If this had been an American or Russian crash, half of the passengers would have died due to failure to follow evacuation instructions.

The border crisis in Texas is really out of hand, something really needs to be done about this, this New Year. I heard on the news the other day that New Jersey along with some other states were sending the immigrants back on the bus to Texas and then I heard that two buses of immigrants were just dropped off in a rural area in Colorado right in front of Safeway too. Very sad.

Hopefully more folks will pay attention to the cabin crew when they show methods/ways to evacuate an aircraft. In the States, training entails pax (& crew) getting out of a burning aircraft in 90 seconds. Kudos to these pax & crew as thankfully it paid off.
Condolences to the families & friends of the Coast Guard people who were en route to help victims of that earthquake.

A 1.7 magnitude quake? How did anyone manage to feel that small of a tremor? That's like a large truck hitting a building down the block.
A 1.7 will be magnified on the base NYC is built upon. Furthermore, it’ll be much more noticeable on upper floors of sky rise buildings not built with earthquakes in mind.

What would USA citizens do in the same case as the Japanese that evacuated that burning plane? They evacuated in 3-5 seconds. It appears another precautionary measure of safety is demanded of airline industries in all countries to include earthquake activity that may put international travel at higher risk. It will be necessary to advise all international commercial flights a given airport is closed for ground emergency crews as another layer of air safety.
