My theory is that these are all different events that occurred to him in various timelines of his life: he was a child to his parents, a friend in a group out partying, a boyfriend in a turbulent relationship, and then a husband with a beautiful family. Throughout, he felt like he never fit perfectly into any of these roles. In his journey of self-discovery, he encounters another human, Kim Minha, who is as lost as he is in the maze of societal roles and expectations. However, after they have a conversation on the couch, he realizes that it's not just him; this is the reality for most people, and life is never going to feel perfect. Cut to him being transported to these scenarios again, but now he is happy because knowing he is not alone in the journey makes him appreciate life and its imperfections more. In the end, it feels almost like an enlightenment where he is freed from the shackles of pursuing a perfect life and now understands the true meaning of living. You see him walking through the forbidden door with Kim Minha, both now happy and content.

It’s about his expectations on himself.. despite having everything fame and fortune, he expected more from himself.. he wanted to be in a relationship.. wanted to be a husband a dad.. wanted to have genuine connection. He never wanted to be a disappointment to his parents but towards the end he finally found himself again and he came back to himself happy and contented with where his life at.
Also at the end where the camera pans to different rooms it’s about the different possibilities he can be in the future.. he’s enjoying the journey of life now
i think come back to me means saying "come back to myself" to yourself, not to another person. journey of self discovery, you can be anything you want, every version of you is in the right place already, you'll find your way. he's shared lots of media like film and books in the past years about this, it's beautiful to see what he drew from it.

The lyrics are so brilliant. Real Genius. Just using divine and pain in the same sentence is Genius. It is extracted from a philosophical theory that Humans lives ocscillate between pain and boredom. According to some philosophers, Happiness means experiencing and surviving pain; after that pain comes relief and "happiness". A definition of "Happiness" is : better state than the one before. "Happiness" is not being in a state of boredom. Most often, people who consider themselves unhappy are just bored and do not experience surviving pain. RM is always amazing. RM itself is a masterpiece.Every member of BTS is really exciting. They have their own unique tone and music style. The 7 members are obviously very different, but the 7 members can sound harmonious together. This is BTS is different from other Kpop. They always try various music fields and express their love for music. This is why BTS will always occupy an important position in my heart.

I saw a theory where it says that the concept of Come Back To Me is “the right person in the wrong place”.
Basically nanjoom put everything together to show us that what is wrong can be fixed.
When he opened the door he was entering the place at the wrong times, the nanjoom who was at the party shouldn't have been there at that family moment, at the time of the fight this nanjoom shouldn't have been there. In the end he manages to discover the right places for each correct version, realizing that what was wrong could be fixed.
I also saw a theory that makes a lot of sense with this one where it says that the girl at the end is actually his daughter, but in the future, if we get a vision of Nanjoom as a child, that would be a vision of his future where the girl grew up.
Him being together with her at the end shows that he managed to enjoy every moment, no matter how difficult it is to deal with the situation in the end we will always find a solution, we see that he managed to open the door he was trying to open before with the girl's help, he managed to realize that before it wasn't the right time, he wanted to escape those situations but there was no point because everything has its time, in the end everything fell into place, and he understood that, he managed to get through the door and finally be able to enjoy his life because every situation now was in the right place at the right time.
The messages are we dont have to be anything this society told us ,our happiness is our choice no matter what we do or are choose to do dont forget to be happy and be you. Thank you KIM NAMJOON

I think it's about not being ready to meet society's expectations thrown at you in life.
You are supposed to have fun at a party, get married + have kids, do as your parents expect of you and so on throughout life.
When you're not ready for them you are the wrong person at the right place and feel like running away or hiding because those situations overwhelm and scare you.
But once you meet yourself eye to eye + find comfort in being who you are, then you realize, that you don't have to live like that, then you are ready for a real relationship and even leave alltogether and find a completly new way.

Different Doors represents him as a child, boyfriend, husband and father. The girl in the video represents ARMY where he belongs. Did you noticed her face radiated in purple?💜

My understanding of the mv is that all of the different sets are separate realities of rm's life that *could* come true. They're not actually real but could be. The problem is that, at the beginning all the different scenarios represent societal expectations set on namjoon (and everyone else), which makes joon feel out of place and dislocated from these possible realities, which is why he looks so unhappy at the beginning. This is proven by the fact that he rejects the cigarette his friend offers (smth considered "normal" but which joon rejects because it doesn't reflect him), and ignores the couple kissing bc the public kissing /having to be in a relationship feels like a tiring expectation for him as well. The doors are basically gateways into different "futures" or "pasts" of namjoon that he could live, but he looks so confused in each of them at the beginning because he knows society expects him to choose one of them, but they don't suit him. In that sense they're oppressive, which leads namjoon to want to escape and run away, which is what he does in the corridor scenes. The basic idea is that all of these societal expectations are a type of "performance" people put on, but are not necessarily what they truly want. This is why the girl who appears to also be trying to escape this maze of societal obligations, makes namjoon realise he is not alone in his sentiment of not fitting in. This is why his different selves in each of the sets start to look happy, because he's realised that he doesn't necessarily truly want those things, or if he does, that he doesn't have to actually pursue them if he ever changes his mind, because those don't define him as a person. Whether you're in a relationship or not, whether you have friends or not, whether you smoke or not, whether you have children later or not, you're still a person with as much worth as everyone else. Namjoon gains courage thanks to the girl who allows him to see his authentic self that he embraces (just like he accepts that all the differents scenarios are in fact a kind of "act"). But in order to truly liberate himself and his reflection (the girl), he chooses to go on his own path, which may deviate from what society claims is "normal" or "necessary for happiness". The result is a matrix-like path, where you're aware of all the societal constructs around you, but you don't feel alone anymore because you understand yourself better, staying true to yourself, and know that others feel different, just like you.

Its about a book 'the midnight Library'
When i 1st saw this MV, i knew this had to do with alot of symbolizm. The way Joon thinks, his way of art mentally fits perfect for his whole perspective. A maze of endless possibilities and choices in life U have to make to keep yourself sane can be challenging. Every choice made gives a result & U have options to change them to improve and learn. But the biggest thing is to accept before going forward. That was my take🤌🏼

If you've read the book 'The Midnight Library' by Matt Haig, [which Namjoon was seen reading in In The Soop Season 2], Namjoon's character mirrors the protagonist. He explores different phases of life filled with regrets as the librarian guides him between doors.
The final scene resembles the bookshelf in the Midnight Library, where each book depicts the regrets of the protagonist Nora Seed.
The protagonist finally realizes that her current life is the best version and lives it without regrets. This is mirrored in the end scene where Joon leaves with Minha (the librarian) and returns to his current life without any regrets.

the woman is not actually the woman, as per say,... she is the guide that he keeps losing sight of but that always seems to find him when he feels at the end of his rope.
and the scenes are how others percept him in his life: plant lover, people who baby him in his crib till they get bored because he hides from them, others who pressures him with drinks and smoke or others who think that he is married with kid... etc...but, he is relaxed at one point and he is not affected anymore, he is at peace with himself and accepted to go to this journey, even if at the beginning was afraid of them all, now he embrace them how they come... V and Joonie and all 7 are happy where they are and ready for whatever it is because they chose to love themselves! Exactly what they encourage as to do... once again! love u all x
