The Math Map at Home! Week 1 Day 1

Hey all!
This is certainly not perfect, and I am definitely lead learning, but since everyone’s been wondering what TMM looks like at home, here’s my kids and my first sit-down with it today. (The girls did Naturals back in Feb, but this is the boys’ first time.)
My eldest is 7th (ChA), my second is 3rd but has double deficit dyslexia so I opted to do Naturals with her rather than Fractions because I feel like that best meets where she is, my older son is 2nd (also double deficit dyslexic) and doing Naturals, and my youngest is 1st and doing Naturals.
The first week is a lot of reading so they were a little antsy, especially when I brought out the camera. Ha.
Looking forward to trying this again next week when we get through all the intro, have some routine under our belt, and get to dive into some worksheets.
My focus in this video was to get them talking, thinking, and wondering and I think they did a great job! Hope this encourages you!

Thanks for sharing with us. We too don’t have the correct domain avaliable for everyone in our family but based on what I’ve seen, even working with a lower domain, they are going to learn sooo much about math- we are really excited about a classical math program.
