My problem is that it’s only men. Where r their wives and sisters? I see lines and lines in Europe and not even 5% is women. Where r they?

This is just going to get worse and worse. We need a solution to help these people stay in their own countries with hope. Its just going to get bigger and bigger and even the people with more empathy will start to change heart.
Dictators and corruption with plenty of foreign businesses that go along with it as long as there is money to be made.
As climate change gets worse there will be many, many more refugees. We can't just turn our backs on them.

I'm from Libya and I'm sorry to see and hear what these people had to go through , and what they suffered from being in libya .
but also the world should know what is happening in Libya and the amount of people coming in to the country from all the other countries , Libya is a country that is tarred a part by war , the government has no way to control the sures by itself without international help >>>> hope everyone reaches there destination safe .... everyone deserves a better life

Everyone deserves a better life, so everyone should start working for it in their own home countries. Living in Europe is not a basic human right.

@@mohandhanoa4797 They do not have the resources or power to make their corrupt countries into a prosperous one. It is very easy to say this from the comfort of a democratic country with systems in place that allow for change to happen. You would not last a day in Libya.

Yes, but most of these men go and find some labor work and send money home to their wives and children. It's not easy to do this, and it would be much harder if a bunch of children were there. Children also tend to be much closer to their mothers so it simply makes more sense for the men to go.
The bottom line of all this is money, these economic migrants want European money.
Educated men need to stay and make the country a better place. Do not run away. They are fighting with the sea.Each action has consequences.

Lack of contraception, lack of education, also different systems in different countries. The elderly are forgotten about in third world countries and rely on their children for financial aid as such. Hope this makes it easier to understand
Because whats the point of life without the bond of being apart of a family, a life void of connection in an already cruel world. A life void of pleasure in the little moments, of compassion and grace,. It’s instant purpose. You also don’t have many alternative methods of pleasure when you don’t have a computer that you can watch UA-cam on all day so man’s probably boning as a pass time

The government of Qatar should stop inciting hatred and contempt for homosexuals. It is not enough to allow the rainbow flag to be raised in stadiums. Rather, they should abolish the prison sentence for homosexuals. Thank you so much to Doctors Without Borders for rescuing these people from drowning (and cruelty in Lybia).
And thank you, The Guardian, for making these people's suffering and the human rights violations, they are subjected to, visible.
Terrified of the backlash this will cause in Italy. I fully hope these refugees find a safe and secure home, but Berlusconi and Salvini are already on the rise...I pray this doesn't lead to their ascent to leadership.
Then support action that allows these people to re-take their rightful homes.
