Lots of times I asked PP to repeatedly their questions I founded they were annoying with me all my life that included my family. It’s making me strong and stronger with time. In this day and age, we all have hardships and struggles of one kind or another. Never underestimate someone because they appear to have what you consider a disability. Nice story and I bet the animal shelter gave her pets a more adequate home with plenty of food, water and loving care. A woman like that who owns a animal shelter would make it a loving caring haven for all animals. They would never go hungry, freeze or be lonely again under her ownership. As for her getting her hearing back. It was not due to any injury and the human brain can often do things to our bodies out of precieved guilt that we harbor if strong enough can cause such issues and never return at all. When she finally realised she was worth loving and was worth having a stable loving home it came back, luckily. Some people with such never get it back. She got blessed for her hard work and loving heart.

Well if you know the retail chains can have 1 pharmacist on duty with any number of techs, so the techs are sort of given more legroom so to speak. They can fill in for each other, go for smoke breaks in the middle of a rush, then when the shift is about to finish, they throw all the lagging work on the pharmacist to verify at the end of the shift. So what does the pharmacist do, work after closing to wrap up all the work after sending everyone else home. Because management doesn't like overtime. The pharmacist gets rated on the skill of his/her staff, whoever you're stuck with, you are stuck with. Like it or not. Now they want skilled techs. who have passed an examination for which they have a grace period, so now more than ever it is a revolving door of unskilled workers, who would rather not get trained.

It just means that they have to do things a different way. When we see situations like this we try to put ourselves "in their shoes". And because we haven't had the the teaching that they have to learn how to function with the situation they think that the person is not able to function. seemed not right. She loved her pets and they loved her. If he was so rich, he should have made it possible for them to live with them in their home. Your pets are part of your family. It's not right to send them to a shelter to be removed. Wrong for that.

I would go so far as to venture that when the child(ren) was/were born that Lauren made sure they knew and loved the animals, too.)

What a heart warming and very satisfying video! I say satisfying because those who had looked down on her absolutely did not have the last laugh! She did! To put it in perspective, when someone tries to intimidate you or me, do we react negatively to that individual? Or do we simply not acknowledge that they even spoke or acted that way? This is what she did. And because she did not allow the attitude and actions of others to bring her down, in the end she quite literally went up!

Her son would have benefited from having animals to teach responsible along with the circle of life. As we all need tolerance death does happen, and with pets it helps us deal with grief as we grow up, also the dogs would have been great biting the a hole manager after the treatment of Lauren. She now owns an animal shelter, so now she's rehomed her 'beloved' pets into an impersonal shelter? I hope her fur babies weren't abandoned to uncaring employees & her human child isn't turned over to a nanny as soon as her work consumes her time once he/she is delivered. Once you accept an animal into your family you don't just throw it away once it's inconvenient for you to have around. I was all set to admire her until I came to that part, now not so much.

What a beautiful story… the tyrant was finally fired! Lauren’s life was full of hardship in spite of this she did everything she could to go on with her life. She had a beautiful and loving spirit.
There are many who suffered as children just as Lauren did. Many children have selfish or alcoholic parent’s who didn’t even care for their children’s basic needs.
Many children like Lauren grow up bitter and become just like their parents repeating the same cycle. Other’s like Lauren are determined to make better lives for themselves, do not let their hardship’s shape their life and they refuse to become bitter.
Lauren and others like her, channel everything they’ve been through in life, learn from it and per perverse. This story was a beautiful story true or not we can definitely learn from it and grow.

Well, I gotta be honest with you. I really enjoy the story and probably up to about 2/3 of the way through it actually became an amazing story and even made me I guess get some cheering up in my eyes because of the wonderful way the story turned out I think that it for me touched on a personal event or should I say personal events in my life while serving in the military how I almost lost my life and the fact that I really shouldn’t be here I missing parts of me on the inside, though I am whole on the outside, but even more than that part of my spirit was taken, and I had issues physiological issues similar to the woman’s loss of hearing when she went through something traumatic I think that there’s a part of us that sometimes we lose function of even when there’s no logical or understandable medical reason for it it’s because we’re not just physical beings, but we’re spiritual beings and often doctors treat one or the other, but really need to understand that we’re much more complicated than even that and even when things are intact physically they can still miss function or not function at all because part of our spirit, or our soul is broken, and in the story, the woman soul healed her spirit healed when somebody realized how much she was worth by loving her, and having a family with her and believing in her, and is healed, her is healed. what was broken especially those things that were physically wrong in regards to her hearing and I think that’s what really touched me and I got to say I’ve been known in my life for the most part as a guy that’s considered to be I guess you could say a tough guy, but this story really brought tears to my eyes even though I managed to hold them back they still we’re getting ready to start the fall. I guess my point is is that I sensed the stories, connection and explanation of how deep we really are as human beings, and that we all need to be loved, and appreciated every single one of us because we’re all worth it

James, Old Corps here. 1968-88 and 91 for the "Storm". You say you shouldn't be here? God has a plan for you, my young Devil Dog. You might not believe it but it's true. There are many opportunities for you to help someone in need, if you only keep your eyes open. Helping someone load groceries in their car or taking the cart back. Buying a hamburger and drink for a homeless person. Help- someone cross a street. Help a co-worker carry something. Help kids with homework or mentor someone. I have had some dope stuff when I have helped someone. Always a positive thing after helping someone. At first, I thought I was lucky but on reflection, it was a result of helping someone less fortunate. The best thing of all, I feel good for having done the deed. My wife calls it "collecting blessing from Heaven".
I am of the Vietnam era Corps, but never was in combat there. I have survivor's syndrome. All our brothers wasted over there but I am still here. WHY? Dude, it wasn't my time. If I had went there, all the good I did after words would have not happened. That was God's plan for me. Jim, look around, you'll see things that you can help with. I suffered all those years, not knowing. Took time off to deflate upon retirement. 4 months. Total depression. Finally pulled up my bootlaces and found some work. But I NEVER EVER got to drinking, drugs, or acting crazy. I had a loving wife and daughter. God told me to listen to them. That is what saved my life.
Jim, you have worth, maybe not in your mind but God has plans for you. Stay square, remember your training. UUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRaasaaaaahhhhh! Semper Fidelis, Lean Green. Nighttrain

This story made me cry. Cause I became deaf 17 years ago. I tried to take my life, cause I could not handle the silence around me. I lost my job and found myself getting isolated from people around me. It was hard, cause no one wanted to talk to me or even try to talk with me in sign language. I began to retreat into my silent world. I'm still in my silent world and spend time reading and reading and chatting with people on the net. My deafness is a DNA problem. My grandma was deaf, my dad was deaf. Then I found out, that I have 2 aunts that are deaf too. All from my father's side. Someone gave me a hearing aid some 7 years ago, but it's not working to well now, as hearing aids do have a life span. So, I do not wear it anymore. The silence is my companion now. I hate apologizing to people, when I go to the market and keep saying, sorry, I'm deaf. If I buy some food stuffs, I just say what I want, pay my bit and go back to my room. I have one dog and he is my best friend. With him, I get to know, whose outside and I know when he barks. Not sure why I'm still alive, but one day I will get to know. For now, I hear with my heart and my eyes.

She had surgery on one ear the 20 yrs later the other ear. She had good hearing for the most part, but in later years got hearing aids. Both my brothers have also had to have this surgery, my youngest brother has still to accept it and get his hearing fixed! My cousin had to have occular surgery plus hearing aids. Many on my mothers side has had this genetic defect, we are aware it exists in our family. On my dads side, my first cousin (one of 34) was born deaf, we all as a family learned to communicate. Her entire family moved to Fairbault MN so she could go to school at the Deaf school. This was back in early 60’s. Today we are all so thrilled with invention of texting and Facebook, as we all can communicate effortlessly!

I was shocked that the HR person didn't do more about the awful boss, or the way Lauren, was treated from the start. At the company I work at, the way she was treated because of her disability would have been a huge no go. It's not appropriate in any work environment. That's something one can certainly be terminated for. I love the strength she had to endure it all and in the end she got all the deserved. But if she had all that schooling and qualification, why didn't she do something sooner?
It made me really sad the way he late fiancé's mother treated her. If they had just accepted the marriage, then maybe it would have taken place at a different location that his family would have been invited to, and he'd still be there. I have so many thoughts and feelings, but it may take an entire novel to express them all.

I had a bird that had a bad foot matter of fact the foot was amputated due to the fact that it had been burnt from Landing in a cast iron frying pan. I had got this bird from the shelter only had one foot at the time and I brought it home. So as far as a parrot having a broken foot that can happen, it is possible.

    • @1959Aeroflyte
      @1959Aeroflyte Рік тому

@@diannerae7769 It was not about the broken foot. It was not catching the mistake of calling it a 'paw'. Dogs has paws. Bears have paws. Horses have hooves etc. But birds have feet/foot. It is part of proofreading your work to catch such mistakes. But many UA-camrs, who post such stories , unfortunately do not check their work in the rush to get yet another video out onto UA-cam. I think it is the quantity over quality issue.

your mother should have come to you at that time. I was also very heard of hearing and couldn't use a phone, only understand a very few words. Calling from a distance to a deaf person just rubs me the wrong way. I'm old now and had cochlear implants which I was lucky enough to be able to hear on the phone more than I could growing up. It still frustrates me that parents never understand how stressful a hearing loss is.

Its a good story. Never look down on a persons financial status. Characters are more substantial to life. Humble, kind, patience, caring are some inner qualities that Lauren have. Love comes in all different aspects. Doesnt see color, financial status, race or culture. Love is love pure, kind, understanding. People should learn fron this. Never mistreat anyone. Because you dont know a persons story. Always be kind to everyone...

She's now living a happy life with her husband.. well, she deserves it, nd that is the reward God has given her

If I were the boss, I'd have tried finding out what was happening in the office much sooner, and would have interviewed the staff as well as reaching out to all the talent he'd apparently hired himself that was fired or resigned.
Also, this was not in the U.S.S.A. where you'd have a salary as part of a work CONTRACT. While you might leave or be fired, they can't just cut your salary without both parties agreeing.

The story makes me angry, not only because the people in the story were almost all jerks, including her fellow employees, the story teller makes it sound like everyone had a right to dismiss her because she had a hearing problem, then at the end she miraculously got her hearing back and now was "completely whole", she was whole before that happened. It is great that the deafness was psychosomatic, but Nolan realized her great qualities when she was still deaf. So many of these stories, dismiss people with difficulties until things change and everything is normal. People are special because they are people not because they are "whole" everyone has value no matter what, even the jerks in this story are valuable, they need to change for the better, but still have value.
