Hi Joelle - this has been a very helpful sequence for me. I discovered recently that my glutes have been the problem for most of my lower back pain. Doing this sequence daily for the past few days has been extremely helpful!
Great practice here! Just what the doctor ordered. I am missing being able to see a physical therapist and in person Yoga classes during the pandemic, this routine will fill in nicely and help with my tight hips and glutes. Thank You!!
@@derekwalker815 I have osteoarthritis in the lumbar. But recently I’ve been having pain in the left glute, sometimes running down the leg feeling like hamstring. Both are aggravated by sitting for too long and I did that for too many years of my life!
Thank you so much Joelle for your amazing sequences! I have been struggling with recurring hip pain for a while and when i came across your hip stretches and bursitis videos it helped me so much to alleviate that stubborn pain! Your calming presence and deep knowledge of anatomy makes every video practice very enjoyable and helpful! Thank you for all your hard work! Lots of love from London :)

Joelle I did this session after traveling cross country on 4 different flights, my luggage malfunctioned and I had to carry it 😮 also heaps of extra sitting time as 3 of the 4 flights were delayed! Then my hips locked up and I had to hunch forward in order to move my body forward. After a few hours of rest & sleep, I still wasn’t myself until I joined u on the mat! Then I was truly healed!!!! I appreciate the variety of hip opener routines you have created! I would appreciate hearing more about breath work when to breathe in and out on some of the poses. I enjoy your energy and routines! ;)
Thank you for this practice, the "modified" pigeon pose felt absolutely great. My body has been so tired past one and a half weeks that I'm rarely even able to do my daily yoga practices. This felt so good, it brought me to tears during the end. Thank youxxx
Thank you for this! I was struggling with tingling in my right calf for over a month. After I did this yoga I was almost completely back to normal after 2 days. I’m so grateful as I tried all sorts of strength exercises and nothing was working.
I didn’t miss the milestone, just wanted to give it its own line and not just an add on to a comment! Well done on reaching 11k Joëlle!!! Keep up the momentum while I keep up with the practice!!👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏼
I’m really enjoying this session that is opening up my hips and glutes! I have been in pain for several months and this 25 minute yoga session has been life-changing. I wondered if this is a session that I should be doing every day or every other day?thank you again for this video and for your calming voice and music. It’s a wonderful way to start the day.
I'm so glad it's helping Kate! You're very welcome to do this as often as fits your schedule, but I do usually recommend a little bit of variety so the body doesn't get too used to the same stretches. If you check out my hips playlist (on the Playlist tab of my channel) you'll find lots of other practices targeting this general area, so you could try any of them on an alternate day and see if you find 1 or 2 others that resonate with you too :) I hope that helps!

This is really helping me. I so love it and so appreciate the moves for they are easy to go into. My hips and flutes are hurting due to my new job. This is really helping me. Thank you
Wonderful! Great job Patricia - and good job listening to what felt good for you. Depending on whether the pulling in banana pose feels like it's coming from the upper or lower body, you can always try taking a "half-banana" by just moving the upper/lower body to the side and keeping the other part centered. Or you can play around with decreasing the angle and making more of a "mini-banana." I hope that helps! 🌟
