ever heard. What really sucks is when u do tell a teacher or a principal or assistant principal, it makes it so much worst. I had to step up for my 8th grade daughter twice because the first time they didn't care and didn't do much the second time, second time around it was football players saying they were going to hurt her she was 6th grade they were 8th grade I had to threaten with legal matters if the boys touch my daughter, the law would be informed4
This song was fire af at rocklahoma
I have a grandson who has been bullied at school and I played him this song which he loves Shinedown but he hadn't heard this one and I played it for him and he looked at me and said I know what to do now grandma. These guys just don't know how much their music have helped alot of people in alot of ways love these guys
I was in a mental hospital when I heard of this song, my friend Trista sang it to me so I could sleep
I hope you're doing much better. Best of wishes from North Eastern USA
Hope ya doing better
same
Ok then
That is a good friend you have there
This song was part of my struggle against my demons. Thank you, Brent Smith, and all Shinedown's members for touching my heart and giving me so many good moments. God Bless you all, always. Keep rocking!
Shinedown is far under-rated. If people heard the lyrics or the music, they would be even more loved.
For those who think this song causes fear of bullies, try listening to the lyrics again. It is from the point of view of those being bullied. It shows what the first emotion is, the first is the hell they are feeling and going through and what bullying COULD do. BUT the song also speaks directly to the bullies out there and shows those being bullied standing up for themselves. It is a song of encouragement for those going through this hell, not a tool of fear. It is a message to those who would bully of where they really stand in life as long as they remain the way they are.
If you've ever been on the receiving end, you pick up on Jacob's point quickly! Really enjoy this song.
Steve Jones Not really sure if I have but been close.its not fun
***** Well said
Michael Pachta Hi :). Yeah I totally agree!
hi and thank you :)
This song holds a lot of meaning to me. I have a cousin who used to be a bully. One night over a few beers we spoke. I told him how I felt and he understood. Now we are good friends. Something I haven't felt in years. Thank you Jesus for that blessing.
This song gave me the courage to stand up to Bullies and Jerks, there's been a time when I was at school where I had this guy, he was fucking around with me as normal bullies do, until I said, "Hey, do we have a problem? Do you want to handle it outside?" He said yes and we were going out to the hallways until he quickly sits back down and says, "Just joking I don't want to fight you." That shows me that this bully was in reality a coward, thank you Shinedown for making this song that gave me the courage to take on bullies.
This is one of the best bands in the world. Shine Down kicks azz.
You're never gonna fit in much, kid.
But if you're troubled and hurt, what you got under your shirt
Will make them pay for the things that they did.
Wrong band
that's fucking mcr
Nope, Shinedown actually did it first, then MCR did a cover of it.
fucken right! amen
WTF are you trying to do get kids killed you got a nerve. It may just be horrible in Middle School but High School is where you can flourish
This is a great & unique song & for a purpose of this world we live in. I never had or been a Bully I took up for ppl I knew & took care of the problem myself not lying I care for everyone & love this song! Keep them coming! God Bless You All 🕸❤🕸
Just went to a concert in 2022 and they played it and it was awsome.
Heck yeah!
2012?! Man I thought this was 1980s or 1990s. That is some good music for 2012!!! It was so good I thought it was in the 80s era of music. The golden years of music. I love this song but didn't know it was no new or newish.
Love this song. Overpowering...don't let those words hurt. They don't know you, only you know you and you should know who or what you are. Words are words..
***** You too, thank you for your encouraging words my dear friend. Always brings a smile to my face. :)
Love your post..so true!
Sometimes you gonna fight and stand tall towards the meanest kids in school
Lyrics for anyone that wants them:
It’s 8 AM, this hell I’m in
Seems I’ve crossed a line again
For being nothing more than who I am
So break my bones and throw your stones
We all know that life ain’t fair
But there’s more of us we’re everywhere
We don’t have to take this back against the wall
We don’t have to take this we can end it all
All you’ll ever be is a fading memory of a bully
Make another joke while they hang another rope so lonely
Push them to the dirt till the words don’t hurt can you hear me
No one’s gonna cry on the very day you die you’re a bully
Think it through you can’t undo
Whenever I see black and blue I feel the past, I share the bruise
With everyone who’s come and gone
My head is clear my voice is strong, now I’m right here to right the wrong
We don’t have to take this back against the wall
We don’t have to take this we can end it all
All you’ll ever be is a fading memory of a bully
Make another joke while they hang another rope so lonely
Push them to the dirt till the words don’t hurt can you hear me
No one’s gonna cry on the very day you die you’re a bully
It’s 8 AM, the hell I’m in
Your voice is strong, now right the wrong
All you’ll ever be is a fading memory of a bully
Make another joke while they hang another rope so lonely
Push them to the dirt till the words don’t hurt can you hear me
No one’s gonna cry on the very day you die you’re a bully
All you’ll ever be is a fading memory of a bully
Make another joke while they hang another rope so lonely
Push them to the dirt till the words don’t hurt can you hear me
No one’s gonna cry on the very day you die you’re a bully
We don’t have to take this back against the wall
We don’t have to take this we can end it all
Damn these words are strong and so true
There is no greater high than the first time you pop a bully in the mouth and see him cry.
