Get out of the cities. Kindness is more prominent in the rural and semi rural areas. Small towns have the best service and are kinder, at least in my experience. 😊

Grace ia an amazing woman. She is hard working and kind. Grace to help that young child show what type of person is she. The manager of the restaurant is so cruel and unkind who fired her. But kindness to others will always bring blessing. God bless Grace for her compassion toward that young child and others. She is one in a million.

It's admirable that she was willing to help little Billy. A person's character is more important than what he or she looks like. Personally I believe the manager's actions in firing Grace showed he was more concerned in her doing her job rather than making a child with a disability feel more comfortable in the situation he was in

Kindness, respect, and values are everything! Sadly, it is lost by many humans! Especially many in positions. The patrons who were in the restaurant when the incident happened should've walked out! That manager is not only unprofessional, very unkind, and not human, and probably with hidden hatred within himself.

Did the manager understand The meaning of her name Grace. She applied Grace to another human being that's what the little boy needed. The manager must understand that grace is a human being and she Attend To the needs of another human being. She's not only there to get food but to serviyes the needs of other human being me. She is available employee so he should have been. Applaud in her what she did will go a long way to others. We must always help one another no matter the need.

A restaurant is all about service. Not just the food offered but the interaction between customers and those waiting on them. The wait staff can literally make or break a restaurant by the way they treat the customers, causing some to eat elsewhere if they are treated poorly.
Those in that restaurant witnessed that boy have a panic attack and how he was treated by Grace. They couldn't help but form an opinion right then and there. The fact that no one complained about Grace taking time to help calm the boy, should have been a signal to the manager that the other customers admired what Grace was doing.
The manager of that restaurant was not service orientated, but only concerned with the daily profits. His idea of service was squeed in the direction of his ego. He was the manager of a well known restaurant after all.
His mantra was one of the quicker the customer was served, the quicker they ate, the more customers would take their place. And the more he would make.
What he didn't understand is that how people are treated at a restaurant is also part of the experience being in the restaurant. A good experience means customers are likely to return. A poor experience and they'll eat somewhere else. Because he repremanded Grace in front of the entire restaurant, and fired her that day, he instantly created a poor experience for those witnessing what he did.
At the time, he didn't care what the other customers thought of his actions, he was only interested in an employee who wasn't doing the job she was hired to do. Because he didn't realize that part of a service job was to be kind to others, he saw Grace's actions as a loss of profit.
It wasn't said in the story, but the restaurant's numbers had to have fropped once the story of Grace hit the internet. Which also meant a loss of profits. That manager became his own worst enemy just because of his attitude and how he handled one staff member being kind to a paying customer.

Stuff like this is why sometimes I get choosy about what restaurants I would love to eat at. Any restaurant that happens to have a sassy attitude to their employees that goes beyond the call of duty won't be getting any of my money. I choose to dine at restaurants that cares about their customers and hires those who care about others.

We have transitioned from leadership to victimhood. People want change until it is time to change.
They then complain about things that occur simply because they refused to change themselves first.
I know a lot of people like Grace and I know a lot of people like her manager. You are a product of your choices. Compassion and empathy starts at home, through love and kindness, not corporate settings and high strung wannabes constantly getting bad news.
Every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, just like the Golden Rule dictates. Also respect is earned and not necessarily a given. If you can't respect yourself first, you will never gain respect from others, since compassion and empathy starts at home, in your own heart and soul, first!!!
