pretty cool you can even here them disconnect from the autopilot on approach, that was some amazing sound clarity and beautiful visuals of course!
This is completely magnificent! I can put my nose to the window and recognize landmarks as the jet circles. And it isn't too noisy, it's authentic! An intense and enjoyable nine and a half minutes!
Absolutely speechless. Breathtaking.
This is awesome and such a relaxing video. Love the lights and cabin sounds.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
It will always be called McCarran International!
True dat!
THATS WHAT I KEEP TELLING EVERYONE LIKE IDGAF WHAT YOU THINK ITS NOT HARRY REED ITS MCCARRAN
Truly incredible view! THanks!
It looks so magical at night.
Great shot of my house in Henderson! 👍🏼👍🏼
Spectacular visuals! I did not realize that it was such a large city. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Vegas is in a valley, surrounded by desert mountains.
I know what you mean by that!
I’ve been there last week and have the same feeling on arrival, didn’t realize the city is that big
@@HoolaaBaalooalmost 2.9 Million of us here in the Vegas Valley!!
Unbelievable! I am so addicted to lights and this blew my mind. Thank you so much!
Fantastic video
Thanks for posting
that was fire
Really nice capture! You don’t normally see this view. Well done!
y not? 90% + time clear skies in las V
@@jrnumex9286 I think he means normally you don't see it from over head
like a couple 1000 feet in the air
Thanks for great video, ❤
Excellent! Loved it!
Incredible video! This is a challenging video to take at night as there is usually a reflection from the planes interior lights. Great job!
nicely done.. really awesome video...and I live here,..Vegas does look beautiful from up high at night.
Great vid and what a great landing!!
Wish I was there🥲So Gorgeous 🎉
Great video. Reminds me of the many times that I have flown into there.
I love flying into Vegas at night. It’s like an island in a sea.
9th Island!!!
Amazing video and view of las vegas. Would love to visit one day
Stunning stuff you guys got room for me I love it ❤
You did a great job of capturing las vegas at night that is the best view when you bank in before you come in.
Amazing video, thanks.
I love that city! ❤ Something for everyone.
Nice job!✈️🎰🎲
Fantastic clarity
The sound is fine, really cool. Makes me want to fly somewhere, sitting on top of two or 4 high-bypass turbofans.
I remeber being 40 miles outside of Vegas on a roadtrip a few years ago. It was 2:30 in the morning on the interstate and everything on our right was pitch black, and off in the distance to the left was this glow, and that was the city.
Coyotes in the headlights
Yeah, I remember those days
Ive seen that too!
Its still beautiful, I haven't been there in a long time,❤
Great vid 😮
The dessert is so large around vegas .
Entertainment capital of the earth. 🎉👯♀
We landed in Vegas once in a thunderstorm. It was lightning all over the place. Then right before we got to the airport torrential rain. And when they ran the thrust reversers water flew 60 feet in the air. Yhat was the highlight of the flight watching that water fly.
Beautiful!!
I've never been to Vegas. Thank you from Tennessee 😊
You’re not missing much.
You couldn’t pay me to go.
@@MichaelInTheDesert True dat!
A very spectacular video! I flew to Las Vegas last month on a night flight out of Ontario International Airport(ONT) to Harry Reid Airport(KLAS) and I had similar views on the way in! It gives you a whole different perspective of the city with this kind of a view. Great shot of the strip!
MSFS looking good as always!
This is real. It was recorded with an iPhone 14 Pro Max with ProRes turned on at 24fps.
@@flightseeingwithphotomatt oh wow very impressive
Truly called city of lights.
Nice view of Sunset Station and Galleria Mall at 7:19.
An excellent night view. It just shows how remarkably small The Strip is compared to the rest of the city, and of course, how it instantly stands out. What percentage of all visitors to this city spend almost 100% of their time in The Strip?
always interesting to see Las Vegas at night when flying in, all the darkness of the Nevada desert and then bam, the bright lights of the city and mainstrip.
I only visit Vegas once and it was a blast! One thing I not hear on video is the constant happy talking with giggling😄then when you deplane you can hear the slot machines walking through the gangway to the gate!😋 but I never flew at night so really love this landing👍 btw..the trip home..was so quiet..people looking sad..I wonder why😄
Was always funny how the plane ride to Vegas was all happy and fun, but the ride home was eerily quiet. Lol
@@westsparks6844 EXACTLY😄
Like little kids leaving from your best friends house and you have school in the morning lol
I love flying into Vegas at night.
Impressive HDR. I just don't find the view from the human eye to look so vivid.
Those lights reminded me of the scene. This is the end.
Cars always seem snail-slow when watching them at night from an airliner.
nice nigth ..i like it ........
Nothing like crisp views with the extreme low humidity
I see the IKEA.. wild to me how it looks like a island of lights since the city has very defined boundaries.
Amazing shots of an amazing place ! 👍
Lived there for 15 years. I miss the old Vegas. I could still see where my house was out by Sunrise Mountain.
Nice, I've been there many times. Very nice, brilliantly lit up at night.
Nebraska Farm Girl in HI
@@paullapinski2077 Nice
Yeah......I miss the days when the Mafia ran things here. We could use them back here to clean things up.
@@frankgrimesification They could start by changing the name back to McCarran. Harry Reid? GTFO.
When you see how big that area really is
And the main strip is really noticeable
I was there when everything was small,
& so was I.
we"re moving up the world
I moved to Vegas in 1986, around 150-200k people, now we are over 2.2 million people and they wonder why the water in Lake Mead is going down. That’s not counting a 100K tourist each day, using the restroom and the laundry plus the shower. That water won’t last forever.
Flying at night from east coast I’m always a little amazed at how the plane found Las Vegas.
What's so different about how they "find" Vegas as opposed to "finding" any other city a plane is flying to? The ATC system is the same regardless of what city pairs a plane is flying between. You dig?
@@frankgrimesification it wasn’t meant to be technical. I know they have radar and auto pilot. It was just a reference to today’s technology. They used to have to fly during daylight hours and look for landmarks. Don’t take things so literally so you can show how SMART you are.
@@countalucard4226 Can't help it---people like you make it so easy! And how long has it been since pilots used landmarks and the stars to navigate, like 100 years ago (literally)? There's something called the 21st century---look into it!
Ok Grimesey.
During this video, gamblers in the city probably lost more than 1 million. Truth!
Nice video from the skies.
Probably lost the same to the loose slots.
Actually, there was probably one or more individuals who lost that much in just minutes.
McCarran. I refuse to call it that man’s name.
Night landings are really cool! I’m always happy though when I see the runway lights slowing down! 😊
Las Vegas is a very well-lit city! Just imagine the power savings if twenty-five percent of these lights were extinguished!
Hey.... I can see my house in Mtns. Edge at Blue Diamond & Buffalo !!!!!
Super clear footage! I could see MGM right away! Sweeeeeeet! Who will join me for some blackjack?😊
My next holiday desination in 2024
Great video. I could see my house. 😀
You mean the tunnel? 😂
@@namjanamja747 Not since I left your mom.
Uh I think Vegas has changed a little since I was there last. Last time thru it was still the old Vegas of 1972.
I was here in 1967,
In time to watch Evel
Kenevil jump, over the fountains
There's been a lot of changes since then
LOL DESERT LOOKS LIKE THE OCEAN AT NIGHT
its weird seeing all those lights and just a sea of black sorrounds it all
Yes, that’s the Pacific Ocean
@@jasminespencer3992 thats not what i meant
ocean(?)...😂😂😂.... Vegas is in the middle of desert !!!!!!
It’s the abyss. Those that venture into the darkness never return.
@@Al-hf3iz What happens in the abyss, stays in the abyss
I seriously thought this was FS2020 with dubbed audio at first. 😂😂😂
Its looks so peacefull and bright from above...like an island between the darkness. When in fact plenty of mafia kind of sh..is happening right there at that very moment...
very cool. :)
At 0:30...the city grid layout....first established 2,000 years ago by the Roman military.
Problem with landing at night is the line for Taxis is huge.
Espectacular👌🏻
i wonder how big Vegas will expand into the desert from all sides over the coming years.
So weird to see the airport being the dark spot in the middle of the city. Usually is the opposite.
Vegas at night - same as when the sun goes supernova.
...My adopted home....LAS VEGAS.!!!.....324 K views.!!!!😏...unbelievable.!!!❤💛💙 !!!
Thanks For Sharing😊First Video I Have Ever Seen Of Any Night Flight & Landing😊/Always Wondered What It Would Look & Be Like❤
Prawie jak w symulatorze lotu. Widoki miasta działają na wyobraźnię.
Why did they change the name of McCarren to Harry Reid?
Typical lib reasoning. “McCarran was a rAcIsT!” Senator McCarran was one of the best US Senators in US History and by far the best Senator from Nevada.
And no wonder why there's a water shortage. Look at all the homes!
Sweet. Was there last week. Such a cool city
tbh I thought it was Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020! I've been irl and flown this using MSFS and it's hard to tell the difference. Great video. Saw some familiar sights from your flight.
LH Downwind ILS RWY 26L
I have a MSFS 2020 channel 👩✈
@8:38 you can just about hear the pilot disconnect the autopilot.
I’ll always call it McCarran.😢
Everyone I know calls it McCarran
Yeah...me too. Will always be McCarran.
Great night video. Handheld? You filmed through the window, how come no reflection from the cabin light on the window? Subbed you.
The cabin lights were turned off right before I started filming. The phone was hand held.
Look at that

I can see that you're coming in from the west & flying past the airport, making a 180° & landing from the east on runway 26Left. What city you flying in from?
Orange County, CA
Not OP:
I fly in from Monterey, CA - always at night (this view is always spectacular!!). I must always be on the wrong side of the plane, but I don't recognize that 180 fly around. Luckily, the landing is SO EXCITING! I can't wait for my next trip to Vegas :)
That looks pretty. How long is the flight?
Depends where you are flying from 😊
Orange County, CA
45 minutes or less from Orange County.
Like a big computer chip
the desert looks like the sea. perfect
what camera was used??😍
iPhone 14 Pro Max shooting in 24fps RAW
I took some clips recently at The Cure concert on my 13 Pro using ProRaw and was blown away by the results. It’s amazing what these phones are capable of… and while being essentially a point and shoot.
What make and model of airplane was this?
Airbus A320
That landing looked very smooth compared to mine there 2 years ago lol, I think the crew was eager to get home 😂
I've seen this view at night before. Its quite a site to be sure.
So overview - they are flying east from west….made a base over Henderson/east las vegas then a final on sunset blvd to Harry Reid
Yeah....Flights from the north and west do this approach.
@@frankgrimesification yup
So this is where the aliens crashes landed...
Area 51 where that supposedly happened is about 150 miles north of Vegas.
