    One of the best shows ever made. Seen every episode so many times, I can recite all the lines along with the actors,never get tired of it. Nothing made on American TV could ever match it.

    • @fjccommish
      @fjccommish Рік тому +4

      Correct. Old American comedies are head and shoulders better than this. They'd have to fall a long way to match it. However, British comedy is second to American, and that's pretty good.

      You've brought up an interesting question. For everyone reading this, who is YOUR television family? I really like the Golden Girls, but I've never thought of them as a television family. I'm 45, so I'd have to say that The Cosby Show or Family Ties was my TV family. I miss those days of campfire television. Everyone gathered around the only tv set in the house and shared some wholesome entertainment together as a family. It's a shame that kids born in the twenty-first century will never experience that really. Everyone has their own device and can watch full seasons at any time.

    • @cneterer
      @cneterer 2 роки тому +9

      @@stephenturner757 well, sounds like this might not fit your definition per the Golden Girls, but the 4077th on M*A*S*H was probably my TV family. I was 10 years old when the show ended, but while I saw it I absorbed compassion from Radar, sarcasm from Hawkeye, common sense and dignity from Col. Potter, devotion to your family from BJ, and an appreciation for a strong woman from Margaret.

    Every time I see that bandage on Mr Graingers head I think of the episode where the secretary’s father mistook him for Capt Peacock and fooling around with his daughter. Remember he took the cake and slammed it on his head so I’m figuring it’s a week or so after that and his head is still healing! Ahhh this show makes you fantasize! Lol

      Mr. Grainger also got the sultanas in his ears and almonds up his nose when that Dad slammed the cake on his head. Todays bandage is from waking up Mrs. Grainger when she was having a good dream. She threw a bottle of bismuth at him. Basically Pepto Bis. Always a circus of never ending F*U*N!!!
