Kawaii Grill It depends on the paper! I tested it on a notebook paper and it did, while I did it again this time on the sheets of paper you buy in packs, and it did not smear at all. Hope this helps in some way
I got one of those as well as a gift from by brother (I'm a lefty :p) and I was so excited to use them... but a classmate of mine just had to take it then bite the tip and now it won't work :(
I just purchased the zebra sarasa (0.5) and I love it!! I’m left handed so I always struggled with gel pens as they would smudge, but not this one! It has a very consistent ink flow and hasn’t smudged on any of the regular lined/blank paper I have used. I totally recommend it!!
i love this video, my sister and both use our left hand of writing and it is such a pain when everything smears on your hand. I personally love the Energel line and the frixion for myself. Please keep making videos like this.
I have to say, the editing on this video is very nice! Love the different angles, and the topic of course! Looks like I'll be ordering the Sarasa Dry soon... ;)
I used to have the Pentel Energel in the needle tip, but everyone always steals them from me. They’re hella hard to find in the Pharmacy and I don’t really want to go out to staples :/ -new video idea: pens to give to people who always steal your pens-
I bought the Uni-ball Signo 207 in Organge about 4 years ago. About 16 of them for use when playing D&D. They smeared a bit too easily when I first got them from what I remember, but today, I can draw 3 "X"'s and swipe immediately with no issue. It's as if over time the ink became less prone to smearing, yet still flows nicely and is still vibrant.
Loved so much this video,i always tried to find some videos talking about smear test cause i'm left-handed writer and this ever happened with me, i think i'll buy sarasa pen, thank you so much
My heart: *oooooooh, I neeeeeeeed this!* My family, friends, brain, wallet, school, chances of paying for college, and that random person I saw at Walmart: *WHY ON EARTH DO YOU NEED THAT??!!!!!!*
I love the PenTel Energel pens! I use the 0.7 mm one and it dries real quick! I used to use Signo too and I like it but the grip isn't exactly my kind.
I would also recommend the artist lost fast-drying gel pens. They're not very popular but I bought them a long time ago and have kept on getting them! They work perfectly and they don't smear when you highlight, even with the mildliners. You can only find them at Micheals craft store though I think:)
tbh i used a very cheap black gel pen which i could get with rm2 ($ 0.48) for 5 pens! and its almost total smear free too! its also proven for highlighting. sometimes you just have to try on the thrift side and you might find useful things
Any alternatives for the Zebra Sarasa Mark On? I’ve been trying to find a gel pen that doesn’t smear when highlighted, unfortunately, zebra sarasa isnt sold in my country :(
You can get it on JetPens, you can also use the Pentel Energel RTX 0.5 Needle-Point or Conical Point. You can get the Energel RTX on either Amazon or JetPens :)
As a leftie, I use the Zebra Sarasa 0.7mm. However, I find that it runs out for me quite quickly - despite there being a lot of ink visible in the tube. Can I have some tips on making sure I use this pen to the best?
Can y'all do a video for the best pens for use with the mildliners? Because I love mine but I'm thinking its not smart to repurchase them if they just smear every pen I use. And yes I'm aware that I can prehighlight, but I forget (adhd) and then I'm stuck with smeared ink and a gross nib. They even smear my mark on (my favorote pen of all time) and that is rediculous.
Also was thinking maybe a video on ink and what types work best with what type of markers. Like the Tombows pair well with the Pigma Microns, but dont play so nice with other liners. Maybe something to help us newbs understand what waterbased inks wouldmt smear and what to use with them? Maybe a series 101 on ink in general? I know Id but more things from jetpens if I didnt have to worry abut wasting my money on items that dont play nice with each other.
I like Zebra Sarasa but sometimes they arent completely smear-free :))) edit: if you use any of other pens (besides Uniball gel pens since i already used them before) pls give me a recommendation XD
I think it depends on the paper as well. Both my Zebra Sarasa Dry and Pentel Energel X take longer time to dry on Rhodia paper comparing to other notebooks.
Sharpie S-Gel 0.7 -- does not smear. Uniball 207 Gel Signo 0.7 - smears just a little (like a faint film, not a G2-style blot). If you give it a few seconds to dry, it's fine.
I like gel pens, but when I hear waterproof I start to salivate. When I was a repair plumber, the record of my life was on a 3 x 5 note pad which went into a puddle more times than I care to remember. Next to a sharpie, nothing had quite the staying power of the old school Parker T-ball, or PaperMate Lubriglide inks. The original Parker gel was very disappointing, but that was years ago! Thanks for the update! Fortunately, Covid will keep me out of Staples for a while.
@@may2hearts Unfortunately, we don't carry the Zebra Kokoro, so we're not able to say how long it takes before it stops smearing. Sorry we couldn't be of more help!
The Zebra Sarasa Dry seems really popular with lefties. I’m not a leftie myself but I’ve used the Sarasa Dry as my main note taking pen and I’m in love with it. It dries really quickly!
Paper is pretty easy. But what about best pen for writing on polymer labels? Like tubes in a lab/healthcare application? Non-smearing and fast drying. Thanks!
That depends on what you're looking for in a gel pen! If you need more colors EnerGel is better. If you want to highlight over your gel pen, the Mark On is better.
Better get one for my classmates!!! I have 4 left-handed classmates. 3 girls, 1 boy. Giving to 2 girls because their birthdays are on summer break! IDK the birthday of the boy, the other girl's birthday is done. Getting one Frixion and one Dry!
Can you please sell the zebra mildliner brushpens on jetpens.com because i want to buy them but do not know where i can bay these brush pens Btw love your channel 😘great job😉
Do you use any of these pens? :)
JetPens no but I wish 😔
Yes. Im using Signo and Energel. Sarasa too, but the standard one (clip)
Not yet. I can't wait to get the Pentel EnerGel Permanent pens.
I want to. 😣💚

Definitely a video needed showing the best gel pen to use with highlighters!!
I don't really like gel pens, but I fall asleep to this every night. Such a satisfying video.
Ok.
I swear by the pentel energel pens, they're great, although I use 0.7 mm ones rather than the 1 mm ones
me too...although I like the 0.5mm best I also use 0.3mm and 0.7mm
Me too, I love the needle point tips.
Does it smear when you highlight it?
