Well, that's a coincidence. We just bought a RANS S-6S with a non-original Luga 106 style prop, which performs great and runs quiet. It also has the 75mm hub, whereas the "stock" RANS Sensenich wood prop used the 101.6mm bolt pattern and spacer (like your original). We are taking the other approach, buying the larger 101.6mm hub direct from NR Prop (it's the same outfit as Luga) in Ukraine. Seems stronger (uses the lugged 13mm fasteners) and that will let us use our original RANS spacer as-is. We think it will expand the 69" Luga into a 70" diameter, so maybe get a slight bump in performance. Cost is about the same as buying a different spacer to fit the 75mm hub, which we'd otherwise need. Will update this comment when our solution is tested.
thanks for sharing the interesting video. I also ordered the product too but it took him two weeks to prepare it, is it Model R-107 or some other model.?
The Warp is a good prop, real thrusty, but so heavy! The kickback when shutting down is so much less with the lightweight Luga, it has to also be easier on the gearbox. The only prop lighter, is a Prince, which what I have on my S-7S, but it's alsomore then twice the cost of the Luga/NR, and it took 6 months to get!
Are you going to put a Yamaha up front and if so why is the Luga prop being paired with the Yamaha engines so much? I did enjoy the video fyi and my inner smart ass did refrain from telling you what Mike Patey would have done with your spinner.
If the rotax gives us trouble I might toss a Yamaha on it but it flies so well on the rotax that it doesn’t need more power for the mission we use it for. I have the rockhopper in the works for that! I think so many Yamahas and rotaxes are getting the luga treatment is that they pull really well and are inexpensive.

Found your channel about 3 days ago because of the rock hopper. So glad to see that your posting again!!!
Beautiful slip, seems I never see that much anymore. BTW great series of videos, well done like the way you think.
Great video Ian. Thanks for sharing.

I’m afraid I don’t have the model since I bought mine second hand.
Gld to see ya back on and love the NASHBRO tee.

Question. I'm looking at.a S-6ST (trycile) but I'm 6'1" and 240. In your experience will it be a good fit?
More than that it’s one of the best planes for tall people. I’m 6’2” and fit great.
Are you worried at all about the number of new holes drilled in the hub and spinner, possibly reducing strength due to the closeness of each hole?
Not at all. There are plenty of spacers in manufacture with more holes than I drilled so I’m unconcerned about it.
@@ianslife210 Cool, great vid's keep it up. I'm just starting my Highlander build
