This song .. and performance .. blow my mind. Some artists spend so much time doing complex riffs, melodies and verses, but a well-written and well-performed melody can be SO profound when it's just simple, and true. The lyrics touch on such a specific emotion. You know, that emotion when you're in love, where you see everything and then the meaning behind it all, like you're outside looking in .. and how much some things just remain the same forever. AND THEN how none of it compares (or even matters?) to the powerful emotion you feel for one person, and how that remains forever. That's the moment the camera captures the silhouette of Trace's arms out to his sides in the light. That's the promise a woman needs from a man.
