Andrea, they did something Smart they made the Entire Boardwalk Area for Kids and Families. They also put the family rooms and daycare in that area. So most of the Children will be in that area most of the Trip. It was kinda Smart. I think you will be alright. I'm very excited... also !!
Hi Fromthefuture, I just like the fact the the best part of the aft area can now be utilized during the day by all guests, instead of the empty AquaTheater.
@@TalkingCruise I like the Open View of the Aqua Theater and the Boardwalk in the rear. But don't get me wrong, if you are going to do something different, as ICON is, I think it's smart and innovative to make a change...
This ship looks absolutely stunning! I've been trying to get an answer on this but can't find it, can this ship sail under the Varrazzano bridge? Can it dock in Cape Liberty? Just curious as I know this ship will be out of Florida.
Hi JC, based on the Icon of the Seas having an additional 2 decks more than Oasis of the Seas, I would guess that it will be a no go under the bridge. There's not much clearance with Oasis as it is.
@@TalkingCruise yeah that is what I was thinking but couldn't find a definitive height. We'll just tough it out with Oasis class ships up here. Anthem is amazing too, hope we don't lose her. Thanks for the info.
Can't imagine why anyone would want to go on this monster. Talk about top heavy! Maybe look at the Swedish warship Vasa, built in the 1620s: Sank 1300 meters out after launch. Blown over by a small gust of wind.
Hi nancynee7680, thanks for watching. Yes, Icon of the Seas pricing is off the charts, but all cruises are currently priced substantially higher than before the pandemic. There's still a ton of demand and the cruise lines have a lot of debt to pay off.
The ship looks very enticing. Unfortunately, we are all booked for 2023 and she is not doing Europe in 2024. However, we are awaiting for the schedule of her sister, the Utopia of the Seas to come out. She is due in Spring 2024. If Icon is any indication, we will book the day Royal Caribbean announces their schedule for 2024.
Hi Veronica, thanks for watching. Utopia of the Seas is not going to be an Icon class ships, it will be the 6th Oasis class ship, but be powered by LNG liquified natural gas. It will more resemable the latest Wonder of the Seas.
As an automotive technician at a dealership and seeing the problems that brand new cars have. I think I will wait a couple years for this amazing ship to get broken in.
Hi danmead4787, thanks for watching. There will certainly be some "why did we design it this way" issues, but I'd wait just for the prices to equalize.
@@TalkingCruise i did my research only 17 lifeboats which have a capacity of 450 each. Total space of 7650. However I feel it may be hard to fill a lifeboat with 450 people in an emergency. They defo should have 2-3 extra boats
@@LoudfilmzThat’s why they have life rafts. They expand from a hard shell when they hit the ocean. They are used for crew members and any remaining passengers
There literally would be no point getting off the ship fir excursions. Perfect Day at Coo Key,” Do I mean nothing to you?!”😂I’d be exhausted just walking a quarter of the ship .
Hi Gamer Girl, my understanding was that many Star Trek fans thought the term trekkies was derogatory and preferred trekkers, I'm a fan myself but no label required 😀
Hi deborahwallace658, thanks for watching. Might be too big, but the way Icon of the Seas has been booking up at high prices, toms of people can't wait to get onboard.
Hi DT-hp8de, thanks for watching. While the Aquadome is larger, they used a similar design on the fully enclosed solarium on Wonder of the Seas and it was very pleasant in there during the day.
@@TalkingCruise I guess its true, I mean, not my cup of tea those huge crowds, specially on deck but I know there are all kinds of cruises for different tastes. At least my self woudlnt enjoy that particular kind XD
The question is... Does the planet really need another polluter like this??? Most people are unaware of how these large ships leave a harmful ecological mark on the planet. Not only by all the fuel they burns but also by the waste they produce and all the plastic and others that is collected in the sea. For most people they are great wonders but in reality they are huge disasters.
Hi Jaques, thanks for watching. Actually, Icon of the Seas will be one of their most energy efficient ships, will also run of clean burning LNG Liquefied Natural Gas and Royal Caribbean has instituted a major reduction in single use plastics onboard all of their ships.
We weren’t going to book this ship because of all the kids, but after this video I think we will. Thank you for your great work.

The ship looks like it has plenty of different areas to visit when you might have considerably less children than other areas.
Wow this looks crazy! Great coverage of the ship 🛳️

Imagine a world cruise with this beast!
Hi 470interista, thanks for watching. Would be cool, but it would not be able to travel to many ports around the world due to the size.
Such a huge ship! Will be sailing November '24. Looking forward to it🤗💕

Hi QualityChildcare1, you're going to be one of the first onboard Icon of the Seas, congrats.
They out Disney... Disney. This ship is definitely going to take some sales from Disney. Royal Built the Ultimate Family Ship...
Very Exciting.
Hi Fromthefuture, why not, the pricing for Icon of the Seas is getting into Disney realm as well.
@@TalkingCruise You are Right...lol
She looks amazing! I’m honestly looking forward to the pearl cafe and the new aqua dome!
Hi Joseph, since I love the Aquatheater shows, the new Aqua Dome should make it more comfortable to watch in climate controlled environment.
I will be on here next year
Hi Valentino 312, thanks for watching.

anyone know where i can see the elevators? i am so scared of elevators
